It was NOT a little too easy, I found the difficulty perfectly fine. The art is very lovely and the animations are spot on! I just wish there was a interactive tutorial, but for a Jam this submission is more than enough! Great job!
I enjoyed this game. It took me a while to get the mechanics because I prefer learning them through game play instead of instructions, but once I got rolling, I kept going until I finished all the levels. Nicely done!
Great game and fantastic concept! It was a little too easy, but that's probably a good thing for a game jam where not everyone is used to puzzle solving games. I was a bit disappointed that there was no You Win! screen at the end.
Fantastic job!
Thank you! The difficulty is somewhat subjective I guess, we've had people saying that the game is too easy, hard or just right so it does depend a lot on your puzzle solving experience. As for the "You win" screen, yeah we wished we had that too but the levels and main menu were stitched together in the last hour of the jam so we simply ran out of time
Yeah, that's what I thought. This difficulty probably perfect for the game jam. I scrambled a bit near the end of the game jam and ended up breaking some things accidentally, not having a win screen is low on the priority list. Especially when most people don't even complete the games. Hopefully you'll add it after the jam, shouldn't be too difficult when there is less deadline stress involved!
what a fun concept! i liked playing this one and figuring it out. the music compliments the gameplay
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Nice work! Very polished
Thanks!
There was a lot more depth to this puzzle mechanic than I was expecting! You did a really good job with this!
Thank you!
A well-made and intuitive game! Good luck with the jam :)
Thank you, glad you liked it!
the puzzle design is on point, creative and fun, difficulty curve is best i've seen in this jam.
for improvement, the only point i can make is, making it faster paced and snappier, most of my time playing was watching the animation of ghost playing, so maybe at least an option for it to go instantly or speed up wouldve been good.
Thanks for playing! I'm not sure if that's the case, but I have experienced a bug where the game slows down a little when too many other processes are active on my PC. The game is built one some quite spaghetti code so it's definitely possible. Usually I was able to speed it up a little by shutting the other stuff down. That being said, perhaps you had it at full speed and found it too slow as well, also possible since we wanted to have it somewhat slow so players could read the +1s from the carpet. Either way thanks for the feedback!
This was 100% worth playing all the way through--each level was so well-designed and felt like a fresh spin on your mechanics. It did the thing I love in puzzle games where finding the solution usually required not overthinking things, which, of course, is the hardest thing to do when you're trying to solve a puzzle. Your description mentioned you didn't have time to do a tutorial, but I didn't feel like it needed one! You did such a great job starting simple and adding twists/mechanics bit by bit that the game itself was the guide. At no point did I get stuck on "what does this thing do" because it's so quick to test the thing out, fail (but see what happened), reset, and go again. Also, the pixel art is so wonderfully vibrant. I hope you make more levels. This was a real gem for me!
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you could learn the mechanics from playing, we wished we had more time to put into that so it's good to hear someone liked it the way it is. We actually really enjoyed the puzzle making process and in fact have already come up with a few more levels. So, if time allows, we might actually turn this into a full game, so keep an eye out if you're interested!
Such a cute and well-designed puzzle game. Great job, team!
Thank you!
this is one of the best games i've played in the jam so far! the art is cute and i really enjoyed the implementation of the theme, definitely adds a unique tension and strategy to the sokoban format
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for including tutorial in the game description. The puzzle is very clever, but like you mentioned - not really intuitive. I'm not very good at games like those, but I still enjoyed it :)
Thanks for playing! Good to hear the tutorial helped haha
A really nice puzzle, cute art and the gameplay is pretty nice. Good work
Thanks, glad you liked it!
this is actually a good puzzle game, it took me a while to understand, but once you do it was actually pretty fun.
Thank you!
really cool game, would appreciate if tutorial is in the game itself but understand the time constraint.
Thank you! Yes we would have loved an in-game tutorial or better yet tutorialization through level design, but we couldn't work for the full 4 days this year sadly
Really good game. Took me a while to understand the rules, but once i figured that out it was fun
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Really fun game, it took me a little while to figure things out but once I did it was really cool
Thank you!
woow really fun and interesting puzzle game!!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed
Very interesting game! I think I would've appreciated some more difficult levels, but I understand that can be hard to achieve within the time constraints. Regardless, I don't think I've played a game with a similar mechanic, so I'd be very interested in a full release with some more tricky puzzles. Also, an undo button would have been a nice quality of life feature.
Thanks for playing, glad you liked it! Nice to hear someone say they found the game easy, most people we play-tested with found it mostly challenging. The levels were made pretty last second, so some can be broken in unintended ways which might make them seem easier than we would have liked. We wanted to have an undo button, but we simply didn't have time to implement it. We are actually considering a full release because we found we really enjoyed the level design process and also think there's more potential to this idea, so keep an eye on it maybe something comes out of it haha
Devious little game, I loved it.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
