Ooh I really love the artwork on this game! The idea is given very detailed!
Hi! Thanks for all the kind words, I'm glad you liked it, thank you so much! :)
the artwork is so cool!! it reminds me of a game i was obsessed with as a kid, i love it!
Hi! Thanks for the artwork praise, I'm happy to have reminded you of that game, thank you so much! :)
for a very simple idea this is executed very well! wouldve liked some sort of tutorial beforehand, Great Job nonetheless!
Hi! Sounds good, I might add an in-game tutorial after the jam. Thank you so much! :)
I love the idea! The background changing over time as you get closer and closer to the pinnacle would be really cool, but other than that it's amazing! Great job!
Hi! That sounds like a really cool idea but currently there's actually no pinnacle and the game keeps going infinitely, but that still sounds like an awesome idea to consider. Thank you so much! :)
The game is very fun!! maybe a music in the background would have been nice
I really like the art and the choice of colors tho!!
hi from discord, i hope you reach ur goal:)
Hi! Sounds great, I'll be sure to add music after the jam. Thank you so much! :)
The artwork is good also the concept overall a great game
By the way if possible try my game
Hi! Sure, I'll try it. Thank you so much! :)
Adding an adaptive soundtrack depending on your oxygen level could really benefit the gameplay!!! If there were more factors such as extra boosts and handicaps (which could get REALLY creative), I would definitely consider this as S-tier :)
Thank you so much for your feedback, those sounds like good ideas. For the boosts and handicaps, I might add different levels with different mechanics, buffs, and nerfs. Thank you so much! :)
Pretty cool game! This game kinda reminds me of like the Doodle Jump era games. I do wish the game is a bit forgiving at the start tho (perhaps a smaller gap and it gets bigger as I go?). The aesthetic is really awesome and the audio is present but I do wish there is a bit more on the narrative side! Overall, I had fun with this one, great work!
Thank you so much for your feedback, that sounds like a good idea, I'll look into adding it after the jam, and possibly a narrative too but it might take a bit longer. Thank you so much! :)
Nice art, though I think some music would be nice. The gameplay could use some more elements in my opinion.
Thank you so much for your feedback, I was intending to add music in the jam build but I ran out of time so it'll have to be after the jam. Thank you so much! :)
I agree with what Pickle Jar Games posted about it needing more difficulty setting as I survived for quite a while without much challenge. Pretty fun though! And the level of polish is super good, esp if you're a solo dev! Very well done great entry!
Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words, I will make sure to make the game more difficult in a post-jam update. Thank you so much! :)
I love when the lil guy does his lil hops! (also did you make this solo? great work! GGs!)
Hi! Yes, I made this solo. Thank you so much! :)
This game is PEAK
Hi! I'm very glad that you enjoyed the game, thank you so much! :)
It's fun, but the movement is a bit tough to get the hang of. It gives me strong "early 2010s iphone game vibes", and I had a good time! Huge skill issue tho, I can't make it more than 40 seconds lmao
Thank you so much for your feedback, I understand your gripes with the movement, it was very hard to lock in movement that feels good without ruining the game, I'll have to tune it more. Thank you so much! :)
This is a nice little time, I just think it needs more difficulty scaling. Making the camera scroll faster, more frequent obstacles, more types of obstacles as you climb. It just seemed too easy to keep the run going. The sprites and sounds were simple but effective. I liked the presentation plenty, I just think the game needs more going on if you want to have an endless experience like this.
Maybe a rockslide that takes up an entire side of the screen for a few seconds? Something to pressure the player to stick to one wall and spend a bunch of stamina.
Also, a check so that birds can't spawn right where you're hanging would be a nice addition!
Still, as I said, what's here is very good!
Thank you so much for your feedback, these all sound like great ideas, I will make sure to add difficulty scaling in a post-jam update. Thank you so much! :)
I liked the visuals of the game, And i think the concept is really fun. I dont think it followed the theme that much, and the movement is a little boring,
Thank you so much for your feedback, I can see your complaint about the theme, I found it hard to think of a good idea, but I'd love to know why you think the movement is boring so I can improve it. Thank you so much! :)
Sorry i think boring was a bit much, i think i was recovering from the lack of sleep. I felt that may jumps from side to side were really similar every time, and i couldn't jump that much in the wall, like a same wall wall jump, although it let me go up a little. I just felt that i didn't have that much control over how to move, just the option to choose when to jump.
Also i think this game would benefit from a vertical screen, to see more up and be able to react to things more easily.
The art was lovely, It really made me think of climbing a mountain, my art development skills are really bad so I'm always amazed with what people can do with it.
Hi! Thanks for elaborating, I added the double jump as an attempt to add control to the movement but the movement will probably need more tweaking to make it feel good. For the same wall wall jump, that was a choice I made because I didn't want the player to just stick to a singular wall, I wanted them to jump between them. A vertical screen sounds like a good idea, I'll play around with it. Thank you so much! :)
I like it. It needs some adjustment with how level flows, maybe make it go faster when player reaches the top? However I like the idea of endless climbing game, cause being stuck to walls and so feels really good. Also pixel art is cute and lovely. With some extra work, I think it can be released as very good endless-type arcade game.
Thank you so much for your feedback, I like the idea of the speed becoming faster, I might add that in a post-jam update. Thank you so much! :)
