The idea is really cool, and I love the graphics end animations! Great job!
Super fun, loved every minute of it! One thing I'd suggest is removing the delay on the tooltip (or at least shortening it), as I also had a hard determining what the items were for (and also what the dice faces were for equipping dice). Extremely fun though, nice job on your first submission, hope to see more!
Really interesting idea and I loved the graphics for the 3d part, the SFX are totally on point too. Really solid work, great job :)
Thanks, I suppose you mean the graphics during the gameplay? Everything is 2D in the game x)
I feel like I'm missing something as the first dude gets 2000+ points each game, and I couldn't match that. My bounty became negative money. I like the sounds and the feel of the game, though.
I suppose a negative bounty means you're the one paying people to catch you xD
Sounds like you had quite an unlucky run, or maybe did you keep getting that "~NO POINTS!" screen? Either way, let me know if you want to reset your save, I could show you how. (or help clarify the rules if needed)
I just wasn’t getting triple dice like he was. So I’d have like 1600 points but could match him getting three ones 2 hands in a row
Cool idea, I enjoy dice rollers and like the idea of banking dice with the risk/greed mechanic! I couldn't tell what the buttons on the left were for but had a good time rolling the dice :D
Those are consumable items, you get a little description of what they do when you hover your cursor on them
Great art! The game mechanics are easy to learn and addictive to play! Also, the cover art is amazing! Good job.
Cool game once you figure out what to do! Good job.
Fantastic game! It's really fun and addictive. A really creative take on the theme.
Loved how the art and music tie all in together really smoothly. Great job!
This was super cool. The game felt very polished. Great game :)
This game is so much fun! It reminds me of Yahtzee but it's quite distinct and enjoyable! I found it quite punishing haha very good though. I encountered some bugs around the use of the extra bullet. once it even soft locked me and I had to quit and restart. most of the time I simply wouldn't get the extra die.
I had a great time overall! Very good game well done you two!
I had a lot of fun with this. I used the fool's dice a lot when I got them, though you lose the tension of busting when you play with those. The spike between Muddy Harry and The Hang Man felt sharp, but that may be because the latter kept getting triple ones.
Also, I'm not sure why I couldn't progress sometimes - I assumed it was because my wanted level wasn't high enough, but I didn't see where that limit was. I may have missed it or the explanation.
Despite those things, I really like it and probably spent the most time playing this. Nicely done, especially with just two people!
We appreciate you spending so much time with our submission, it's a big compliment.
I agree with you, it would've been more intuitive to have the actual range needed for progression, rather than some mystery number that doesn't mean much to the player.
The Fool and The Hangman were late addition to the project (they were finished about an hour before the deadline), so they didn't get the same amount of time to get balanced well. This has already been fixed, we are just waiting for the voting period to be over to upload our latest build.
Nice, glad you're still working on it! And I like both characters, just my observations on my playthrough. It's cool that you have the different dice sets, it adds so much to the game.
Beautiful presentation and very satisfying sound effects :) Overall, really great experience! I read the tutorial and was completely confused, then after maybe 2 rolls I completely got it. Adding some visuals to the tutorial would help a lot if you're looking for ways to improve it. And I could definitely see myself playing more of this. Awesome job!
Really fun! I liked the dice game mechanics, and could see myself spending a lot of time playing this game. One small suggestion, I found the actions being called "Roll" and "Fold" to be a bit confusing — I thought I would be rolling the dice I selected (but you actually roll the remaining dice), and I thought folding would mean giving up (in a bad way). Really great job, I'll be back to play again!
Really fun game! I loved the sound effects, it was satisfying to see the number go up when you got a good roll. I felt like choosing dice to bank rather than choosing dice to reroll was a bit unintuitive for me but other than that, the game was great. At one point I got triple 1's for a 1000 bonus, that felt really good haha. Good job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
For the dice picking logic: we noticed too late into development that it would feel much better the other way around (and would take less words to explain). If we ever revisit the idea it would 100% be that way. (wp on that triple 1s)
Everything feels so nice. Also the gameplay was quick to learn. Will definitely play it again later but I really had fun with this one. :)
Good job!
I can't stop playing. That's a great game. Thanks for this.
thx for playing ^^ ... and not stopping, it seems ._.
Fantastic core gameplay loop and ruleset, very well balanced with a great risk/reward factor when tossing up whether to roll or to fold.
Presentation is fantastic too, great art and animation.
This felt really polished! I liked the aesthetic and the sfx. I did feel like the early rounds were too easy almost and I was scoring in the 1000s, and then when I got to the third one their dice just felt like they were cheating and scoring all dice every time. May have been nice if your bounty went up by how much you beat the other people? I felt like I wasted my good scores, but I guess that is true in games like belatro too. Really nice work over all!
One note with the tutorial. It was a lot of text. I think I would have preferred getting things explained as I was playing. I also thought it was pretty intuitive, though I was confused why the button was called roll, and I thought that meant I was going to roll the dice I clicked on, but it meant roll the dice I am not clicking on. Which I figured out after the first time I tried.
Thx very much for the feedback, much appreciated^^
Crazy thing is, just about an hour after submission I thought about the idea of scaling the bounty reward/penality depending on how big the gap is between the scores, but alas, it is too late -_-' It's like I had to take a step back to see the gap between the gameplay systems.
Hint for those looking for the secret ending: Try losing a lot or reputation.
