How does your game fit the theme?
The game features hourglasses which always count down. The question is, which way is down.

Really nice idea! The first levels were really fun to play with and the graphics are cute. I do like the theme too.
I unfortunately already got stuck at level 3, there seems to be nowhere I can go to? Does someone know what to do there?
I found a bit of a slow and steady approach was what got me through it. Throw the hourglass to one end of the platform, then you can pick it up and move. Rinse, repeat.
Ahh, thank you! I didn't know you could throw it, but I guess I could have figured that out. ^^"
It’s a really good concept, but the game is so hard.
I really struggled on map 7… In some levels, the game feels more like Celeste than a puzzle game. Even after you’ve figured out the route you need to take, you still have to execute it perfectly. And it’s not easy to jump while aiming the mouse in the right direction.
I agree, it definitely leans more toward the platformer aspect rather than solving puzzles, which was not the original intention, but the result of I don't know how to make puzzles haha :/
Cool idea and nice artwork! You should try to develop this further after the event, when you have more time :D
Creative idea! Artwork looks great. Audio is very good also.
But... I couldn't even figure out level one! So I guess this is just not the game for me. 😂 😂 😂
Very cool hourglass mechanic. I love the Egyptian setting. The music was great. I like the dynamic camera movement. I couldn't beat the 3rd level so maybe the pace of your difficulty increase could have been a little slower. Still had a fun time. Neat small touch of the hour glass in level select menu. Great job!
Really good take on the theme! It feels really well polished too and experiments well with the mechanic. I love the idea of tying horizontal movement to the movement type hourglass, it gives such rich ways of having to deal with the orientation.
I would be remiss not to comment on the dynamic light cast by the moving platforms, thats a really good touch to anchor the elements into the world!
Very clever! I struggled a lot with level 3 because I thought I had to keep throwing the hourglass to the right side of the platform so that I could pick it up and carry it to the left and advance time that way. It made a lot more sense when I got to level 5 and learned I could just rotate the hourglass with the mouse!
Hi! Thank you for your feedback! In fact, they are different types of hourglasses (movement based and mouse based). However, the visual distinction is not clear (one is brown and the other is gray, but its very subtle). This will definitely need to be improved in the next update.
I love the core mechanic, and I personally thought the level of difficulty was very good. And also really liked the light effects with shadows, really adds a nice touch to the final result
Team hourglass here! Loved the game! Quite tricky to manage the platforms since they also move the hourglass but it was very fun!
Thank you! Hourglass gang rise up
A very interesting mechanic and interpretation of the jam theme! It feels a little too difficult, perhaps because it could use some more polish. But the creativity of the idea is truly outstanding))
Really neat idea! i found getting it to do what i want it to do a little tricky, especially on moving platforms, but that may be a skill issue
I enjoyed the process of understanding the hourglass mechanic-- as a fellow person who used an hourglass, the tilt angle is a cool idea! Being able to drop the hourglass and pick it up from a different angle was fun to do. Lighting and colours stood out positively to me as well. This was a very well-crafted and enjoyable game to play!
Cool mechanic, really adds a unique level of challenge to the platformer.
the hourglass mechanic is so cool, love the ancient egypt theme as well. sand moving around in hourglass looks amazing :)
I love hourglasses as a puzzle mechanic. The idea of being able to move time back and forth, but being limited by holding the hour glass leads to some really interesting puzzles. Also the sand moving around in the hour glasses was a really nice peace of polish. I think I cheated some of the levels though with throwing the hourglass in the first few levels where the hourglass turned as you walked. Also I don't think in those levels the hourglass should spin when your being moved by a moving platform. Congrats on submitting!
Thank you for your feedback! The first few levels (especially 2 and 3) were me messing around, they definitely need to be reworked, they're currently more like tutorial levels with no challenge.
The hourglass spinning when on top of the platform was initially unintended, but it was kept as an added source of difficulty.
Super sweet idea! I really like the hourglass effect. Its funny (since we both went with hourglasses) I was also thinking to make it Ancient Egypt themed, but I looked it up and hourglasses did not actually come from Egypt - fun fact of the day. Level 7 made me rage quit but I'll come back later to finish ;)
Thank you! That's interesting. However, those hourglasses could have been left there in a later period, since we don't know the exact date the game is taking place.
Loved the little mummy escaping through levels. The ancient Egypt theme is nicely used. Pixel art is great, with nice lighting effects. Music and sound effects polished. Great game!
Nice game!
Clever idea and I love the pixel art!
very creative puzzle game, I think it's a great take on the theme, also hourglasses are pretty cool
could be very well expanded upon, lots of potential for design iteration
