Nicely done! It's a beautiful narrative.

I find it amusing how our games are somewhat similar, yet they couldn't be further apart.

We're both building up (counting down) to something in the narrative. I also used the same trash can and soda assets! :)

But I took a very different direction regarding the theme and story. Emphasis on the VERY.

P.S. Ran it on Linux with Proton-GE. Worked without issues.

This is so cute!! Very intuitive gameplay, pleasant atmosphere. You touched me very much ToT

A very sweet thing to do, can't wait until Steele is old enough to play it herself!

As an unrelated aside, I saw you used assets from poly.pizza, which reminded me that I'm subscribed to the dude who built that website!  Did you also follow his devlogs, or just found the site on your own?

Developer

Thank you, the thought of her playing it one day made me mushy inside :)
The site was actually listed on the GMTK Jam site under assets, and I found it there! It was a life saver, I don't really do 3D modeling and I was using this jam to learn Unreal. I don't know anything about whoever creates the site but I'm happy to learn more!

What a cute game, i really liked it! Great take on the theme. Ambience and atmosphere are really really well done. It perfectly communicates the narrative through the gameplay and visuals, without relying on text or vocals. Great job! I wish you and the little one all the best.

What a take on the theme! I absolutely did not expect to have my heartstrings tugged this jam. And congrats to baby Steele, only a few days old and she's already held the record for world's youngest person ;)

Developer

Haha I've never thought about it that way!
She actually just missed the jam deadline (She was a late entry!) But she was on her way when I had to submit.

Oh gosh, this is super sweet. The sound design of the effects was phenomenal, really lovely little experience that nearly had me tearing up at the end there! Was totally expecting a sad story, but ended up pleasantly surprised.

Developer

Aw thank you, glad you liked it

Super adorable, really enjoyed the narrative developing :) Can tell that you put a lot of thought and care into this and it's very emotional.

Super small nit pick is sometimes the world is bright so it's hard to see the red highlight on where you're supposed to put items.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I agree! I used this game to learn Unreal and its lighting system is a beast. I have a lot to learn with that aspect. Thank you for playing!

I really loved this game!! It's so cool to get a game from the perspective of a pregnant woman and when I realised the game was based on reality it genuinely brought me to tears. You put such a creative and touching spin on the countdown theme, and I like how simple and intuitive the game is to play!

I guess my only nitpick was that I wasn't sure what to do in the painting level and I had to check the game page to see the controls but maybe that's just an issue on my part lol. Regardless, you made an amazing narrative experience told without a single word, one that has such a special meaning, so well done!!!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it that you found it so touching!
Re: the painting level, I definitely wanted to add some control hints but ran out of time. It's definitely on the list for another update! Thank you!

A beautiful experience captured really well.  I honestly thought it was going to have a tragic end, like so many other such entries.  But, it instead has a happy ending.  So, congratulations on being unique.

Thank you! It is happy, both in game and real life :)

So sweet and cute it was amazing how much emotion you packed into such a short game.

Wonderfully done piece of visual narrative. I love it when stories are told without words.

Developer

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!

Beautiful narrative game from start to finish! Like the others already mentioned, I too wished for an exit from the credits. Really like the intro scene and that you had some sort of control straight away. *spoiler* Congrats on becoming aunt!

Developer

Thank you!

Enjoyable narrative-driven game! Music felt like it supported the story well and solidified the overall vibe. I enjoyed the painting as a mechanic. Nice interpretation of the theme. Well done!

This was a nice slice of life game. Congrats to baby girl Steele! Couple critiques: I wish there was a way to pause, a way to close the game, and a way to exit once you complete the game. I had to force close the application. Great concept though! This was a pleasant and calming experience.

Developer

Thank you! Totally agree on the esc button, that was a mistake on my part. Thanks for checking it out.
