Really satisfying and fun game to play, ended playing it for a solid while (that's rare). Very serious too.
Fun endless game. I liked all the powerups you can collect, and the feeling when using them. I feel like there should be some more enemy types for later in the run. Great job!
Nice game, loved the music! I was wondering if there is any reason not to keep spamming the lollipop, but I didn't find any, so I guess maybe you could add some cooldown or just have a powerup to rotate it automatically. Great idea to be able to skip the spinning, first I thought "why would I do that", but then I became quite OP in a few levels, and then the powerups were coming in pretty quickly. 😁 Well done!
Nice game, you can become pretty op, but at that point all the fast spinning started to hurt my eyes a bit, and the enemies couldn't even really spawn in, so i stopped playing because of that. Overall a solid little survival game, with many great feelings of getting stronger and stronger.
Really nice game! Nice visuals, audio and feeling!
I felt a bit lost sometimes because I didn't know what exactly my stats were and what some upgrades would change exactly, but I just let myself be surprised by this.
Very fun game, and a good job! Keep it up!
Loved the game, anything similar to VS is a win in my book! I would've liked seeing more enemy types? Even if they were the same but different colors would've added to the experience. other than that, great job!
A nice VS experience + random power ups from the spinning wheel.
I played for quite a while and had a lot of fun. I really liked the way it feels like a mix of Brotato and Vampire Survivors. Maybe having an auto-attack option (if you haven't tried that already) could improve the experience, since you're almost always holding down the attack button anyway. Other than that, the game is really fun. Great job!
I liked the XP bar, the spawn animation and the "weapon" sprite :D
But losing health felt very punishing, because you couldn't telegraph enemy hits very well and I didn't see any healing options in my shop, so damage was permanent and I died quickly.
Very fun and addictive gameloop!
Really enjoyed this game! Got my lollipop very big and it was spinning very fast. I ended up dying on wave 10, after taking an upgrade that reduced my health and proceeding to get attacked by a printer while picking up XP. Great game!
Great job!
A cool Very Serious Vampire Survivor like!
Good idea to purpose to skip the bonus wheel
It's missing some audio/visual feedback when you get hit.
A
sillyserious little game! I quite enjoyed the different sorts of builds you could go for with each stat, but found that it was almost always the best idea to go for a high spin speed, high range build with the item that scales damage to walk speed. There are some areas of the game that lack a bit of polish - a lack of hit noise when the player gets hit makes it difficult to tell when you've been hit (given that the player's health decreases quite gradually). The game doesn't really scale in difficulty past the first few rounds, and it becomes almost impossible to lose unless you intentionally do so.
Overall still a good time and certainly something you can build upon down the line!
Very serious and a good time! I got that lollipop spinning so fast!
Juniper's way of facing monsters with a paint palette is so serious. Really fun game! :D
I enjoyed this masterpiece , the artstyle is amazing and i liked the music and the satisfying sound effects , kinda wish there there were effects on getting hit since it's a bit non noticeable but other than that the game is good
you should keep developping it after the jam it's pretty cool

This is genuinly the best game Ive played in the whole jam. If yu dont continue development when the jam ends you are just insane. It it soooooo much fun, the art is great, the music, its really polished everything is soooo good. I just have one complaint , the waves are really slow, I wouldve played this game soo much longer but it just feels really slow and tiring to go to even wave 8.
this is such a charming game and including juniperdev as the protagonist is a cute touch. i love that you included a roulette feature to randomize the player's upgrades when they level up, but i also appreciate the shop screen that lets players customize their build! as other people mentioned, feedback on things like taking damage or buying items would really tie this game together :) amazing work!!
A nicely crafted game.
I would have liked to have seen some feedback when the player is hit (I didn't realise I was losing health).
Also when selecting upgrades some feedback would be good too. I didn't realize I was spending my tasty candy until I ran out :'(
That being said, there was a good amount of content for a Game Jam game.
I liked this one.
