How does your game fit the theme?
So essentially the interpretation of count down in the game is the reverse journey through time, as the character is traveling backwards in time. And in each time period they can find clues where the player will get closer to the origin mystery. So in this whole game the player is constantly going through time and every clue is basically counting them down and making them get closer to the origin. So a countdown in the sense of time moving backwards, and another sense in clues leading them closer (counting players down) to solving the mystery.

This was such a good game I don't have the words to describe it. And the final choice at the end of the game...

Developer

thanks a lot!

Lovely narrative based game. Main nitpick is it wasn't clear what was blocking me at times I couldn't move, but it wasn't so bad.

Developer

ty! i didn't have a lot of time to improve on pixel blocking so I was a lil upset but will fs keep this in mind when redeveloping!

This touches things. But more through intent and atmosphere. And there is something vibrant about the location.

Developer

tyyyy :3

Let's start with the fact that moving around is a little clunky...but it doesn't matter at all : the game you made was really poetic and truly moved me, thank you <3

Developer

tyyy! im super sad that I didn't get to fix all the pixel blocking and autoroutinggg will fs do in the redevelopment too!

Amazing work. I didn't finish it though, because in case if you are planning to release it, I would be more than happy to support, so I did not want to spoil the ending lol. Just one suggestion, if you plan to release, have the narrator and dialogue voiced. I can totally understand that it was not possible to do within this jam.

I could clearly see it among top 100s of this jam.

Developer

thank youuuu! I will definitely incorporate voice and narrator dialogue when redeveloping! will try to start next week if possible :3

Good job! Is this one of your first game jams? This is really good for something built in such a short time frame. Lets trade ratings if you have time!

Developer(+1)

Great work. Controls are a bit tough with movement and clicking on people that just don't like to sit still. Lots of wonderful effort is in this, good job!

I don't think I'm smart enough to get it.

Developer

ello its all good! the main ig realization of the story is that as people grow older we tend we focus so much on our ordinary lives that we forget to kind of "wonder" like children. That's why children in this game say how the stars "sing" while the player as an adult, think it's very childish. And in the end to hear the stars "singing" the player has to essentially forget all the societal constraints placed onto them, becoming curious about the world again.

You made really good use of available assets and sound effects to use as a vehicle for this narrative. Overall it was a short story, but impressive for the short time frame of the jam!
