Took me a few tries but I did it :D
Good concept and well polished. For some reason, I really love games that have typing in them lol.
This is actually really well made, the visuals are charming, music and sfx are amazing, gameplay is super fun, I only had an issue with the “type” and “press” minigames, nothing happens, I keep typing 0 and X (and everything for that matter) but nothing happens. Anyways, amazing game!
edit: oh my god, just read through some comments and now I get it: ITS A MICROWAVE. Damn this is 5 stars for creativity for sure
Thanks for the feedback! You're not the first one struggling with this ;) Some more playtests and we would have come up with clearer communication. But there was simply no time left :D
In "Type" you have to type the word "countdown" (letters at the bottom of the screen).
In "Press" you just use the numbers on your keyboard. Pressing 9 counts down to 8 then you have to press 8 and so on :)
This microwave minigame is so much fun!! The level design is fantastic, and it’s such a relaxing little game.
This is definitely one of my favorite games in the jam!!!
Thank you for your nice feedback :) Can't play your game back cause I only have a Mac or Linux device, though :D Looks very unique :)
Nice way of minigame my microwave time! Good concept nice swap of controls, and fun games! Good job! the polish was there!
Thank you :)
enjoyed this a lot! well done
Ejoyed yours aswell thanks for the comment :)
Well polished game and a fun idea!
Thanks :)
I really liked this game - it was a lot of fun. I was kind of getting dumb ways to die vibes but with a countdown! Super cool game, the music and art is great as well, you should be super happy with what you've built. The only improvement I could suggest would be a leaderboard!
Thanks - leaderboard is a great suggestion! If you have advice or links to share on how to start with a leaderboard, please share! Will look at your game once I am at a pc to play - looks super polished and fun as well :)
There's definitely a few options (for Unity). I think the most popular are PlayFab, UGS (Unity Game Service). I think this video is a good place to start. Having said that I haven't implemented a leaderboard before and I prefer Godot. If you need help implementing one after the jam let me know, I'd be happy to help :)
Cool :) I actually might come back to that, if I'm stuck. The video seems to be a beginner friendly solution, though - Thanks!
It was fun to figure out the controls to each minigame. The visuals and audio work really well too. I think the "dodge" and "don't move" minigames should have a longer delay at the start so that there's a fair time to react to them.
Thanks for the feedback :) If there is time we will increase the delays after the jam is over - though I fear changing the "dodge" code. Out of all of the minigames it gave us the most headaches and the code got real messy. To be honest – I am amazed it worked in the end :D
Very polished. I was caught off guard by the dodge the number and don't move minigames in my first couple of attempts. It's not a problem once you build up the reaction time but maybe slightly extending the time before a minigame starts could help with player reaction time/swapping between mouse and keyboard. Fun, short and sweet game nonetheless.
Thanks a lot for your nice comment! We thought about adding transitions screens between the games but decided against that to keep the game as fast and snappy as possible. That being said I can totally see your point giving the player an earlier indication of what to do could be a nice addition to the game.
excellent game! Nice gameplay, love it! 🫶
Thanks! <3
Cool game! - i am to bad at reaction games .-.
Maybe this is your chance to train those evil reaction games; ) Jokes aside thanks a lot for playing our game and your super nice comment!
Super fun game, well done!
Thanks!
Another CRT enjoyer! Jokes aside, this is a really cool project. The sound design and visuals are excellent. However, the gameplay feels a bit unfocused, some parts are too easy, while others are unexpectedly difficult. I think adding a stronger sense of progression and rewarding the player more consistently would make the experience much more engaging.
Thanks for your nice feedback. Since this was our first jam and we are both not very experienced with any game development we wanted to keep things as easy as possible thats why some of the minigames are as simple as just clicking 9 times. But you're absolutely right the difficulty levels of the games dont match each other very well. That's definitely something to consider next year for GMTK 2027!
I love the artstyle! The old TV look is so cool. But I do have to say, that some of the minigames can be confusing when strung together. Like the one where you have to dodge with the one, where you do nothing - I always was already moving the mouse so it just instantly killed me. If you wanna work on it more a suggest adding quick and simple instructions like in warioware, which has a similar premise! Still amazing job!
Thanks for the great feedback! :) We thought about adding instructions in between - but tried to keep it as snappy as possible and in the end scratched the idea of inbetween-instructions. For the do nothing game there is a 0.5s time interval that allows to release any input bleeding from the game before, maybe we could have increased that a bit ;)
Super creative, fantastic style, and all in all really tight and clever. One of the best I played so far. Loved it!
Thank you! This being our first game jam, I did not expect the overall feedback to be as wholesome as it is :') Got to find time somehow today to play even more games myself :D
One of the best i have played this jam
Thanks alot :)
super fun and original! the visuals were so cool, and I loved the sounds! :D
Thanks for the nice feedback maimaiimai :)
me heating up my chicken nuggets
:D
Clever and well executed!

Countdown was a great opportunity for WarioWare-esque minigames and this captures the essence of that smartly.
Great work I am jealous!
Gonna go chow down now while it's still hot:
Thank you for your super nice comment! Wario Ware was our biggest source of inspiration so you're comment means a lot to us!
nice game. failed to catch.
Thanks a lot for playing and commenting. In the Catch Game you have to Press the right mouse button when the number you have to catch (written above e.g. "Catch 3") appears.
