I like the framing of the timer with the dragon, very nice!
This was extremely creative! Huge props on this idea! I love the sound-based mechanic and the desire to get out with items you can sell and level up. I struggled with it a bit because even though I wouldnt take many items and I would leave quickly rather than waiting until the timer was low, I still couldnt outrun the dragon without dropping most of my items and therefore not getting much. I think this has such high potential though, amazing job!!
The atmosphere and art style of this game are among my favorites in the entire jam. It feels like this is just a small mechanic from a much larger game, and I love that feeling.
I also really liked the idea of playing around with greed. Having to drop items so the monster doesn’t catch you is a really cool idea, and it works really well.
There’s not much more to say… the concept felt very original, and it left me wanting more!
Great job!
Beat the game (maxxed out every upgrade, tried every area)
Super atmospheric. This has a real STYLE!!!
The artwork is great, the music is fitting.
I think it would be better if the later areas had different changes other than more loot types and less dragon sleep time, but it works well enough for the jam.
I liked it a lot!
The shopkeeper having a limited inventory is a cute idea, which I always like. But it is lowkey a bit anoying. It didn't really cause me any problems thought, I only had to keep like an item in my chest twice. (the weight and escape mechanics already encouradge you to get value dense items anyway)
Maybe the potions could be rebalanced a bit. The red one was the best one i think and had the best balance. I didn't really buy any silences, so I only used them when I found them. Stamina was ocasionaly good
No I'll wake the dragon up for us :))
Fun game though I like managing the weight
Cool game, would be nice if the tooltips popped up faster.
Artwork is really good; I love the vibes. would have liked a little clearer indication on screen, rather than on top, of how close the monster is to reaching me because I would panic and look at him right behind me, so I'd just drop everything out of fear LOL. Otherwise, great game and atmosphere! congrats!
This is insanely good! I have a question: does weight or value of the item you throw away affect how mutch the dragon is going to be slowed down? Also love the escaping beat!
No, any item has same effect in this case. But this is really cool idea, I'll write it down
damnnnnnn who made this AMAZING art
Great style, and fun, tense gameplay! I'd love to see how this could be expanded.
I loved the game. Great graphics and nice spin on the theme with the dragon.
So much fun! Cleared all maps, maxed the skilltree. Love the visual style and the tense chases. With some more polish/balancing and content this could easily become a full game.
5/5 on ALL categories
Oh, you are too kind! :3
Feels like a finished game!Amazing art, simple yet addictive mechanics, great sound design
Awsome game!
Cool Art, and interesting gameplay
I really liked the suspense when the dragon is chasing you! The art is also really well done. Solid game!
The game has the vibes of an unreleased Everhood game. Love the way the characters look, especially the dragon. Also I love that the shop menu looks like the cape of the shopkeeper.
The main issue I have with this game is the lack of difficulty/tension. The game has the potential to become a tense strategy game where you have to weigh your every move. The current version doesn't have the incentives to make the player make risky decisions, it's always better to throw away your things since ultimately the only things you are losing is time since you have to do another run. Also, besides the less expensive loot there is nothing stopping you from grinding in a level untill you are strong enough to easily beat the following ones.
Maybe a fully realised idea of this game could have a limit to the amount of runs the player can make untill it's game over, or maybe it could have a debt system, where every couple of days you have to pay an ever increasing amount of money.
Like the concept,I enjoyed it!
one of the best games of the jam
