HAHAHAHA, why does his poop fill the entire room!!! Really creative entry for the jam theme. I also love the attention to detail in making the player fall down after stepping on the poop.

Developer(+1)

Its his superpower, he has an innate affinity for pooping and being stinky. In an earlier build I made him poop more and it was a little too much haha, in one go he could block the entire hallway so I had to tone it down. I'm glad you liked it, the tripping was really fun to work on! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

This is incredible—you might genuinely be a genius.

Developer

I think scarred and sleep deprived might be more accurate, but my dog might be a genius for putting me through that lmao. Thank you, and thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

You did NOT have to make that shit so realistic XD

But there is beauty in the grotesque...

Developer

I even wanted to make it more realisitic but when I showed it to my partner she confirmed to me that it was enough lmao. Thanks for playing!

-_-
Thanks I hate it. I love it. My feelings are in conflict.

I found the leash, I got the darn dog, forget my shoes and the keys, I live in a safe neighborhood and I'm up to date on my tetanus shots. ...am I locked in? I NEED the keys?... they could be anywhere... under... anywhere under all. that. poop.

This was a very good time. Thank you.

Developer(+1)

Haha I have a bit of a love hate relationship with my dog as well. Uh oh lmao, hopefully you were able to find the keys! It was a worry of mine that the poop could cover them up but I had to live with that risk with what time I had. I'm glad you had a good time wrangling  the dog, thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

This is both comedy and horror mixed into one giant brown fountain hahaha! I'm not sure if the character is meant to slip on the poo intentionally and at one point in time it rolled over 180 degrees, it was so bad hahaha! I liked the randomisation of the objects to find. Really funny idea!

Developer

Haha yea I loved leaning into the horror aspect of it but wish I was able to build the mood more with some music and better lighting. And oh yes, the tripping was my greatest idea ;) I thought it would be funny to have the character go sliding and rolling across the room scrambling to get the dog lmao. Thanks for playing!

If you can update it to a 3rd person camera view with ragdoll physics on the person model in the future, it would be even more entertaining/horrifying and would make for great game streaming. Particularly if you expand it to a two player game! I'm just imagining one person needs to try and corner the dog and the other attach the collar haha

Developer

I like your thinking ;) I might just have to do that when I get the chance. I did originally want to do third person but didn't want to animate a player haha.

Thats some krezi shi

Very fun and chaotic game right here!

Have high ratings for this as I literally have fun on it

Great Game!!! I have nothing to say

Developer(+1)

My mind thrives off chaos, I'm happy you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I couldn't get it to run well in the browser with my mac, so i couldn't rate it, but just wanted to let you know it was great use of the theme.

Developer

Aww darn, it runs great on my macbook but thats on me for not getting it tested in time. I'm using firefox, and I think it ran well on chrome if you wanted to try either of those. Either way, thank you I'm glad you liked the idea!

Submitted(+1)

i am so worried about the real life experiences! does yr dog does that at home? XD

i guesss you tried to simulate the fall down when stepping on the shit?

great game btw!

Developer

Unfortunately he did ;( but I might have exaggerated a bit, although I did not get much sleep that night between dealing with poops. Yea I thought it would be funny to have the player trip over poop and the dog, I think it turned out alright but could use a bit more work to make the tripping feel better. Thank you, and thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

This game is hilarious!!!

Now I want a sequel where we take the dog outside and walk past people while it "shoots" them like that crazy weapon from Saints Row xDDDD

One question though... what on earth are you feeding this dog? xDDD

Such a weird and creative idea. At first I had no idea what had happened. I walked into a room to look for something, came back out and then... well... let's just say I wasn't expecting that xD The chaotic physics make everything even funnier. That's always a great combination.

Great job! This game gave me a lot of laughs :)

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you got some good laughs! We got him a different salmon oil for his old man joints that did not sit well with him that night lmao. We switched back to the old one and now he's back to his usual pooping pattern. It sounds like you had just the experience I was trying to convey haha, I'd like to work a bit more on the physics as well as add some sound effects later. Thanks for playing!

Holy shit! I’m so sorry this happened to you.

I didn’t have any mouse sensitivity issues (possibly because I’m using a trackpad), but I was sent rolling in the deep on multiple occasions. Never thought that’d make for a fun game, but here we are!

Great work! I’ll be thinking of more crappy puns.

Developer(+1)

Haha I'm just happy its over and that the little guys bowels are feeling better. I guess you could say I made it for the shits and giggles ;) Thanks for playing, I'm glad you got some good laughs!

Submitted(+1)

I wasn't able to complete the game due to mouse sensitivity issues and getting stuck on certain geometry, but you came up with a really silly idea with the theme and committed to it, so i respect that. Congrats on completing your first jam!

Developer

Thanks for giving it a go! Yea I missed checking that the sensitivity was alright with different setups, I'll try and fix that afterwards if I get the time. I think that the tripping mechanic still has a few issues I need to work out, it was working pretty well when I implemented it on its own but I think I missed something when I integrated it in with the poop collision and now the camera can get stuck on poop sometimes. That or something else, either way thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

It's creative, I'll give you that! lol, I mean I wasn't able to finish it because the mouse sensitivity was just way too high and, well, you know. But I gotta appreciate the commitment to the bit!

Developer(+1)

Haha I'm glad you liked the premise! Yea I didn't end up having time to have anyone play test it so I missed that the mouse sensitivity was a little crazy. My DPI is really low on my mouse and the sensitivity doesn't seem to be an issue on trackpad so it didn't come through during development ;( Thanks for giving it a go though!

Submitted(+1)

this should be top 100 why is it rated so low?!?!?! my only nitpick i could find was no background music. this is what game development is TRULY about, well done, well done indeed. not only did you NAIL the theme but you nailed the essence of the craft.

Developer

Lmao in my 3am post dog pooping in the apartment dreams my little poop game is top 100. Thank you so much though, I'm glad you enjoyed it and like my approach to game development! For my first public game I'm glad I'm doing something right. I was very sad that I ran out of time to make background music ;( I really like making music and it didn't feel right to put in some royalty free music. I had a little too much fun hand crafting that poop noise though lmao. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Lol what a silly premise. I like the slipping, but didn’t like that the camera just locked onto a static position for a while. Besides that, cute execution of a whacky ass idea.

Developer

My mind gravitates toward the silly premises haha. The slipping was one of my favorite mechanics to implement and think about, but I do agree somtimes the way that the camera locks feels off and could be adjusted to feel a bit more like you slipped and less like early onset rigor mortis. Although if you mean that the camera was completely stationary and just locked your controls then that was a bug. I attempted to fix that one and thought I got it for the most part but it might need some more tweaking. Thanks for playing!

This is peak game design, it's the kind of stuff I frickin love to see! A weird idea made into a small and fun game! I smiled during the whole time I played, and when I held the dog for the first time... THAT CANON!!!

THANKS A LOT FOR MAKING THAT GAME! You made my day, sincerely.

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm glad it had such a positive impact on you! I had a lot of fun making it and thinking of ways to make it more chaotic and  absurd. I wish I took some time off to work on it more, I had some more ideas to help cement the vibe of a 3am doggy disaster lmao. When I was adding the ability to pick up the dog I first had him facing forward like how I would normally pick up any animal, but then I was like hmmmmm it would be really funny if he just continued to blast out poop from the players pov. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Chaotic is surely a way to describe this and it definitelly left a good, damn it i wanted to say stain on the review but that sounds like a gave a bad one lol... anyway the games funny and fun as hell, 5/5

Developer

lmao I think stain is a good way of putting it. The events leading up to this game have for sure been stained into my memory. Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed the chaos!

Submitted(+1)

It's a very funny game, I didn't think it would appear on the game jam.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed it, part of me was a little worried I went too far with the poop and that it would just be gross haha. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Okay already the premise made me laugh and think - thats my kinda game lolol. Then i Played it and OH GOOD LORD THE AMOUNT OF CRAP EVERYWHERE. I used to love dogs but this little guy.. ohh when I grab him he will be sorry XD Gotta keep trying!!! Well done

Developer(+2)

My partner had me sold on the premise in like 30 seconds lmao. I put the brunt of my work into the poop effects, but sadly the vfx for the poop don't seem to work on the webgl version, I'm still very happy with how those poops turned out.  Glad you enjoyed the chaos, thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

After slipping on poop for more than 10 times I was able to beat the game lol. It's a funny chaotic game and I loved the slipping idea. I wish player can get a bag or broom to clear out the path. I want to see what you can do with harder levels, multiple dogs? bigger rooms? more tasks to do? But it's a great given the 4 day limit.

Developer

I was so excited when I thought up the slipping idea, wish I had time to put in sound effects for the tripping though. I actually thought about the option for multiple dogs the day after ;((( now I'm sad I didn't because it wouldn't have been that difficult to implement and the idea of there being 10 dogs all pooping in that small apartment sounds delightful. Thanks for playing, I'll try and add some of those features if I get time to work on it after the jam!

Submitted(+1)

I'm speechless. This game is so absurd and hilarious. My only feedback is that the lighting can be a bit buggy and the objective is unclear, the game could use some object highlights to show what you can and can't interact with, and what you need to do to win.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yea the lighting was fine at first but toward the end of development I realized it was a bit too dark so I adjusted it and in the process made it kind of wacky but at least a little brighter. That's a good idea, I probably should have thought of putting a highlight over the items if the player was close enough. I'll definitely try and add that and some more polish after the jam if I get the time. Thanks for playing!
