This is such a fun idea. The part where you're selecting a stat to reduce is a great idea very creative!

Interesting idea for a roguelike! I like decreasing number on enemies, and there's a good amount of choices to do on the world map. I maybe would've liked more variety in battle, since every fight was played with the same strategy and similar enemies. But it was a good concept to pull out in 4 days!
Here's the VOD (game is at 3:04:00)
Combat music really got me really engaged :D
Nice use of the countdown
Cool SFX and combat control! The game was really fun overall. Good luck for the jam :)
Very meaningful, fun little game, I loved how much impact you had on the combat. I think like we discussed main feedback is adding more ways for the player to succeed and break the boundaries you've set.
Loved the simplicity of this game, this experimental stuff is why I love game jams. Well done!
Super cool but I don't know if I was just bad but it really felt like the difficulty scaled way too quickly. The enemies would get powerful way more quickly than I could. Also it took me a while to figure out the main mechanic, although I'll admit it's a super cool mechanic and creates some really interesting decisions, although once you figure out the best decisions to make there's not much in it. A great foundation which potential, keep it up!
Thanks for checking out the game!
Nope, it was definitely not a case of you being bad, the game just isn't balanced in it's current state D:
One feature that helps combat this issue, is the ability to reduce how many enemies there are in the combat encounters. But since it's intentionally not made obvious that you can do that, it can be easy to miss :D
I plan on expanding on the idea and hopefully reach its full potential!
Fantastic game! I really struggled to get to the boss, but i very much enjoyed every second of it. On the first try i accidentally kept using the negative power on my on skills haha :-)
This is such an amazing take on the theme. Amazing concept, beautifully executed. The mechanics is very easy to pick up but it introduces so much depth. The art and the player onboarding could be worked on, and then with some more polish, I can see a release. Good sound design too. Great work!
This looks really fun! I can't seem to get the web build to show up properly, though: It looks like it might be oversized on the Itch page? I'll try again later on my larger monitor!
SLAY THE POOP WHO!!!! WE PLAY NEGATIVE POWER BABY!!!
In all seriousness I would love a full/polished release, this is super rad, keep making games!
It's a very unique concept, but I felt like the best move was pretty much always to reduce enemy attack damage and lots of the fights felt very similar.
This is insane you made it in 4 days, really interesting concept, This thing has got a lot of replayability.
The theme idea is really unique. I would've loved a few hand crafted combats, rather than creating a lot of random but really similar.
Thank you for checking out the game and giving feedback!
Yup, hand crafted combats would definitely be something I'd love to add. Will have to think about how to make it so that it merges well with the concept of reducing amount of enemies in combat :D
At the very least, there'll be a boss hand crafted combat but will see about cooking up some others.
