This is really well done for your first jam game! Had a lot of fun with this.

Health being currency and the multiplier at the end of each round make for super interesting mechanics. This is a really cool concept and a good foundation if you ever decide to expand on it! Really neat!

Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm certainly considering expanding this one. I'd like to at least give a full level experience, with more rounds, defensive towers, and enemies.

Cool concept !

I love tower defense games! Nice job for your first jam!

Very creative concept, and the sound effects and music work well. I think the balancing and polish need work though. Congrats on your first game jam. Keep it up!

The idea is definitely creative, and balancing the health is nice! It would be nice to have more turrets and enemies. Also, knowing the range of the turrets before placing it is nice, but I liked the sounds. Good job!

Good entry, though it's really basic and lacks anything interesting. The game also really lacked a restart button. It's not a big issue, but having to refresh the page after dying isn't the most comfortable way of staring a new run. Still, it's really amazing that you managed to make something that works during the jam, congrats for that!

Keep up the good work!

Oh, no/yes ? But it was actually pretty fun, decent game! Good job!

LMAO, I knew the loose screen didn't stop the game but didn't consider you could still win haha. Glad you liked it still!

Not bad. Needs a bit more polishing and an end screen when you lose/win the game, but otherwise it's fun.

Thanks for playing!

Really fun!!! I would love to see this expanded ! :)

Developer

Glad you liked it! Im likely going to expand it some to see where it can go. I was a little sad I couldn't at least get more tower and enemies in before the deadline.

I really like the concept on this one, simple, right now but I could see this expand a lot.  I also really love the sound effects, very satisfying when you kill and enemy.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I got all the sound and music from opengameart.org I used 4 different sounds for the slimes dying which are selected randomly, then also varied their pitch so they don't get so repetitive. which was more important for the arrow sounds since you hear that a lot. I've also got three songs that are played randomly, if anyone wants to hear them muting the music and unmuting it picks one at random again.

The game was pretty simple and there were obvious bugs like in the game over scene, the game is still playable and I could add more defences making my defence system impossible for anything to conquer my castle.

It's still pretty fun I must say, good job!

Developer

yeah I did know about this one and some other bugs but was just too exhausted to fix it lol. Thanks so much for playing!

I don't think I am very good at tower defense games, but I certainly didn't think it would be this hard for me. I've managed to beat round 2 by mostly placing in the corners, but can't seem to get past that point :( It would be cool if  you could see the range of your towers to allow for more strategic placements. I think the health being your currency thing was basically just "your gold is your health and you die in 1-3 hits now", but the multiplier made it interesting, basically forcing you to use less towers in earlier waves to clear the later ones where things get harder. Overall pretty cool game, maybe a bit too difficult, or atleast for someone not good at tower defense games like me.

Developer

Thanks for playing! The balancing was certainly a bit daunting for me to figure out. I think the multiplier was a big step but I can def see how it can still be too hard. I think with how it is currently it was always gonna either be too hard or too easy for some people. Showing range would def be an improvement that was kinda easy for me to overlook since I already know the range. If you want a tip you can place them in the middle of the snake parts of the path, so that you are hitting three directions of the path at once.

fun td game, the risk/reward of spending health to buy towers is a neat idea. tho hard to tell how close the enemies are to dying. also i may have spammed too many towers at the start. cool concept

Developer

Thanks for playing and some feedback! I considered adding health bars but didn't get around to it. But with it only being 4 rounds I was expecting for it to take some trial and error for people.

I had a lot of fun with this!  It was pretty hard and it scaled up a bit quick, but the risk/reward of buying more towers was definitely intriguing.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for some feedback! I do wish I had time to get playtesters, but I crunched most of the development in the last 16 hours or so of dev and slept for the last 8 lol.

Nice game, reminds me of when I used to play bloonsTD. I accidently died buying too many towers haha

Developer

Thanks, and yeah I pry could have prevented you from killing yourself, but didn't get around to it so now its a feature lol
