Nice game.

So the idea is that the prisoner bribes the guards by literally shooting money at them—while cash keeps spilling out of his own pockets the whole time? This game is hilarious.

Very cool!

Really creative and fun to play! Enjoyed everything :)

Fun game! having everything tied to one meter definitely makes you have to think harder, which is fun.

Developer

You'd think only having one number to pay attention to would make things easier

Gulman meets Hotline Miami.

It’s really simple and also conceptually hilarious cause youre like going on what amounts to a murder spree while simultaneously filling your pistol and padding your body with copious amounts of dollar bills It was a little basic I will say, not a bad thing necessarily but it does have a lot of room for polish/improvement

reminded me of old DOS games

Boss jumpscare!! Both your timer, ammo and health being tied to one meter is really cool. Though is it worth it for this guy to escape with $8?? I jest, this is a really cool concept for balancing danger and income (you could avoid the cops, but you'll lose out on some time gain... Pretty clever!)

Um... This is ye olden 1800s

Woo! What a ride. Loved the fast paced action that the core mechanic requires. I figured out that sometimes it was more advantageous to just make a run for it rather than waste ammo/time on killing a guy, which definitely plays into the "speedrunning idea." Nice job, and great marketing ploy with your GTMK Speedrun submission.

Interesting game! I love that you shoot actual money and that is part of the countdown! Great work :)

Have fun trying to get S :D

The police is too op, I am shooting green slime and I get shot back with fireballs??? What is this???

Just joking, I really liked the game, the sound was satisfying and the controls were intuitive.

I think GMTK speedrun is your magnum opus but this is also good...
I was just trying to speed run it and it took me a second to realise killing the cops added time. More levels in the future would be cool and with increased difficulty.

Developer

My goal was to try and make beating the game really tight, but eventually I decided I should make the game more accessible to random people playing it in the jam so it became moderately difficult to beat, and it's rare that I get S rank in a run. I think that if this game has any sort of modern success in the jam, I might clean it up a little, add more content, put it on vcs because I forgot to set that up.

The idea of merging everything into one number, and how it can reward the player for risking time to recoup ammo/money or vice versa, could present some level design opportunities if you keep developing this.

Developer

I only had one enemy in the game, but in the future I'd want to add a sort of "heavy" enemy that poses significant risk and maybe putting it in a level without much so it becomes a decision of get enough time off killing enemies and avoid it or pick a fight for a ton of extra time.

A lot of the level design was drawn out on paper with the idea of "what could pose for an interesting decision". I never had any intended solution to the levels because the main point of speedruning this game is finding your own route you like.

Nice. would make a great game with a little bit more polish. I like opening the door and destroying 5 police at once.

Interesting premise with enjoyable gameplay ! Guards could see me through walls but that was the only real issue I found, great work!

Developer

I was trying to come up with some sort of dumb excuse, but the fact that they can't see you behind walls with windows until they break is a big loophole in a lot of my excuses: /

Or die trying :sob: Great game, did not win unlike your other game.
