That short music loop really did a number on my sanity! ^_^

I felt the upgrades was a bit to strong and that it would have been fun if there was more of them and also more coins later in the level to collect, but it was satisfying enough to keep me going 50+ times until I managed to hit the portal. So nice job!

this game was surprisingly satisfying and was fun, progressing through the upgrades felt very good and once I figured out how to reset and farm coins it was a bit better, but adding coins past the initial starting zone would go a long way I think in improving the execution. But there is serious potential here and for a game jam entry this was great! Well done!

i thought this was really cute and satisfying to play!! i think there could be more mushrooms and more coins throughout the flying progression, because once i'd spammed all my abilities and was mostly in the air there was nothing for me to do in the game. i also was unsure of how to control my movement once i was up in the air, so i couldn't exactly get to the target, but went far beyond!!

What a silly game, I like the learn to fly vibes that another commenter mentioned. I should know I am a penguin. I wish I had a little more control in the sky and that there was a bit more visuals in the sky so I can tell how fast I was going visually. Other than that its a good game!

That was a cute game! I love the concept and style, though I feel like the implementation could've used some improvement. I didn't like how you need to use mushrooms to reach the portal but landing on one is rng.

Had a lot of fun! I love the old pre-rendered art style a lot! Upgrading is super satisfying, and I loved using the flap mechanic! I think more coins could be scattered throughout the level. Also, the fireplace reference got a laugh out of me lol. Great Job!

I really enjoy these kinds of game. This reminds me a lot of Penguin Learns to Fly. A couple of suggestions:

* make the mushrooms spring the player, regardless of their y velocity. The mushrooms don't detect the player and you hit the ground and reset.

* after the player hits the ground, allow the player to bounce along the ground and only reset after coming to a complete stop.

* the coins should be scattered throughout the level, not just at the beginning. This means the player could use a Flap to try and collect the coin

I liked the aesthetic and I do quite like the progression! Very cute and satisfying to launch into the stratosphere

I had a fun time! Loved the upgrades and how instant it was to feel a difference when you got them. Did notice though that if you were going too fast to the ground that landing on the mushrooms the game wouldn't detect it so you'd just hit the ground. Was a cute little game

This is a good game :) I think the upgrade mechanic is really fun, and it feels good to be able to gradually get farther towards the portal. the models and music are also very nice, really does feel like the vibe of a cheap plastic flying toy that's a few bumps away from dying. however, i think collecting coins to be able to afford upgrades is a bit tedious, since they only spawn at the starting area and you can only get 2 or 3 at a time. Perhaps it could be made a bit easier by having more spread out through the level, just above the floor? Good game regardless, well done!

This was really fun! I especially like the art style, the images of 3d models and the ui aesthetic blend perfectly and are super unique. I do think it could use a bit more player agency, as there aren't many interesting ways to use the flaps, and the camera is zoomed in a way that makes it really hard to react to the ground. Overall though this was great!

The game was quite fun, but even with maxed out stats I actually couldn’t reach the end😢. Many times I felt it would be cool if, instead of resetting when we touch the ground, we could maybe just continue to slide through it until movement totally stops,That way, we could travel much farther when launched 🚀horizontally.

Love the concept and the look of the 3d models. The way the sky changes as you go up was cool

Great hat collection, loved the theme, very serious indeed. If you gain enough momentum during your fall, the mushrooms won't save you from touching the floor. Additionally, if you use all your boosts consecutevly, you will gain a massive speed boost, allowing you to go well beyond the 10,000 target.

when you are maxed out the speed is too high the boxes dont collide you cant jump so to cheese it just relese at 0 degree at full speed and you will win

In this deeply serious high stakes skills based rouge-lite you control the fate of a spinning fairy toy as she attempts to achieve her destiny. Will you spin boldly into the future? or will you crash and burn?

Among the most urgent and inspiring games of our generation, nay, of ever.

Very fun concept and gameplay, extremely cool hats.

I like the style of the game, the gameplay was very fun i managed to go above 100,000m yet i didn't get to the fairy room at one point the controles stoped working but the gameplay was really fun

I really like the style of this game. I did however manage to softlock myself (i think) after the first throw

This is not only the most serious game I have played yet in this jam, but also the only jam I sat there and played until completion, no matter how many times I had my momentum push me into the ground. I love the 3d models and the design of the game so much, like it's so whimsical and joyful *cough* I mean, Serious.

The only thing I'd suggest is improving the UI for the flaps I have and what I have remaining, as well as a UI showing how many miles I am at and how many I have left to go. You could even do a minimap of the world to show when the mushrooms start disappearing if you feel fancy.

Anywho, super fun and engaging game with a really unique theme!!

Here's my game because Itch refuses to put it there automatically lol

Thanks so much for the nice comment! I didn't have the time originally to add the flaps/distance to the ui but I managed to put them together in the 24h fixing time. So hopefully that'll be clearer for future players. Glad you enjoyed it :>
