This is literally peak. Such a unique mechanic, really exciting too. And man this game just has so much charm, the models of the characters are so cute, the animations, the effects, the camera, I mean just all around its really very well made. I'd love to see this as a full fledged game, genuinely super fun. Amazing work.

(omg and I even forgot to mention the audio, so good too)

Awesome game...Love the graphics and the game feel. I really like how the countdown also dictates which move will be used...gives depth to the countdown. I wish the warrior and healer had more moves but overall it's a fantastic game with a very appealing presentation.

Wow, the graphics look amazing! And it was really fun to play!  Sound & Music are good too! 😎

Oh that was really bloody cute xD Lovely graphics and animation! Honestly my only complaint is I wish there was a bit more variety in the enemy design but jolly good show!

I had run out of time and tried to get clever with what resources I had left lol. The healer has 2 additional skills than the warrior and then the mage has more. Given more time I would have liked to make them vary more! Thank you for playing :)

This works SO WELL for me.

First off, the presentation is super slick, and I could see a full game of this art style. And the concept alone is really fun, especially how weaker/more common attacks are on number ranges are rarer ones are on single numbers or cooldowns.

But that’s not what impressed me most.

When the boss ATE A NUMBER. That’s when I realized how cool this idea was and how much you could do with it.

Great job coming up with something so unique that feels so natural and can go so many ways. Would love to see you expand this, and I hope you do after the jam ends! I would play more of it!

How amazingly GOOD the animation is is absolutely crazy!

I felt like playing a Toy Story RPG ^^

And a very good use of the countdown theme!

Congrats!

Very impressive visual and perspect view! This is probably the first turn based rpg I played in GMTK this year. I beat all bosses and got the "Time Restored" ending! The gameplay could be tuned a bit tho because I found the easist way is to just "space" through the game lol! And pretty much all boss are constantly iced. Overall amazing visual style and this can be extended into a real game!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah ice and and confusion are super strong honestly.they do have cool downs so you can spam them but its still super easy if you know what you are doing. The final boss does cast reflect which tries to punish you for attacking during that period. Thank you for playing. :)

 Hello from discord!

Dude I love the animation and style of the endless boss battle game!

the combat looks nice the game is not difficult at all haha I even beat 4 bosses

our games can be similar in many ways!

Developer

Woah thats impressive ~ There are only 3 bosses in the game, its not an endless boss battle. Giga chad.

lol I accidentally wrote 4, sorry, I actually played 3 bosses;((((

Developer

Mistakes happen :) was impressed you thought it was endless too that would be cool!

Such a creative idea, and perfectly executed. Love the risk and reward of some of the attacks as well

I had so much fun playing this game, I liked this turn based style of battle it is new to me, and I instantly became a fan. I enjoyed the animations and the effect of the wizard’s spells. The “ONE BUTTON FOR 18 SKILLS” is a fantastic idea - I might borrow it :D

Visually great!

Really good game, played AT SPEED on stream! Well done all!

Solid implementation of the theme! I think the balancing could use a bit of work, as I think every boss is beatable purely by spam stunning them with mage freeze -> confusion -> slow -> repeat. The little cinematics are really fun and there's a lot of personality within the game!

One of the best for me, I love it

Looks and sounds fantastic! Initially didn’t see what the challenge was going to be but was pleasantly surprised!

Found this on reddit funnily enough. This one is super well done! I love the art, animations and aesthetic! Really great stuff. I like how you played around with the countdown selector a good amount. The speed up mechanic was really cool. Well done!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! Always a dice roll on reddit but I appreciate you popping along to see :)

This is so fun! I’d love to see this system in a larger game

Wow I really enjoyed this, it was a very creative idea! The mage's spells were fun to figure out they were each very unique. And the enemies don't just attack you, they use the system against you to make it harder to attack. On top of that, the visuals and the soundtrack are pretty good. Very impressive.
