This is so far my favourite game I have played during this jam! Very impressive. Love the style and vibes so much.

Wow, just wow. Really impressed especially as you are recent graduates! Amazing work all, this could go straight onto Steam, no notes! Played this on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/nebsterlive

Developer(+1)

Thank so much for playing and enjoying our game! We were all eagerly watching the stream and think you are lovely :D Will reach out as we continue to develop Ser Curity!!

Yall are deplorable for playing my stank ass rank butt game (derogatory) , you should be playing this game, it's so well polished, well rounded, laughed while playing, cured my cancer, loved it!

Developer(+1)

nuh uh you're stank ass rank butt game (not actually) is sick, i love the artstyle, even checked ur steam store for your game and WILL be buying it tomorrow (pay day), thanks for for streaming it :)

Submitted(+1)

One of my favorites! Needs more love

Developer

Thank you so much! :))

Submitted(+2)

Extremely well made! Very close to perfect. Good job! Having to pick up the paper to stamp, though... shame! SHAME!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for taking the time to play our game! Don't worry, we're working on it ;)

Developer(+1)

shame on me :( that was my fault, but its been changed already in newer builds, we shall continue to work on it thanks teodor!!! you're awesome sauce

Submitted(+2)

cute! the art/animation was really polished. something felt a little cumbersome about the controls in a way that i had a hard time getting used to (the amount of control you have over rotating the ids was maybe too much?) really nice job though could totally see this going somewhere with a few more mechanics & narrative beats

Developer

thanks jonny :) we do want to keep the ID full rotation as later we'll have some reason to check the back but I've already made it a bit easier and friendly, thanks for the feedback!! appreciate you playing our game

Submitted(+1)

Really cool! I agree with the comment below mine, would've liked some feedback for whether I got someone correct or not. But you have a lot of really cool ways to make decisions between the people, and once I got to those last stages it was really fun to look for reasons I should deny them! Was also happy about the saved settings when quitting the game.

Overall really wish this had more ratings! The art and narrative are all great and the mechanics all work really well together!

Developer(+1)

DUDE thank you :) yeah i overlooked it due to playing it constantly and we didnt really leave ourselves a lot of time for QA but fixing at we speak, im glad you liked it we'll keep working on it 🫡

Submitted(+2)

Awesome to see another Papers Please type game! The art style is so incredible but the game is missing a lot of onboarding and player feedback. I feel like I am kind of bombarded with a whole lot of information at the start when it probably would of been better to ease me into information like the stamps, banned locations, banned careers, etc. It’s very weird that I still don’t know who I got wrong at the end. I really like the plot about the assassin though and reading the new articles. Overall there is some great work here just needs some polishing.

(It also took me quite a bit to learn how to use the stamp. Thank you for including those instructions in the description ;-; )

Developer(+1)

thank you for playing!! and yeah thats on me I was super excited for all the features but we crammed a lot in a 3 day gameloop and didn't make it very apparent :( All of this is now being much improved, especially feedback for letting in bad people, we did have a newspaper system where a bad newspaper = you let too many bad people in but it doesn't convey at all unless you're in the know. BUT thank you for the amazing feedback it helps a ton and ill be improving even more today!!

Submitted(+3)

The art style of the game is good; it definitely deserves an award, but the only thing I see missing is effects and feedback for the player. If any wrong person enters, the player should know about it so he can check more perfectly going forward. Overall for game jam this is an good game.

Developer(+1)

yeah we agree, the feedback we did come up with were the newspapers being bad if you let too many bad people in or good, but they dont really portray that well unfortunately :( thank you for your feedback means a lot and thanks an award would be amazing but we're happy we just released something :)

Submitted(+3)

Parchments Please, love the artstyle

Developer(+2)

Parchments Please is a good title haha, appreciate it, we had some amazing artists (thank god, i cant model to save my life)

was very peak for such a game made in such a short amount of time

Developer

Thanks so much! We worked really hard on it, so super happy you enjoyed :)

Developer

you're very peak thanks jay :)

Wow, this is very professional for a game jam. Very nicely done.

Developer

you're professional for a game jam dude. naw but seriously thank you we appreciate it, the nights were not friendly to us during these 4 days.

Submitted(+4)

nice game ^-^

Submitted(+4)

Cute little "Paper Please" with good puns ! I like the artstyle. I let too much people enter, but the count is saved at last. One thing I wish was having little bit more than just checking their ID

Developer(+1)

THANKS Mwoon!!! we had a ton of artists and they're all the goats! as for the other mechanics we were trying to push for an item checking mechanic with illegal wizardly artifacts but didn't have the time :( should've pulled more all nighters :)

(and dont worry i let a couple murderers slip past too, it happens, i wont tell the count.)

Submitted(+4)

The art style looks very cute and soft! I like this game! Somehow I managed to skip 17 killers. Oops!

Developer(+1)

We had amazing artists, wish i could've contributed but im just the keyboard monkey :( and hey we all have bad days, lets hope you saved the count ;)

Submitted(+1)

I recommend using gifs to decorate your page, it really helps!

(+2)

This game looks so cute! unfortunately the stamp didn't work so I couldn't get past just reading the tutorial stuff. ;-;

Developer(+1)

Sorry to hear :( Did you try to click the ID first? As the stamp only works when inspecting the ID, which we're thinking maybe have been a bad idea, there's a few things that through more testing we've found isn't as apparent as we thought, apologies! We're changing them as we speak for an updated version but of course we can't change the Gamejam version, appreciate the comment too :D

(+1)

Ohhhhh! I might have to try it again then! Yeah I looked at the ID then returned it to the table before trying to use the stamp - that seems more natural to me I guess since I wouldn't want to get hot wax on my hand haha!

Developer

All good :D Appreciate you giving it another look!

(+1)

Finished it (I killed the count!!!)! honestly you don't really need to change how you use the stamp - just need some more feedback if you do it wrong. a little denial sound and maybe a pop up that says the correct way to do it? something like that.

Great work all around! The art is so polished for a game made in 96 hours! You had a ton of artists though so I guess you set yourselves up for success in that regard!

One gameplay note is I would maybe add a timer and a quota with rewards for completing additional people instead of a set number of people to get through if you continue to develop this - I get that it's a lot cozier than something like Papers Please but just those two little changes would invite much more depth mechanically

also special shoutout to the person credited as 'spectator', made me giggle

Developer(+1)

Wooh, I messed up and forgot about the assassin in my last run.

Appreciate the feedback, we're currently implementing a bunch of QoL and fixes and thanks for the ideas we'll be sure to try make it easier!

(+1)

To be honest I don't think it needs to be easier  - just a few parts of it need to be more clear. The assassin needs to have a more specific description though maybe? not sure, the one I got was pretty vague

I even think you could make it harder by adding more rules as you progress but maybe balance that by introducing new rules slower and leaning more into narrative. Best of luck whatever you wind up doing :)

Developer

Exactly, we crammed a lot into the 3 days you have in the game, not very clear when new rules appear too, lots to improve upon! thanks for the amazing feedback.
