How does your game fit the theme?
Two ways. First, a pun: your goal is to help the Count get down the mountain. Secondly, you can only play until the end of night, and a timer counts down at the end of every turn.

The core idea is very very neat. There is certain flow to it I like. It could be very good game to play on the go or during boring lecture at uni xD (I mean that in a good way)
Congrats on finishing Count Down! For something you did not fully get to finish, there is still a solid jam concept here. The art direction gave it a lot of personality. Love the idea. It feel poslished as well.
That is the most impressive game I played so far in this jam, also love the artwork, amazing work :) ♥
Phew! I made it to the end on the last turn with my very last movement.
Very impressive for what has been made in the time limit! Fun little game :)
Neat spin on the deck building genre! Surprisingly straightforward to get. did run into the same problem others mentioned of not having enough ways to gain attack power throughout - maybe cards that give a permanent boost to your starting power? I also wasn't certain if there was a reason to fight, I did a run where I pretty much ran past everything, got to the bottom, but it didn't seem to recognize I'd made it. I was just missing off screen. So yeah, maybe a bit of balancing is needed, but really did enjoy the gameplay loop!
Glad you enjoyed it! The rushing down the mountain/too little attack power issue is kind of an annoying one for me: it's pretty obvious in retrospect but I totally failed to see it coming. BTW one of the reasons to fight (in addition to getting you more points) is that you can unlock stronger cards for your starting deck!
Neat spin on the deck building genre! Surprisingly straightforward to get. The oath cards adding a bit of a roguelike element were particularly cool. Great job!
Oh, this wordplay in the title is just incredible!
First, I thought this game is pretty basic, but on the second run I understood it's deeper than I thought. Looks like it already has a lot of replayability! Nice game!
The “Count Down” pun is brilliant, and the deck-building mechanic made each run surprisingly strategic and fun. Great concept!
This game is so visually polished and I really love the idea. I can't tell if I'm stupid or if the game is weighted incorrectly (I'm stupid, that's what's going on 100%) since I can barely scrape together the AP to fight anything. HOWEVER, I did manage to walk past the end of the game and that got a good laugh out of me. I love where this game is going and I'd love to see more!
Congrats on getting past the end, I didn't think anybody was going to be able to do that! It's not just you -- there is definitely a game balance problem where if you don't focus on getting attack boosting cards early, you can get totally screwed later on. I'm glad you enjoyed it though :)
This is a truly high-quality game!
And it's a card roguelike, too!
Surprisingly well-made for four days.
I also really like the interface and sounds.
Everything is professionally done.
We also have a card game, and it was quite challenging.
I wish you success.
Glad you liked it! I had a lot of fun messing around with different synthesizer settings to make different sound effects, glad it paid off.
I am also highly impressed by the depth of this game. It has so much polish and neatly displays a lot of information. Reiterating it does have a lot of replayability. I don't understand all the mechanics, but had a good time here.
This is the most polished game I've played so far, and has so much repeatability. Love the graphics so much!
Glad you enjoyed it! All credit goes to the creator of 32rogues for the graphics. They made it very easy to have things look nice!
