This game is so chill and interesting, I had a very great time playing it! The graphics and music also very nice! I want to play it more in the future so I'll be back to the game. And I really like the different endings! However, there is one disadvantage for me - managing the stats may be quite difficult because of random. For example, you want to increase love to the max level, but random says "no, you don't want it" and gives you any other stats without the one that you need. This isn't a big problem, just a little frustrating.
Thanks a lot for the game, it helped me relax when I needed it <3
The artwork looks great, and audio fits very nicely!
I noticed that having the stats written out on the cards nudged me towards skipping the reading of what the actions actually were, and just mechanically choosing cards that are suitable for my current state. Not sure if there's a way around this though, as without the stats shown the outcome will probably be too unpredictable...
Still, congrats on such a nice submission, very well done!
Thank you for the kind words!
Yes, it's hard to find the balance there. I decided to just show them to at least let the player know how it will affect the stats. I guess, it is up to the player to be immersed into the narrative, with the supporting information of the stat effects of each card at the bottom. Ultimately, the goal here is for the players to reflect on their decisions and how they affect other areas of our lives.
Thank you for playing my game. Good luck with the jam!
I like this art style, and the game resonates well with everyday life.
I wanted to do a more wholesome game with the theme. I figured a lot of people would go for something health-related which I originally planned to do too. Thanks for playing!
Great game! It was pretty hard to beat for me, but loved the artwork and concept!
Thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked it!
The art was the star of the show here, loved it!
Thank you. I'm glad you loved it! :)
I loved the art style. It is very very cute. And the scenarios and fun and interesting. But at times my sleep meter would go down and I didn't understand why?
Thanks for playing! There's actually a decay every week to keep the tension of having to maintain the stats. It is also affected by stress, where high stress = lose sleep. It's pretty common to spiral in this game when stress gets too high. I hope you still had fun!
This was incredible, the art, the idea, etc. But I swear there were no cards for sleeping the first time I played, though, so I crashed out hard. But I managed to do a lot better on the second run. Good work.
Yeah, someone also mentioned that no cards were given to recover some sleep stat. It seems like my weighted random system is not working properly or something happened during export. I apologize about that. I hope you still had fun playing it! Thanks for the feedback. :)
I really really adore this. This really has a beautiful artistic premise and a really amazing interpretation of the theme bundled with good polish as well as very endearing visuals and sound, this ticks all the boxes!
Super well done, I really hope you do well in the jam!
Thank you so much for playing! I'm really happy that the overall atmosphere and interpretation of the theme resonated with you. I spent a lot of time trying to balance the tone of the visuals, gameplay, and feedback together to really sell the overall experience of managing your life while playing.
Good luck in the jam as well!
I feel like the randomness might be a bit too strong. When my Sleep and Career were both about to hit rock bottom, I just couldn’t get any activities that helped recover either of them. “Working myself sick” describes my run perfectly.
The way the theme is blended with real life is really cool. I also really like how the game combines a calm atmosphere with stressful decision-making.
I feel like my weighted random system is not working as I wanted it to, so I apologize about that. I hope you still had fun playing it! Thank you for the feedback. :)
Artistic AF, and very on-theme!
Quite melancholy / stressful rather than cosy personally despite the very chill graphics and music, aha.
You know what, I agree with you haha I changed the cozy part of the description. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for playing!
Very well made, beautiful piece of art right here!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I'm not really an artist myself so I stayed away from drawing characters for the scenes haha!
Really fun game.. very cozy and great art. For a game made in short span is really great and has a lot of potential <3
Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it!
This is a very nice game! The art is super clean and the gameplay is very cozy.
I ended up playing this game for nearly 2 hours to win at every mode (Overworked was most difficult, kept losing to sleep). The art, music, and mechanics all feel cohesive with the central idea of balancing life. The card UI noise/scaling on hover + click sound is very satisfying. Solid use of the theme.
Did you take inspiration from any other games for the mechanics? I really like the stat trading.
I really love how incredibly well this takes something you experience in the world and expresses it through mechanics. I think this game will stick with me for a while.
Thank you so much for playing the game. Wow , I admire your dedication!
For the inspiration, I did take inspiration from the game called You're just imagining it here on itch. It has a sort of stat trading, but the gameplay is more of a narration on the developer's experience. As far as I know, you only have one ending there.
I wanted to make believable emergent endings based on your choices and I created an automated simulation to balance the parameters. You can maybe read some of it from my devlog. :)
I like how the game somehow reflects my lifestyle in some way. And it's relaxing to go through while also a bit panicking to see my stress levels rise too high!
I'm glad you liked it! I specifically tweak the values to have an emergent ending based on how people choose. I wrote a devlog specifically talking how I achieved it to reflect our lifestyle.
Very cozy and beautiful artstyle, I love it lmao
I got the replaced ending.
This game has very good polish and I really love the art style, I really like how the stats change based on which life style you pick that's a nice touch, and I like that there's many endings to get you really thinking about how you want to manage your stats!
I really like how you made the theme relate to real life, serves a nice reflection and message about how you choose to spend your time effects the future.
I'd just say I'd like if there was different activities per life style choice.
Great Job!! : )
I'm glad you liked it! A bit melancholic ending you got haha I added a lot of ending to fully immerse the player when choosing activities, so you don't just click mindlessly and get an ending. So, I'm glad that you got what I wanted to portray through this game and serve as a reflection of our lives.
For the different activities, I 100% agree with you. The lifestyle choices were actually a last day addition, so the activities were only intended for the Average lifestyle. I only added them because it was hard to get some of the endings. It also makes sense since it reflects how each one of us does not start from the same stats.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful!
Despite all, I survived. And even managed to boost my health! Great idea and great game, very well done!
Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it!
Beautiful and depressing game haha. Great art, fun vibes with the audio. Nice take on the theme.
Well, that's life right haha. Thank you so much for playing!
