Punched in the face, wake up to a bomb strapped to my neck, then cool ass lion demands a milky bevvy. Best intro into a game of the jam and it's not even close! Kinda has almost an Undertale feeling of narrative, which speaks for itself!
Honestly great pixel art and sfx, loved the small animation details of the glasses filling, the gameplay-loop handed my ass to me at first, but felt good to eventually git good, reminded me a lot of one shift I did in a Coffee-Shop lol... love it!
Thank you so much!!! SO Glad you enjoyed it <3 Being compared to the Goat of cute funny stories is unbelievably nice of you haha. Thank you again!!!
Charming pixel art with a fun gameplay loop, I liked it. My complaints are that the pixel text font is pretty hard to read sometimes and starting over from the start when you fail is a bit punishing
Thank you so much!! Yeah unfortunately i didnt have time to refine the font, the b's especially are quite hard to read! I was planning to add checkpoints but ran outta time, much appreciated feedback! If i make a non-jam version they'll definitely address these <3
Cool game, I love the art specially the animals (as a fellow frog enjoyer I think the frog is so cute !). Underrated honestly, I think a web build would have helped.
Good job and good game.
Tysm! Yes i didnt realise gamemaker could export as a web build until AFTER the game jam ended hahaha. For sure would get more eyes on it. So glad you like the frog! She was hella fun to draw <3
Really fun vibe with all these characters! I found it pretty hard though but I enjoyed the complexity :3
tysm!! <3333
What a fun little adventure! I liked the part where there was a million other things. It'd be really cool to have an endless mode of this game, if so I'd definitely come back to it!
I hope you had a lot of fun making this and I'd love to see this become a full game of sorts! xoxo
ahh tysm!! Loved coding in that part, an endless is definitely on the list of stuff to do if i make a non-jam version!
The depth of objects was a little hard for me but maybe that was a skill diff, I kept putting the glass on the wrong spot for the milk, and thought the blender and the milk spot was the same thing, it felt like sometimes it would work, sometimes not, and then it felt unintuitive everytime I tried placing the glass in front of ingredient I was going to grab and it would snap somewhere else. BUT with all that said, once I learned where to go and what to do, pushed through the barrier of entry, I really enjoyed it, I actually have been weirdly craving these food service games through the jam, so thanks for feeding me. I loved your game! Would love to see more from you! Good job!
Thank you so much!! For both the lovely words and your feedback- stuff coulda been a lot more clear for directions(and the hitboxes are iffy for sure lmao), so i'll be sure to focus on that for future projects <3
This was utterly charming! I loved the guy who changed his mind halfway through as well, that's legitimately a great mechanic for this sort of game, really means you have to pay attention. And when the counter rolled back to show more I laughed out loud.
I'm assuming there's no way to get past the Kobold when he comes back? I kept messing up the cyan one I'm pretty sure so I wasn't sure if doing it perfectly got you further.
Well done!
The dastardly kobold punishes you if you get 2(i think, i was in a rush) wrong in a run. Maybe I accidentally coded it to be 1! He has a few more orders for you second time round, but you've played most of the game!
Thanks so much for playing, so glad you liked the gameplay! <3
I very well may have got 2 wrong each time, haha - is the frog's supposed to be mega shaken?
I love the art style! The pixel art is beyond cute. This is one of those games that is underrated because it doesn't have a web build.
The core gameplay is fun and forces you to optimize. A good time-killer with satisfying feedback. Props to a creative solo dev!
ahh thank you so much!! I uploaded far too late and didn't realise gamemaker had that option haha. Next jam i'll have to web build it!
Very fun and mildly stressful little game, I kept messing up the order and forgetting to blend the shake but it felt really satisfying to learn and get things done quicker with each attempt!! Also absolutely lovely art I enjoy these creatures very much
ahh thank you so much!! Glad you liked the creatures they were fun to make. If I ever make a full version it'll have a bit more feedback/tutorial stuff to make remembering the order easier! Glad you liked it <3
That was great! Fun little experience, decently challenging with an adorable art style!
Thank you so much!!!! <33333333
I wish I had this great character designs like yours in my game! They are super cool
aww bless! Love a good character design. If i ever make a full version ill be sure to flesh them out even more too!
Wonderful art style and the concept was hilarious! The game is a little challenging though. Definitely keeping this game in case I want to try and beat it later!
Ahh thank you so much! Yes i planned on adding checkpoints to allow for people to try the harder ones over and over but sadly ran out of time </3
So glad you liked it! Means a lot <3
