How does your game fit the theme?
My game has a countdown that changes whether the player or the CPU is playing. When a switch in play happens, a special effect is also applied that majorly impacts the game.

I wish there was more feedback for hitting the notes, like a little splash or something. I know writing music is hard, but original songs would have been nice. (also thanks for having ASKL, and not forcing me to use arrow keys eeeew). Even if it's on the easier side, it was still fun.
This was a solo project and I really didn’t manage my time properly. Feedback for the note hits was going to be a part of the polishing process, but by the last hours, I was still making the charts.
I do want to note though, even though I didn’t personally compose the music, the songs aren’t lazily grabbed off the internet. I remixed sheet music and built the songs in a software to get something somewhat new!
Honestly yeah I get it.
My game is a buggy mess, time management is quiet difficult especially on your own. At least I can play and finish your game, that's pretty impressive.
IM SO BAD AT RHYTHM GAMES!!!!!! this was super cool though, I really like how you added special effects and stuff to the mechanics! good job!
Very cool! You should rate our game as well if you have time!
really fun take on the guitar hero/ddr style game with the jam’s theme in mind, im honestly really happy to see the genre here! both songs are really fun to play. honestly i’d love to see this take with 2-player, i think itd be fun messing with each other! also really liked the art for the characters, they have a lot of personality
this game honestly feels like it just needed a bit more time in the oven (as do all games in this jam), especially for extra visual flair, i felt like it really needed sastisfying vfx & sfx for getting notes right, and extra visuals for missing and losing the combo. this was mentioned when we talked on stream too but different charts wouldve been nice, as they’d feel much more forgiving for players not as accustomed to the genre and thus more fun too (hitting notes is fun)
I liked the artwork and had fun playing. I was able to finish it on beginner. Medium was a big difficulty jump for me.
We also made a rhythm game and found difficulty tuning and mapping to be the part hardest to tune.
Wow as much as I enjoyed playing the game multiple times, I have to admit it is a hard rythm game even on beginner level once both sides start to play! The timing got intense a bit too early. When I skip the dialgoues initially it seems to automatically start at the hard level lol which for quite a while I thought that is the only level to play. Great work on art and music!
I enjoyed playing this game. I had to play on begginer because I suck at rythm games on keyboard, but I still had fun. Switching between the characters let mt fingers rest and I appreciate that. The art and music were great too.
I enjoyed this little rhythm game! I only wish there were more songs and better instrument sounds! I'm a guitarist myself, and it feels weird when I hear midi guitars.
As much as I would’ve loved to use real instruments, this was a one person project with a budget of $0 and I don’t own a bass!
I wanted to do at least 3 songs, but unfortunately the deadline came quicker than I’d have liked it to. Although you’re the first person to wish for more songs, so I appreciate that someone liked the game enough to wish for more!
that was fun !!
This game was actually really good! Though the difficulty spike is CRAZY (at least for me, could be a skill issue in my part). pretty sick interpretation of the theme and I love the interactions between those 2 characters. I ADORE the artwork and the audio is really good!! Overall, I had fun but the difficulty scaling might need a bit of work for non rythm game players like me xD. Great work!!
Thanks for making my life miserable specifically. 10/10
Appreciate the multiple control schemes to accommodate for multiple types of rhythm game players. Heard some people have had issues with the difficulty so that might warrant some tweaking but I personally haven't had issues with it. On a first loop around I didn't really notice the active effects on the UI, some explaining of what the UI does probably might've been a nice touch but otherwise it's fairly intuitive once you play a couple times. Also you cooked with the art this year, bless bringing back Sage.
You now owe me 5 tesseracts

This was nice. Had fun. I like the art as well
I discovered rhythm games during this jam (since my teamate wanted to make one).
I found this game fun to play, with a very beautiful art style. The audio is also good.
Good work!
Nice rhythm game, would be nice if there were more clear hit effects rather than only miss effects. A lot of the fun of rhythm games is the satisfaction of playing along with the song, so the lack of any satisfying effect or noise for successful play makes the game feel a bit empty.
That was gonna be a part of the polishing process, but time was super tight :(
I appreciate that the instruments have an accurate amount of strings on them. Also it made me chuckle a bit when the arrows started moving because it was so unexpected XD
I picked beginner and at first I thought I was doing well, but them it escalated so much hahaah. Good game though
a really nice game! i'm not good at these games usually ( and i'm still not) but it was a fun experience, specially when both play at the same time, it gets insane to fellow it xD well done!
Oh my, that escalated quickly ahah. Clever Idea and concept. Maybe just making the difficulty curve a little less steep :D. Goob job in such a short time !
maybe needed a little more polishing, but fun concept
Yeha, haha
I was still working on the last chart in like the last 2 hours of the jam. Maybe I should’ve slept a little less…
Hard game, but clever to implement reaction time into a rhythm game
