Nice game! I wish there was more diffrentiation between the floor and background, it was kinda hard to discern, and I don't know if the background music was intentionally positional but it was very hard to listen to. It is a very nice idea for a game, good work.
This was the first time I used music and sounds in godot so no it was not intentional so that is something I will keep in mind for next time! Thanks for the feed back and thanks for playing!
Pretty cool game! especially under such a low time !!
Really liked the concept of rotating the whole level
I appreciate that! Thanks for playing and im glad you enjoyed!
Cool creativ idea
Thanks! Im glad you enjoyed and thank you for playing!
For something made on such a time crunch (and for a first game, at that), I thought this was pretty good! I think the tiles could use a bit more contrast in color/texture, and the delay on spinning a second time in mid-air did make a couple spots tricky. Save for that, I think I would have enjoyed even more of this with more levels/polish if you'd had the time. Good job!
Thanks for playing and im glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed playing! I liked the spin-to-control-gravity mechanic, and had fun figuring out how to get to the end safely. There were a few times I wished I had a turn-180-degrees button (do two turns at once), so it might be nice to add that if you're able to keep working on the game. Well done!
Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!
Nice game. The game loop is consistent and the core mechanic is nice and right on the spot for the theme. Nice art for the character. I would sugest only to make the background in the same style as the character, and with different collors than other objects, like the walls. other than that, very nice for a first time. Well done!
I appreciate the feedback! I actually reworked the wall art like 4 times lol, thanks for playing and im glad you enjoyed!
While the main mechanic is good, it is very simple and not very original/creative. Having to read the game desc. to figure out the controls was also jarring. Audio is only saxophone. If you had more time to add a story and quick tutorial this probably would have been a great game to kill time.
Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!
Main mechanic is interesting, having the background be the same color as the foreground but with more detail is rough for visibility. It sounded like the music was in the space rather than being background music, like it faded away and was in different ears based on where you were spatially. Level design was relatively interesting too, with some more polish this could be pretty hype!
Dang, I thought I fixed that audio issue, I am considering making a full game, but we shall see. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!
The level rotation feels great. There’s some real skill expression to it, and with more levels, this could become a great speedrunning game. On stage 5, I couldn’t interact with the door. I don’t know if it’s a bug or the end of the game, but if it’s the end, it might be nice to have a little end screen. I love the main character design, it really gives me Spelunky vibes.
Thanks! Im glad you enjoyed! Level 5 is the last stage i just didnt think anything of it to add like a "You Win" after it but I am keeping that in mind for future games and jams! Thanks for playing!
Really nice concept and execution. It could be more interesting, if you can't move and you only progress with the rotation, but overall nice gam! (I don't like the music tho)
I was thinking of doing only rotation but decided last minute to keep the left and right movement. Sorry about the music, i wanna keep all my stuff original but i beat myself up over music all the time because I am a musician so the fact that I get criticism about my music every time drives me nuts lol, I cannot write for the life of me. Thanks for playing and im glad you enjoyed!
I really love the concept of rotating the whole map to navigate. It's creative and it adheres to the theme. I enjoyed the game overall. Right now, there's a bug on the game as mentioned by the previous comment where I can't press F on the last stage. I needed to get to the win condition to get fully satisfied.
In terms of visuals and audio, I think it needs improvement. There's no visual or audio feedback when I got hurt or die. Adding more game juice would really improve this game a lot. Also, try making the music longer or add variation for each level, I don't know what brass instrument you added but it gets a little uncomfortable to listen to it as time goes by.
Overall, I really enjoyed this game. Congratulations! Good job!
Thanks for the feedback! Im glad you enjoyed the game. There should have been a death animation when you die, its very very basic but I was trying to get the main gameplay loop done first. For the music, that is actually a saxophone lol, and my original plan was to have different music that amps up as the game goes on/per level but I just ran out of time. Thanks for playing!
It reminded me of VVVVVV! I really enjoyed playing it, but from a certain stage onwards, pressing the 'F' key at the exit didn't do anything, so I couldn't progress. Is that the final stage?
Im glad you enjoyed playing it, yes that is the final stage, tbh I didn't really think of adding a "You Win" ending screen but ill keep that in mind for my next games. Thanks for playing!
