How does your game fit the theme?
The lights go out after a short while, the clock is ticking if you want to survive another day.

All the sounds come from freesound.org. Most were modified using Audacity. The art is just polygons, except the key and cover image that I created with Aseprite.

Game lagged in fullscreen for us, so we lost some of the ambiance unfortunately but we could tell its there. The sound design was brilliant. As the time runs out and the heartbeat intensifies it feels so stressful but in the best way. We managed to escape! :)
Sorry for the performance!
Thank you for playing, and well done with the kids and their game!
Nice horror game; the sound effects are awesome. I don't know why, but in full screen the game became a bit laggy, but in general I finished. Decent work.
Thanks!
Yes you're not the first one to mention this issue. I wonder why that happens :(
really niceand scary game! good job!
Thank you!
nice game game oveerall. I know that its supposed to be dark and hard to see, but i still felt like I had a hard time distinguishing what were walls and what were not. maybe its just me but I feel like you could somehow improve on the visuals to keep the dark and lack of light vibe but make it easy to distinguish walls. I found myself just pressing randome keys and hopeing it was an opening and not a wall.
Thank you!
Yes I think the next step is to work on textures. When that is done it'll be easier to balance the lighting hopefully!
great game scary atmosphere I lack words
Thank you for playing!
Great (and scary) atmosphere!
Thank you for playing!
Also tried your game but I can't comment because of rate limit, so here is my comment until I can post it there:
Love the style of the game! Also I like the combat system with the countdown timer, perfectly goes with the theme of the jam. Good job!
Nothing prepared me for that thing running at me the first playthrough 😂
but i beat it the second time, had fun playing! well done!
Thank you for playing! And good job on beating it!
really pretty lighting! game is fun, good job!
Hey! Thank you for playing. Again, well done on yours :)
+ Atmosphere is 10/10
+ Sound is Amazing
+ You really nailed the exploration / curiosity gameplay. You are inspiring me how to make my "day phase" for exploration better!
The sound fully compensates lacks of graphics. SIMple graphics wokr really well, tho color selection on main player and power restore could use some help (jsut use better color palette)
Thank you for your insight! You're 100% right, I think I'll focus more on art and colors on my next jam. Thanks!
Great atmosphere! I enjoyed the short maze. I played it twice because I read after my first playthrough that something was lurking in the shadows. I didn't encounter it during my first playthrough, but I did on my second. Good job! :)
Thank you for playing! I was scared of making the game too difficult and not enjoyable by making them too fast, I guess that's why you didn't encounter them on the first run, or maybe you were super lucky haha! Thanks man!
Short and sweet, great use of sound design
Thank you!
The lighting is so effective! I want more levels! That wasn't nearly enough maze for me!
I wish I had more time to add others maps and puzzles instead of just a key, but hey that's a game jam!
Thank you so much for playing :)
Nailed the atmosphere! Nice little peace!
Thank you!
Really fun!+
Hope to try my game 😊
Thank you for playing my game!
Tried yours, I'm so bad at having multiple responsibilities at the same time haha!
Good job on creating 6 mini-games in 1 game!
It's crazy how something with so little visuals or story can be so immersive. I think it's primarily thanks to the incredibly good sound design. Well done!
Thank you!
It really pleases me that you say that because I loved working on those tiny sounds but like you say I feel like that's what can make a game immersive!
Loved the artwork on your game! I also like the chill music outside and then when you get in the water the "silence" for the water with its little sounds.
Creepy game, with really well done ambiance. Unfortunately I don't know if I did something wrong but I found the key and what looked like a door and nothing happened. But still creeped me out wandering around.
I am the one who did something wrong! I forgot to mention the lights to be on if you want to use the key and get out of here.
Just added the info in the description but I definitely should have added a prompt when you get there to tell you either "Needs a key" or "Lights must be on" or both depending on the case...
Thank you for playing my game, I had fun trying yours, and huge respect for making a 3D game!
Great mix of exploration and horror! The overall atmosphere, visuals, lighting, and sound design, is fantastic. My only issue was performance: running the game maximized caused some heavy lag.
Thanks!
Sorry for the performance, no idea that would be :(
On the other hand I had no issue at all with your game, on the contrary, very smooth and fun !
Easy to pick up and play. Like I said in the comments, just needs a bit of visuals upgrade and that could be a finished game. GG!
cool concept i liked the lights going out and having to turn them back on
Thank you for playing!
Tried yours but had an issue with the game not being contained in my screen so i could only see the words and my character move when I type.
Funny idea though, good job!
Yhea, definitely should have made it more clear for people to play in full screen did not give it much thought until the game was uploaded
