I love the fez-ness this is so mindblowing! Sometimes I would stop and just WASD a bunch to admire the level design and cool 3D map! And not only is this a super cool idea but all the animations and effects make this so so polished and fun to play. Small things, but I love the overshoot when you go between tiles and the dither fade! They are super clean and polished. The undo mechanic is super cool too, well-done on that! And really fun brain-tickling puzzles!

Developer

Thank you so much!! I spent a long time polishing and trying to make it feel nice, I'm glad it paid off and that you liked it :D

Really clean puzzle design! I think having the different sides be a unique color, also reflected in the 3D visual, could help with keeping up with the orientation a bit better. Although, maybe that would also take away from part of the puzzling. I had fun working through all the levels!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! Having each side be a different color was something I briefly considered, but part of the reason I went with the black and white color scheme was cause my brain always just draws a blank when it comes to visuals 😭 so in an effort to not overcomplicate it for myself and stick to something I knew looked nice, I just stuck with the different levels of lighting + the dithering. Maybe something I'll look into if I continue working on the game!

I loved the mechanic to solve these sokoban puzzles! It's definitely very creative! And I enjoyed its simple pixel art graphics. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it!

love the graphics, the spinning mechanic is very clever

Developer

Thank you!!

This game is really great,I hopr it wins, the mechanic is hard to understand but I got it,you spin the 3d thing in the right corner and a 2d imagine shows,I wonder how you managed to script this masterpice

Developer

Aww thank you so much!! I'm glad it was fun :)

Hey there! Just played your game and I must say this is amazing :D. The puzzle design is so good and I still don't understand how the actual mechanic works😅, kinda just trial and errored my way through the levels but it is super cool. The art is also really simplistic and nice and I think it fits the tone of the game, and I do appreciate the tutorial and the gizmos on the top left. I don't have any real critique for this game because this is prob the game I've spent the longest for this game jam because it was super fun to play. The only thing I'd probably say is you should maybe prompt the user to undo their action when they die or automatically respawn them because I restarted the game when I died the first time😅

Other than that, it's a great game jam entry so good job :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! Yeah, I considered making some sort of prompt to show when the player died, but ultimately decided what I had was okay for a jam hahaha. Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Fair enough! I'd say it was alright as well for a jam

I somehow completed all the levels, including the secret ones, even though I had absolutely no idea what I was doing lol. The pixely style fits the puzzles very well, and the game is very polished. I can't even fathom how to code something like this, let alone even design the puzzles, insane job, definitely one of my favorites of this jam :D

Developer(+1)

Aw thank you! I'm glad you had fun :D

Submitted(+1)

Love the idea, and love the visuals ! But I'm not sure if they work well together, I find it difficult to get the layout of the levels with the dithering effect. I would love to see more of this though !

Developer

Hahaha yeah the black and white + dithering were chosen deliberately as a crutch for me because this was my first game jam solo and I have no eye for visuals whatsoever 😅 so I agree that it has issues, and I would definitely bring someone else on to help with the art if I continued working on it. I'm glad you liked it though! Thanks :)

I'm not a puzzles guy so I got confused at times, but this was genuinely very fun! I loved the simple visuals, the audio was punchy and satisfying, and I loved that little music track that plays from time to time.  and at first I was a little surprised  you can peek to the sides, but then you gave the whole 3d view and that blew me away lol

overall very polished and fun game, I got to the secret levels but had to stop there cause my brain was fried haha amazing job

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you had fun despite it frying your brain hahaha :D

I really enjoyed this idea. I think you executed it very well too, with smart puzzle designs and a good feel to everything but I can't help but wonder if the visual and positional clarity could be improved though I acknowledge you did a lot with the 3d glyph-map and allowing for freecam. I kept getting confused about where I was so I ended up brute forcing a lot of solutions. Maybe color coding the cardinal directions might help? Overall though really well made and a coherent vision.

As a fellow puzzle designer I commend you!

Developer

Thank you so much! Yeah, a lot of thought went into providing clear feedback and giving you lots of tools to help better understand where you are, but it could definitely still use improvement. Color coding was something I thought of and would have loved to do, but the dither shader I used for the project forced everything down to just two colors 😅 thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

That's an interesting take on Sokoban with the spin mechanic, as a puzzle game lover I approve.

Thanks! Glad you liked it :)

I LOVED IT!!!! Holy sh*t this is sick!!!! Thank you for making this game!!!!!! Definitely one of my favorites

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you had fun with it :)

Great work, and you even got the disaster peace vibe going! Great work on everything, the look, the mechanics, the motion, the puzzles. Very impressive!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yep, Disasterpeace is exactly what I was going for with the music. If I continue to work on the game I'll do something more in my own style, but it was fun to experiment with for a jam :) Glad you had fun!!

Submitted(+1)

Really smart puzzle game, I was quite proud I managed to find (and beat) the secret levels too! (We'll just ignore the few that I completed purely by accident... >.>) The movement was super juicy and I loved how complex the levels got despite it always being just one box and one hole - I only wish there was some kind of background music, but this was an excellent showing overall!

Developer(+1)

Oh no, there's supposed to be background music! It does fade in after a randomized amount of time (I think I made it between 60 seconds to 3 minutes?) then that timer runs again each time the music ends. I guess it's possible it didn't load correctly or something, hahaha. Thanks for playing nonetheless!!

i lobster it :)

Ah, the coveted lobster trophy! How flattered I am to receive an award of such prestige.

A really great puzzle game, really interesting mechanics. Made me rage at points but thats my own fault lol. Great Game!

What an excellent puzzle game, it really burn my brain! You’ve created an incredible visual style by using very simple elements. Everything feels so fluid and polished. Well done !!

the animations are so fluid and mixed with the sound effects they are so peak

combining these 2 amazing mechanics really makes the game so peak

it's a very clean polished game , glad to play it and huge W's for you for making smth like that.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you liked it :D

Quite a way to reimagine Fez's mechanic that originally spinned the whole level! I'm terrible at puzzles game but the puzzle design exploits the game mechanic quite well. Overall, incredible job!

Developer

Thanks! Puzzle design was definitely the most difficult part, almost every puzzle went through a few iterations based on playtester feedback. And yeah, the Fez concept works surprisingly well when applied to a Sokoban game! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Submitted(+1)

REALLY fun and creative game, spent a bit of time on it and wasn't bored at all!

The music and sound effects were very nice and fitting in the game and the rotating is really cool. I'm glad you added an option to make the 3d viewing clearer when in free cam too. One of the coolest games I played this jam :)

I got stuck on the last level for no reason at all the solution was really simple but I wasn't able to find it for a long time 😭😭

Developer

Thank you!! I'm glad you had fun!
