Nice game! Idk why the Necronomicon did me so dirty. I was a loyal servant! Also, those windows might be a bit tough, lol. I guess a ghost hitting a window and not being able to affect the real world as heavily as other ghosts makes sense. Good job!

I really like the inclusion of the story adds a lot of personality to the game, I also like that the book act's a tutorial while also introducing his character at the same time. I like how the theme was used with the actions of the player character, having been turned into a ghost that's quite fun and having the draining resource of the ectoplasm.
While I like that you have included a couple of different enemies and an increasing difficulty, I wish that the quota increased every round instead and for the enemies to have more attacks like they could also shoot things at you maybe?
The controls are decent but imo i think it would be nice to have the shooting based on the direction of the character and just mapped to one button for easier use and also because sometimes I pressed the wrong button haha. Another way could be based on mouse rotation for more freedom in the direction of fire.
the sprite work is pretty nice and that's there's different ones per enemy type.
However there seems to be an issue where even though I got to the goal in the time limit, it still counted it as a game over, and didn't record my stats at the end and it was all set to 0.
Nice Job overall though! : )
Ok, I had a blast playing this. I enjoyed the arrow keys being the direction you shoot and the music was awesome. Nice job.
Cool game! I am definitely a fan of the narrative. I wasn't expecting the game to shift to another different game. Good job!
Really enjoyed the intro, this game has some charming writing!
I like the interpretation of the theme, your health being a quota is really clever. I also adore the idea of having a larger level that you gradually get to explore more of the stronger you get.
I did notice some issues though. Since the quota scales with your maximum ectoplasm (or at least that's how I think it might work) it could simply get too hard really quick. This behaviour also punishes people who might want to take risks and get a lot of ectoplasm early on. I also often lost way more ectoplasm than I was supposed to, which made it a little hard to get further into the game.
There is definitely potential here and I love the ideas. Keep it up!
I wanted to try playing, but after downloading it and opening the game, I get the message "Windows protected your PC." It's probably a problem with my PC.
I am really impressed with the intro sequence and scope! Making a whole system to establish the setting is real cool, especially since it was interactive! That was definitely my favorite part.
While the main game and art is pretty simple, it is a neat concept. I like the interpretation of "cost" being your soul. I think the gameplay got a bit repetitive though, and I could rarely afford the upgrades passed the first couple quotas. Maybe that's because I couldn't get through the glass. Wasn't sure why it kept coming back.
That being said the premise is nice and having the whole tutorial bumps it up for me!
