Cool, game! It was really tricky though! With a bit more polish, this could be even better. Good luck!

I love the idea and had fun playing it! There was one time I lost because I kept getting that red segment, but I found that hilarious!
if you were to expand on this,
you could maybe solve the red slice being annoying by making it optional in the shop and having tiles that get a red slice adjacency buff
cool game!
I liked the idea, luckily i got through the first level :D
There are segments that give you a letter for free, but doesn't give you all of it's appearances, so it tricked me in one of the rounds. Maybe that should be improved, and some polishing
I am sure the other levels are just as fun as the first one, because I don't think I will ever get to them haha! Loved the concept and the way it was implemented. I always sucked at hangman, but the red quadrant messed me up real good. Great job though, I wish I would've done better so I could explore more levels!
SO sorry about that first level. Honestly I myself pass it once in 5 6 attempts because of that red segment.
I should've made the first rounds easier but in this case, the more you proceed the easier it gets because you get a shop with various segments to add to the wheel like "Open a vowel" or open a letter in range from A-J, or open the first letter and so on.
Thank you for playing and reviewing!
Nice twist to hangman! A little difficult with the red segment, I'm thinking maybe just buff up the blue segment to even it out? Or even adding a green segment that narrows down the choice of words to pick from? Unless it's already part of the shop which i couldn't get to maybe cause i failed to guess any words lol. Overall the game is nicely packaged with the UI (it's nice and clean) and well implemented!
Holy Moly.. I am very unlucky.. I got the red part like 4 times in a row for one of my runs.. Keep making games I had fun :)
Hangman is really close to my heart. It was the first minigame I tried recreating in Python (that you would play in the terminal, so print only). Love your idea of putting a spin into it (lol). But the wheel holder not being centered is driving me nuts. Whenever you have the time, please fix it.
On the 'other hand', I for one agree with the red slice, but only if maybe if you gave more tries from the start, rather than 5 or 6. There are for sure things you could add to the drawing that would slow down the 'hanging'.
Great game and good job!
Thank you so much for playing rating and reviewing the game!
I was struggling with the wheel center myself. It is just that they are not sprites or images, it is dynamically being drawn inside Godot engine through its _draw() function. I have to think through of math to calculate the correct center.
I also agree with making more lives for the hangman as I myself barely pass level 1 lol
Thank you so much for the review! I would definitely keep working on this one to make this a full game.
Adding randomization to hangman is a good idea, nice simple game loop i like the roguelike elements! 1 thing i dont like is the red slice, i think it is anti fun. and brings nothing but negativity, i feel like it should maybe give a debuff or penalty rather than just -1 attempt you know?
Interesting take, but that red really hated me one run, I got one guess then straight reds. Maybe a little more slices to make it a little easier? Still, it's a nice simple game, I can appreciate that. Looked nice and seemed well put together.
I think it's a great idea to incorporate a wheel and upgrades in hangman! But I do feel like its a little evil to just remove a guess to the player, since it makes you feel out of control and you can just lose randomly because you spun bad! Maybe the wheel could be used to earn some bonus gold or something at the end of the round? And the wheel would be better/worse depending on how many guesses you used? either way, fun idea!
Thanks for playing and reviewing!
I was just running out of time, I wanted to implement much more like characters with different boosts for the start and passive perks but decided just to finish one polished mechanic rather than 3 unfinished ones.
Will definitely work to expand this game for a full game.
Hangman is a classic, and even though this version is really hard, it adds difficulty in a nice on-theme fashion. Well-polished and fun. Good work!
Well polished take on a classic! Found it a bit difficult to get past the first round, with how there's no way to influence the wheel spin. Still had a good time with it though!
Very cool, I was playing hangman at my school, this made me so nostalgic..
Really good idea, something that could easily turn into a rouguelike or sometime similar lol. It was very difficult to get through the first word because it kept giving me the red segement :(
Its a fun idea and I liked the game. A little work on the game and visuals could help.
Thank you so much for the feedback and playing the game.
I initially thought of adding some passive items at the beginning and after each round before the shop, but ran out of time and it would have been a big part on the coding so decided to provide a clean version rather than a half working one.
Thank you for the review again! I plan to work on this game to add a story and make it a full game maybe even for steam if I can have that much time.
This is a pretty neat twist on hangman. But having a chance to just lose a turn and add a piece to the hangman feels really unfair, especially when it's a 1/4 chance right out of the gate. I managed to get to round two and add a segment to my wheel so it was reduced to a 1/5 chance, but I managed to roll it twice in a row. I think having a negative ability on the wheel is a good idea, but it shouldn't be something that severe that early - let that be something that can appear in later rounds.
I also think it'd be helpful to have a visual indicator for how many body parts are left for drawing the hangman. You could also consider adding each arm and leg individually instead of at the same time to add more body parts to the hangman counter and therefore give the player more chances to guess the word.
Adding some additional options on the wheel could be fun - maybe each segment on the wheel has a different selection of consonants with one or two segments to get a vowel (including Y). But yeah, I'm interested to see if you choose to do more with this!
