Was so focused on getting a high score that I completely forgot to rate this sooner. Here goes:
This game was very enjoyable, had simple and visually appealing art, really good audio design and even support for other languages which was completely unnecessary for a jam but you still did it for the sake of UX maybe? Actually impressive considering the time you had on your hands. Feature-wise I don't think anything is missing. I wish the controls on the character were a little more responsive at the beginning of the runs but when the game gets faster, the controls feel more responsive which is good. You really nailed the arcade feel on that one. The off-camera canon shots didn't bother me as much as the mountain gaps that just one-shot you. I tried to see if I could press space bar even without that gap, see if I could get an exploit. Game did not give it to me. However in the particular situation I show in this image, you can actually press space to jump over the wall, probably because the code just checks if the player's y position is below a gap or something. This configuration happens rarely enough for it to not matter though, and these are things that don't break the game's flow or fun at all. Might be good for you to be aware of those little bugs though for future stuff or if you plan to extend this..
Thanks for your bug report ! We will fix this in future updates, the code that checks if you can jump a gap is looking for a type of tile map in this situation the gap tile map. I think that when one of us was building the game, we edited the wrong tile map and this bug occurred. Glad you enjoyed playing the game ! And again huge thanks for playing, reviewing and for bug hunting !
it's a really nice game ! the feedbacks are great and make it feel good to play ! I think it could work well on mobile
Damn I love games when they feel smooth to play ! Loved the *feel* of it even though I'm bad at quick thinking and dodging stuff usually ;-;. Great Excecution for the idea !
The idea was very good but the execution was even better!!!!!! The game is so good i cant stop playing it! The art is so polished and the game mechanics are so wonderful. Very good game, release on steam right now as soon as possible for you ofc as long as its okay with you my friend :)
I respect your hustle because it is noticable.
make sure you also check my hustled game too, I worked on itin a very hustly way. malin.

Ammazing game, feels smooth and nice to play, the music is pretty good and the art is very pretty, the idea very unique, good job!!!
I like how it was mix of careful planning but also you needed fast thinking at some points. Mixing puzzle with a fast paced movement game! Well done.
In some ways it reminded me of a vertical flappy bird, fun game loop! I'm glad you went with a movement based countdown rather than a timer, helped balance the urgency with enjoyment. Only critique is that it's hard to tell exactly what tile the character is on. I fell in to the gap multiple times since I wasn't sure if I was on the right tile or not. Working towards a high score is a fun experience!
INCREDIBLY charming title. As people have mentioned, the off camera canons were a bit present. However everything else felt incredibly top notch. Great idea and even better execution. The game feels excellent to move in and everything feels so beautiful responsive. Any death I had felt like absolutely the fault of my own.
I really loved the fast paced gameplay and how complete the game felt! The music and art was also incredible and I feel like the gameplay loop worked very well. Probably one of my favorite games from this game jam!
The art style gives off such awesome Celeste vibes, and the UI design and sound effects make every move feel super satisfying and juicy! I can tell there was some great polishing put to this game. Good job!
Fun game, I guess the only thing I didn’t like much was the cannons shooting before you enter the screen in a few sections or that they keep shooting outside the screen, the bullets can make you company for some time if you don’t wait for them to go away, I think this only annoy me at the start of the attempt, when things go very fast I don’t think it’s a bad thing because everything is going too fast and you can move more that it don’t feel like a problem
Also when I get a good attempt, I understand why it is this way, otherwise the runs would be longer and easier, so I feel a little mixed with this haha
The movement feels a little strange at the start, like sometimes there is a little pause between movements or something that makes you go slower but the more you progress it feels good to play
I like the visuals and it’s easy to see the enemies, I like the birds and its jumping sound, it’s cute, the song doesn’t feel too repetitive but at some point I focus too much on the game that I don’t mind it haha. It was fun to play until I got a score I’m happy with, at that point everything was fast and was funny to see and good to play! :)

Thank you a lot for this complete review and playing Neverest ^^
I'm so glad you enjoyed our game :3 To be honest, the cannons shooting outside the screen is a bug that we could not fix on time (Silly developpers :P) and I agree in the fact that it might feel frustrating. The pause between movement is here because we wanted to add a rythm bar inspired on Cript Of The Necordancer, but it was removed and the movement was kept anyways because it felt good. ^^'
By the way, I think your score is the best I have seen so far, congrats! We should have added a leaderboard, we'll try to do it the next time. ;)
I really like this game. Adding a language selection menu is great. Well done!
I love the ui work and all the little sounds that play when interacting with anything. Found the movement and obstacles well-designed and balanced. Great Job! Got to a score of 111 and couldn't beat it.
I really enjoyed the snappy movement! The only thing I would say (and I think this is just me), is that the “holes” in the cliff-face seemed smaller to me than what they are, so I would accidentally fall in, just because I wouldn’t notice the next move is there the hole is. After the tutorial I got used to it though. All things considered, a fun and beautiful game!
Although this is not a platformer game, the art really reminded me of Celeste. Very enjoyable and surprisingly challenging, although loading took quite time for me (that's really not a problem though!!). Sound design is also wonderful! My best is 104.
