Adorable! Fellow seal game here, I had a ton of fun! I loved the double timer mechanic, although the level timer was a bit too long so it felt a bit irrelevant. Finished the whole game and loved it!
Cute seal. Sadly our seal didn't get approve in the last few levels. Wish we have more control of the ball though. Good game ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
5 stars no notes, I fricking love seals
🦭🦭🦭🦭🦭🦭
the art fits together with the game well! i had to play the last level a couple times in order to finish it but it was satisfying to get to the ending. :)
thank you for playing and the compliment! :D hope it wasn't too hard!
Nice idea! Good job on the art and sound effects! Would have loved some kind of juggling effect, where you have to bounce the ball maybe? Otherwise really nice entry!
thanks for playing and the love for the art and sound! :D yes def thought about bouncing the ball, but couldnt really think about tying it in (scope gotta stay small too)
I approve of the seal of approval :)
I would have liked the ball tilting to be slightly clearer, it can be tough to figure out it's off center aside from the trainer screaming at me :(
Overall very fun, has potential so keep it up !
thank u for approving! 🦭 yes i definitely agree w needing more clarity, will work on it post jam!!
A great concept, and the first few levels are quite fun. I also couldn't figure out exactly how to keep the ball balanced, on level 4 or maybe 5 (the one with a hump then bigger ramp at the start) I couldn't consistently get the ball back to balanced after the ramp, even accelerating from a full stop when it leant forwards. I really like the idea of one countdown encouraging you to play fast, and the other making you go slow and carefully.
thank you for playing! :D for the final level, if you move slightly further away from the hill and book it, it works!
yeah i really liked the conflicting countdown ideas too which led me to this
Fun game and cute art style! I felt so compelled to do my best as a seal
thank you! hope you enjoyed being a seal! :D 🦭🦭
What a fun and creative experience! I love the art and uniqueness this game brings! I did struggled on level 3, as I felt I wasn't able to re-balance the ball after going uphill, but besides that, the game was extremely fun! Great work!
thank you for playing! :D u need to go super forward before moving super backwards to ensure the ball tilts back!
A fun seal experience, for sure! Moving back to balance the ball felt intuitive, but sometimes I wasn't entirely sure if it did anything. You could definitely expand on this concept with some more polish if you wanted to, this gets my seal of approval! 🦭👍
thank you for playing n your feedback! :D i definitely thought moving back was intuitive too but i also heard some comments that said otherwise, so thanks for reaffirming my thoughts. i'll work more on it post-jam! 🦭🦭🦭
Brilliant art style and direction. I can't wait to be a seal again
thank you! :D 🦭🦭🦭🦭
A cute and well executed theme. It's hard to know how to reset the trainer's temper, but i kind of understand how the mechanic works in the end. Overall, i enjoyed the game, well done!
thanks for playing and your comment! :D yeah the ball needs to be fully straight so it's "perfect" enough for the trainer. is that what you deduced too?
yes, that is what i figured out.
okay! thank you for letting me know :D
That was lovely aurasakura! It was a bit stressful the third level hahaha but then i got the hang of it anf became the BEST seal 🩷⚽🦭
thanks for playing joviallll! :D glad you enjoyed, best seal award fr
Fun game! I had a bit of trouble understanding the trainer temper, sometimes I'd stop and he'd calm down, while other times I'd stop and still lose, so I wasn't always sure what I had done wrong
Other than that it was a really fun game ! I had a great time playing it
thanks for playing! :D you need to ensure your ball goes straight all the way in order to ensure it's "perfect" enough for the trainer, prolly should make it more obvious in the tutorial
Fun game! I didn't understand how the balancing worked at the start, I kept trying to mve in the direction the ball was falling in to try and stop it. However, standing on a flat bit to make it go back was a bit boring. The art style was very good though!
thank you for playing and feedback (including in discord)! definitely need to work on the overall mechanic :D
Neat idea. I liked the visuals. Agree with the other commenters that there could be a clearer indicator of how exactly the balancing works.
thank you for playing and your comment! will definitely ideate more on that post-jam :D
Cute short platformer, in terms of what could be improved, I think it would be better if there was some active way to maintain the balls balance instead of just getting to a flat platform and waiting, waiting never feels very engaging as a mechanic, it's better if you can give the player something active to do, adding in some more mechanics as the levels progressed would have added interest too if you wanted to make more levels. Having said that the levels in the game were well planned out to be doable and I liked the art, it felt very cohesive!
thank you for playing! if you move backwards, the ball straightens up more quickly. i left this mechanic in, as people mentioned it was a bit hard. thank you for the feedback!
very cute. I wasn't quite sure what was setting off the trainer, though, so there could be more audiovisual feedback there
thanks for playing! it’s stated in the instructions at the start what sets the trainer off
I really liked the music! It def gave off the circus feel.
Unique submission, good job for getting it out ^^
I think having a lil UI element showing how off-balance the ball is could be an extra bit to add, otherwise good job :)
thank you for playing & the feedback! i’ll take them into account!
