The retro theme was an interesting choice.  The AI was interesting, and being able to see into it was neat, but it felt more like a tech demo than a game. But that may be because I don't like Connect-4 as a game. I enjoyed your music selection.

When it said Hard it wasn't lying! I got it in the end though. I'm impressed with the AI, really good work!

I loved the AI inspector. I was impressed by the AI itself. Well done!

I froze for a split second when the screen first loaded, but classic Connect 4 is always a blast. The way the AI logic is displayed and compared is especially interesting, and it really makes me curious about how the Agent mode would perform. Great track choice for the music too! Solid work!

love the TUI look and AI transparency

Gotcha ya stupid clanker. Thanks for bringing me back to my childhood to flex skills I honed apparently only for this moment. Nice art style too, I like it!

Fun game I like the simplicity of the art style. Always love a good connect 4 match!

I was immediately shocked by the intelligence of the AI haha. You did a great job at making it play well against a player. I am sure that alone was a lot of time and work, very well done. The music is nice too for the style of game, very relaxing.

I love this game. Won pretty easily on normal, than got humbled on hard difficulty. I like the programmer art style. It's done very intelligently. Great job!

The nostalgia hit me in the face with a baseball bat. This was so chill to play. The visuals were like a time machine for my brain. Paired with the music there is really nothing I could ask for any further. I enjoyed playing through this so so much.

i think you had a cool idea here although to me it felt less like imagining something new around a theme and more like testing out a cool ai idea you had anyways, which is a totally legit use of a jam

Can't beat a classic, nice to play this one again but digitally.  Music choice was perfecto!

Your game was quite simple, but also really enjoyable! I’m very pleased that I actually managed to win.

It reminded me of those word puzzle games you play in cmd, which made it feel very charming and fun. Congratulations!

I'm not a fan of Connect 4 (not marking based on that) but interesting and effective execution of the game. Glad I passed by.

The simplest of games, but well executed, especially graphically. I suck at any sort of UI and have resorted to console style apps for A LOT of my smaller projects so seeing this here was very cool.

Won against medium and lost against hard, even though apparently basic connect4 is solved and should result in the start player always winning. Guess I suck at it !

Awesome entry. Kept me for long time.

I agree with one of the commentators - I also searched for the option to turn on AI vs AI mode :) - it would be cool to implement this (it can also work like some kind of a tutorial!)

Damn, the hard level is… hard! =D

Good game!

I really like the simple graphics, but at the same time, the complexity in the simplicity. I am a sucker for the music. It would have been nice for some sfx for the chip drop, but at the same time, I was okay without that because there was something about the music that for me, provided a deeper connection with the game's written explanation. It was an interesting design choice to have the AI thought process as a viewable element. It was also very thoughtful to have the game made to be played with two people (which in itself is a connection) and the ability to switch to play against the AI.

It would be interesting in real time to see the thought process of agent versus agent in this game environment / scenario. Or if you can assign a personality type to an Agent or the Agent designs it's own personality based on whatever parameters or data it had been trained on/with.
