I got stuck with the first yarn ball, but I really liked the visual aesthetic of the game. Cheers!

Developer

Thank you ! You can hold E to throw the ball farther. We should probably have mentioned that in game…

I have gotten stuck on the introduction of the yarn ball but I had a delightful time getting shocked on the way there. I particularly enjoyed the tube-town connections between the levels and the opening of being just one test mouse in a giant pile making my way to the puzzle rooms. Very Portal-esk. Well done!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you ! The tube are indeed a reference (one of the many) to the Portal elevators. We couldn’t get a GlaDOS easter egg in though due to the no AI rule of the jam…

Very well put together. I played for quite a while but never got to the end. I will probably come back to this one. Very well thought out. Fits the theme very well. Visuals and audio are both fantastic. Well done game. Thanks for the entry!

very neat, it took me a minute to figure out that the electricity wasn't just death. I love the visuals! and the puzzles seemed well thought out. my favorite effect is the level transition.

The moment I saw that pipe at the beginning I had a nagging suspicion...

Cool game! It took me a bit to realize not every level needs to be beaten in 10s, what a relief! Here's hoping the mice evolve to harness the electricity yarn to get to the snack cabinet pronto.

i've fried... so many mice..... i'm a monster....

This was suchhhh a charming game, I adored the art style and the gameplay was really clever! I should definitely have checked the controls sooner as I got stuck on the first yarn ball room for an embarrassingly long time, but man, the cute little roll and kick animations were so worth the wait. I also love the extra little charm of getting differently-coloured mice between resets but having your same living mouse carry over if you make it -- little details like that do so much. I'll have to try a deathless run sometime soon to bring one mouse from the beginning to the end :') Really adorable game, I loved it!!

There’s a reward pending for the first person sending us a screenshot with Walter the white and pink mouse in the last room

I really liked the creativity behind this game. The concept is original, and the theme is integrated into the gameplay in a clever way. I also enjoyed the art style—it gives the game a lot of personality and fits the overall atmosphere really well. Great job!

Very nice platforming controls, the mice always went where I wanted, and didn't feel awkward in doing so

Developer(+2)

Are you really sure the mice nevel felt awkward ?

Submitted(+1)

The game play was really cool. The core move set (the powerlines and the balls) is very fun to use and creates opportunities for interesting puzzles. The theme is great as well with some awesome details like the mouse changing every time and the researchers mysteriously fighting in the background. A bit sad not to see a more conclusive end to the story, but otherwise a great game!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing and for your kind words ! You might have missed something in the last puzzle room that would have led you to the second (and good) ending. Hint : pay attention to what the protesters are doing in the background

Oh, wow! Thanks, will try that

I like it though I do wish some levels had some huger timers & the hold e was tutorialed. Overall really good. Feels like I’m playing a tom & jerry game playing as jerry

Amazing game guys. ᕙ(•̀ ᗜ •́  )!!. I have no more too say, I will be trying to complete all levels (which I am failing hard T-T) no matter what.

Nearly got my eye socket out with all the flashes. But finally DONE (TT~~~TT)

This was a clever little game with an adorable aesthetic! I like how the different mechanics of powering the platforms and shocking the mice get tied together with the countdown. Great way of making the theme prevalent throughout the whole level!

Amazing art and music! Love the level design too! Super polished game, insane that you guys made it in only four days

Submitted(+2)

Great game. I have no suggestion. You guys smashed it. Very polished :D Thank you for making this. Was any mice harmed in the making of this? :D

Developer(+1)

Only ours during the last minute bug fixes

Submitted(+1)

Very cute and cruel game, loved it! Better not being attached to one mouse haha

Submitted(+1)

Having the mice switch after each failed attempt is diabolical!
still, loved pretty much everything. insane to think this level of polish is achievable in only four days!

Developer

Thank you ! this was actually a last day implementation we thought would be funny and given everyone’s reaction so far it seems to have become a load-bearing feature of the game ! Thank you for playing !

I still love the art so much! I really enjoyed it.

Developer(+1)

Hey ! So happy seeing you back here ! Thank you :)

Submitted(+2)

Amazing art, love the polish for this game, great job!

A bit confused on the controls but once I figured them out it was very fun. The general audio design was particularly well done. Also, the first time I died I let out a sad chuckle when I saw a different colored mouse came out haha made the death a little sadder. Great puzzle game!

Developer

Thank you, especially for pointing out the sound design because i swear to god browsing freesounds.org to find the perfect mp3 of footsteps on metal is the most excruciating thing on earth !

Regarding the color change on the mouse, another fun little detail people might miss is that the number of live mice you’ll see at the end of the game is directly linked with the amount that died in the test chambers ! Yay !
