This was fun! The Beyblade idea is really cool, and I liked the boss rush like structure. Nice job!
This is so gosh dang good the art, music, and the game was so much fun.
Yay!! I won.
Man, the art in this game is so good looking!!
i really wish there was a downloadable file for this one
This was a well done adaptation of the bayblade games. Great visuals art artwork. I see a lot of systems that I'm sure took a lot of effort to make. Great work!
Tutorials suck to make, man...
Thanks for doing it well
Amazing game!! The art was stunning, the story was super funny and the gameplay was simple but super fun, loved that every character had their own little mechanics and that it felt balanced in a way that made you feel like you were never winning by too much yet never getting destroyed either ^_^
I really loved the silly delusional MC!!
I added a mechanic that slowly restores health when you are below 20% hp after some playtesting. It really helped with the feeling of almost dying but not quite. Goes to show how important playtesting your games is!
Glad you liked the MC! You have to thank the writter for her design. I drew her and her sister after he gave me the script for the game. He also was the one who pushed to have 2 sprites per character instead of one.
Great use of theme, fun concept, fun dynamics and a great tutorial really well communicated. I had a blast.
Damn for profile pic goes GIGA HARD!
And thank you for noticing the extra work on the tutorial! I've found that players learn best by going through the motions during a tutorial, after seeing people play I can say it was worth the extra time.
Yeah, I am taking notes. My own tutorial is very lacking. Looking forward to your future projects.
Nice and pretty game. I really liked tutorial (kinda off thing to say, but it was really well made and the visuals were perfect, it could be a bit more creative in my opinion, but ofcourse it fitted the theme perfectly so no complains there. I also loved the music and the sound. Hope you expand a bit on it, I think it has a lot of potential!
The initial idea was to make the tutorial a fight against your grandpa but I had to cut it. Only one week after all. I needed to add a system for dialogues during combat and I didn't see myself doing it quickly.
Post-jam version will have it though!
Incredible game, it kept me engaged till the last fight and kept me wanting for more, personally i'm not a fan of having a lot of story to read, but i think that for fans of that style of gaming its even cooler, great job guys!
great game, this game was so fun!, i loved launching around the beyblade and all of the stories in this game, great job!
All i can say is that this was peak, everythiing from the actually good writing in the story to the amazingly fitting soundtrack down to the smooth gameplay with all of the extra mechanics such as the pin blocking too. Its just all so good i legit couldnt find any issues with this, practically perfect all around, love all the art too it looks great! Very very good job!
I really, really love the art and visuals. It was a truly enjoyable game!
Honestly, polish it a little bit more, add more enemies and maybe skills, and I could see it on steam!
Had so much fucking fun, this is one of those games that I regret having more ratings than, because this was an absolute blast to play through and I feel like this is the game people should have played. So many cool design choices like the regeneration on low health to make scraping by on low health more likely, the amount of choices that stem from the enemy design and the basic moves that the player has despite using only two buttons and the spin up which really immerses you in the experience. It's hard for me to even leave any glaring points for improvement.
Glad you appreciated the design decisions for the game. They tend to go unnoticed! The health regen was added after playtest with friends, such a good addition. I'm saving your game to play it later, I'm a super big fan of Jet Lancer and it looks like it has similar gameplay!
Awesome, I knew there was going to be a well-executed, fun Beyblade game. The polish is superb, well done!
Hell yeah! I was lucky enough to have some time at the end to polish and balance. Imo the most important part of a videogame!
Besides too chatty... 10/10 game, damn the game is really fun. The moment i found that the nail can be use as an obstacle. it opens up the gameplay so much!
One of the things I have to work on ye... We already removed some text from the intro and tutorial but it's still a bit too much. Thank you for playing!
Absolutely loved every second of it. Great game and awesome artstyle!
I had so much fun drawing the characters and images for the intro and outtro. Super inspired by Trigger and Kill la Kill. If you like the arstyle I recommend them.
Amazing work! The story was great and the boss fights felt unique. Performance felt a bit choppy sometimes but this was super fun!
The choppyness comes from the hitstops when the beys collide iwth the map or with eachother. Some people are having this reaction, maybe I should turn it down a bit. Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you liked the game!
Oh that makes sense. I considered adding hitstop for my game, but I think that effect only works for big heavy weapons like great swords in Monster Hunter. On small, fast spinning tops it just reads as performance issues lol.
From one Beyblade lover to another, well done! <3
I really enjoyed the art style and setting.
A fun story with some engaging gameplay, very good.
Holy moly this is amazing!
