Very spooky! ⚰️
I didn't solve the mystery, but I had fun exploring the rooms. The environment graphics look great! I thought player movement was a little slow, though.  I was playing the web version.

There was one 'glowing' object in the library that I wasn't able to interact with.

Developer(+1)

There's a puzzle to solve in the library that lowers the glass and allows you to take the item. Thank you for playing!

this is really really good. i especially loved the character controller and the level design. if i could add one note, it would be to make the footstep audio sync up with the walking animation such that it feels realistic to walk because the audio inconsistency kept tripping me up lmao.

Resident evil :0 I like it! The atmosphere and the visuals are almost perfect, but man I know Count Dracula ain't a lights guy, but he really needs more light fixtures in this place haha. I want more of this!! Very cool :D

I'm a big fan of old-school Resident Evil, and the tank controller is excellent. However, some of the camera angles are unlucky and it's difficult to understand the rotation.

i'm a sucker for a good survival horror game with tank controls, and fixed angles

this was pretty solid, but would have liked some small polish like the interact prompts showing what key to use

One of the best and most immersive athmospheres of the jam, and the graphics and tank controls really take you back to the golden era of point and clicks. Everything was very dark, so it took some effort to find a couple doors, but awesome otherwise!

I really like the vibes it reminds me of resident evil. The character movement were a little challenging, and the lighting was a bit dark, but other than that, I really enjoyed it. Great work!

Unfortunately the game doesn't load for me, it completely freezes my browser tab.

Developer

That;s unfortunate, I don't know why it wouldn't load. If you have the time you could try the windows build - that's the best version anyway.

I adore this RE1 style and ambience, you've captured it REALLY well, like down to the tank controls and everything. That alone is a crazy achievement, develop on this further and you'd have an amazing game. Im excited to see more on this.

I like the vibes and ambience, but I couldn't get far. I found a note about a shelf but I can't progress because all doors are locked. I am confused.

Pretty cool seeing a ps1 player controller style game on here. I really like your art style!

Submitted(+1)

We should have more games in that style!

I love how atmospheric this game is, the rain sounds, the clock sounds. And yeah, the nostalgic playstation era aesthetic.

Submitted(+1)

The res-evil  aesthetic is sick! I'm always impressed by 3d games in these game jams!

Submitted(+1)

i ran out of evilness while playing this game so now im resident kind

Submitted(+1)

I love the resident evil vibe, although the movement could be smoother, the main issue i was having is the game is too dark and the glow is so small that it takes me 2 or 3 times to find out the things

Developer

I will add brightness settings in post jam version and adjust the glow to make it easier to find stuff. Thank you for your feedback!

The room and vibe is so good, the camera also remind me of old RE game. The movement is quite hard to navigate around but I can deal with that. Though the main problem for me is that the map are a little too dark. Without any light source on your characters at all and fixed camera, I sometime lost track of where my character is lol.

Developer

Adding brightness/gamma settings would help a lot, I will look into that for the post jam version. There are also a few blind spots and It's my fault, sorry. Thanks for the feedback!

This has been my favorite so far! I LOVE the vibe. I'm super happy to see that someone also chose the weird eerie & eerie route. The character felt very unintuitive to control, and it was often too dark to see, so much so that I would lose my character. But even still, my biggest complaint is that there wasn't more. This is super cool.

Developer

There are some blind spots with how the cameras are placed, sorry for that. I will try to add a brightness/gamma slider so people can adjust it for their liking. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

Hope I can see the vampire in the future!! I like the camera angles, they bring back memories of old RE. I enjoyed my time. Some camera angles made me get stuck on things, for example, the collision with the pillars when getting out of the church, but maybe it was due to my screen gamma. With more time i can see  some vampire-related events and environmental narration, it could be a really cool short game.

Developer(+1)

The vampire along with time mechanic for his awakening will be implemented in post jam version. I plan to expand the game a little and implement all the things that didn't make it for the jam release due to time limit and me being bad at managing it. As for the church camera, it is badly placed and creates a blind spot, that's my fault. I need to look into implementing a brightness or a gamma slider too. Thank you for playing and for all the feedback! I hope to see your game expanded too!

Would it be possible to add an option to click on the floor to move? I struggle to move smoothly while the camera is shifting.

Developer

Click to move wouldn't really work here with the fixed cameras. But I admit that some of the camera transitions and their placement are bad. That's my fault. Thanks for playing!
