Strong concept. I liked the balance you created with timing and upgrades. Got to level 18. I don't mind endless games, but it's hard to create some end goal. All in all, loved the style and art. Some music would have been nice. Good job!

It's a very addictive game, and that's its main advantage. The game lacks music and volume controls. It would also be cool to add fire animation. Additionally, it would be beneficial to include more upgrades that can be randomly selected from a list of three options. However, overall, it's a good project that needs further development.

By the way, I would be happy. If you also played my game, this game about the snail race is very interesting in my opinion

Chill game and cute graphics, just missing some music

Review from a guy i made the game with:

Nice little game. Pretty chill and balanced in terms of upgrade priority.
I personally love these small projects with a simple idea but solid execution.
Shame there is no ending or music.

Really liked this one, managed to get to level 10 but the fire outpaced my Strong Log upgrades :'(

Did you perhaps forgot to normalize the velocity vector when vertical + horizontal both movement buttons are pressed? kinda felt that way.

It was better than what I expected. GGs

Developer

var direction := Input.get_vector(“A”, “D”, “W”, “S”) velocity = direction * GameManager.PlayerSpeed

These lines handle the character’s movement. As far as I understand, Input.get_vector normalizes this automatically. It says that the vector length is limited to 1.

This game was really fun. I enjoyed playing it and will probably play it again if it will have more content in the future. Great job.

If there was background music it would have been even more better but it was still fun to play as reached until 20 level before the fire burned out completely.

I've reached lvl21, it becomes actually challenging at some point!

The frog is cutie patootie :>

Maybe not the winner of the jam but a game jam game should be like this I think

Fun little game with very cute graphics :33

I think it could benefit a lot from some animations, even subtle ones! Same with music

I made it to level 20, the fire and upgrades are well balanced I think
