How does your game fit the theme?
After a countdown to start your new time machine, time instead freezes. You must time travel between the seconds of the countdown to reach the moment before you started the countdown and stop yourself from turning on the time machine in the past.

Nice puzzle and sdx are juicy. I love that others are also making Pico-8 games!

Developer

Thanks! This was my first game jam using Pico-8 (used Godot and Unity in the past) and I think I'll use it for many more game jams in the future!

thats nice to hear, Pico 8 is so fast and the constrains really help more than anything else.

The goal and instructions were a little bit confusing at first, but I was able to beat it! I like the sfx too, very satisfying! Nice little puzzle to solve :)

Thank you!

Just needs some proper polish and tutorial and it would be a great game. Enjoyed it nevertheless:)

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I wish I had been able to add a tutorial.

Really cute game! Though the puzzle is hard, it could offer a lower learning curve, but I enjoyed cracking it nevertheless!

Thanks for playing! I actually almost uploaded a version of the game that was even harder accidentally. Loved your game!

I agree with the rest that it was not very intuitive at start but once I understood the rules it became really fun to finish the game! Very good job on the artwork and sound, it looks and sounds very nice.

I had a lot o fun with this! It took a bit to figure out how things worked but it turned out to be a solid puzzle with a satisfying, albeit simple, solution.

I love love that the game made me use my mind and THINK on how to solve this. I see this as being part of a larger game. Cool game though !

The game is fun, feels good to play. But the rules are a bit hard to understand. If it had a good onboarding, it would be a great game.
First it takes some time to understand that you need to time travel with those chips (only number changes, so it's a bit hard to understand something changed), then you need to figure out you can take chips between seconds, and only after that you should understand what do you need to do to win.
Sure, rules are on the game page, but I feel like for a puzzle game it's an important task to set the expectations.

Thanks for the feedback!
