Very cool and works well. I did notice the player can jump out of their attack, which is helpful for fighting enemies (until you get the laser attack which is better). But it feel janky because the player can't move after jumping during the attack.
I really liked the puzzles! They were clever but simple enough that they don't take forever to solve. There are a couple of issues with the camera sensitivity being a little too high and the 3rd person camera being awkward in some of the tight spaces. I would have liked the light to be a bit bright or at least have a larger radius as well.
Overall I think the game is well done and fun to play
I think this game is pretty good and mostly just needs polish in some areas. The animations are cool, but you can spam click to cancel them (not too big of a deal). While I find the combat satisfying, I do think it isn't that challenging, maybe having the blue spiders be much quicker could help. I also think that after the enemies die you can disable their collision, same thing for the destructible walls, making them lose collision instead of having to wait for the rubble to despawn. I think a sensitivity option would be great. Also, the game is a bit dark sometimes so maybe making the light ability a bit more intense could help.
Other than that, I really liked the level design, it was really fun exploring the maze-like levels and getting the new abilities to unlock even more places to explore. The memory puzzles in the last level were fun.
I like the theme of your game! Some feedback I have is the font in the help scene is a little difficult to read. In the second part of the game, the player can peer through the breakable walls and kill spiders through the wall (actually it's any wall you can peer through while in first person). I would also suggest some kind of way to go back to the menu after you've started the game. I feel like the light is just slightly not bright enough to help navigate the darker parts of the levels. I enjoyed the complex level layouts you've created! Also it was a little difficult to tell what I was supposed to do in level three. Overall, I enjoyed playing your game!
I think this is really neat :) I love the aesthetics and imagery present and it's obvious you put a lot of thought into your character. I feel more could have been done to communicate to the player things such as successful hits, direction, and having accessible help/menu options however. It's hard to figure out what the overall goal of the game is. I'd love to get up with you after class to see about watching a playthrough video you might have -- I'd love to see what the game can offer, but I am too locked by skill issues and unclear direction to make meaningful progression.
Overall design was cool and well put together. The hitboxes for the spiders was slightly confusing/hard to hit but other than that everything was good.
Really cool concept for a puzzle/action game. The different mechanics being added throughout the game were a great addition. I felt the main player character was out of place with the rest of the game's theming.
