How does your game fit the theme?
You must prepare for a scheduled rocket launch before the countdown reaches zero. Fuel the rocket, clear the sky and evacuate the worker to a safe location. Once all preparations are complete, press the launch button to initiate liftoff. If you run out of time, the launch is scrubbed.

Nifty!! I liked the timeline at the bottom, satisfying!

Developer

Thanks, buddy! Very glad you liked it! :)

I was a bit confused at first finding which objects are clickable, but once I figured that out it just felt natural to do all the checklist. Nice graphics, reminds me a lot of the old pc games back in the commodore amiga days. I can really see this concept be expanded, big kudos!

Developer

I’m really glad you figured out how it works and gave the game another try! Thank you so much for your kind words! :)

I wish there was more of this, because this is a really neat structure for a game! The art style and perspective are interesting; they make it feel like I’m playing with miniatures or something. A more involved version of this, maybe with light puzzles of some kind, could be really fun, though as-is this game feels more like a proof-of-concept than a full experience.

Developer

Thank you! It makes me really happy to hear that you liked my game idea! :D

I really liked how the isometric perspective turned out and how it gave the feeling of playing with miniatures. I wanted more of a 3D perspective without having to create 3D models for the jam, so this felt like an interesting direction to explore. I’m currently thinking about how I could make more use of placing the workers on different spots to progress tasks! :)

I like the added complication of each objective needing to be finished at different times, that's pretty unique. Although I'm not sure how mission control is supposed to be responsible for moving the clouds in the sky out of the way, haha. Good game, just needs some audio and maybe a little bit more visual flair.

Developer

Thank you! :) Weather is usually unpredictable, so I thought it would be nice to give the player a bit more control over it. The original idea was that you would get a weather forecast at the beginning and have to guess which timing would be best for the launch. After that, the clouds would slowly move to the left over time.

I didn't have much time to fully work out this idea and it could have been quite frustrating if you missed the timing and wasted the whole launch, so a little active control felt like the better solution for now. :D

The game is really cool, however it would be nice to have background music for immersion and SFX as indicators that something is happening. But overall fun game

Developer

Thank you so much! Happy you enjoyed the game! Audio feedback is definitely something I would love to add. :)

Even thought it's short, the concept is actually cool! I wish there had been more preparations, but still a great game :D

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! I'm really happy you enjoyed it. :)

Perfect jam lenght, fun and polished! I found out i'm not too good at launching rockets but that's just a skill issue, awesome work!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much! :) Those were exactly the things I hoped to achieve with this little prototype. It still needs a bit more guidance and feedback, but I hope the "How to Play" section in the description helps for now and you’ll be launching rockets in no time!
Thanks for checking it out and leaving your feedback! :D

Hey, this is pretty sweet. The isometric art looks quite nice and I like the premise too! Definitely would love to have more tasks to do too.

Developer

Thank you so much! :) I'm really glad you liked the game idea and the art style!

Love the concept. It's a pity that it has only "couple of" tasks, although, on first attempt I felt a little bit of a time pressure. Keep it up! :)

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! :) I’m glad to hear that the countdown added some kind of pressure. After a lot of testing I was worried there would be too much time left and the game would become too easy, but it seems like I found a good sweet spot where players can still figure out what to do. :D

Submitted(+1)

the visual performance of the game is well-polished. congratulations for your first attempt in gamejam

Developer

Thank you so much for the compliment! I really appreciate it! :)

I love the art in this! It reminds me a bit of Portal's level posters for some reason XD

Developer

Thank you! :) I absolutely adore the Portal games, so I guess some inspiration sneaked into the facility design, especially with the little workers celebrating at the end. I definitely can't complain! ^^

A really simple and effective game, I really enjoyed it ! Made me think of the "Grow" flash games where you had to think of the order on how to do things :) really nice

Developer

Thank you so much! :) Did the fuel container remind you of them? :D The idea of having to think about the order of tasks was definitely something I had in mind. I would have loved to add more tasks that take some time and turn it more into a time management and decision-making game, where getting a successful launch is more challenging.

Fun little game, the workers jumping in the end to celebrate their success was a nice touch :D

In the first loop I failed, not knowing what all I have to do, but then later learnt, it was confusing what fuelling / stop fuelling meant, some kind of feedback would have been great for each of the tasks, may be a task list at side and checking off, nonetheless it was fun

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! :) I’m glad you liked the celebration at the end!

I already added some arrows to guide the player in the right direction for dragging, but I agree that more guidance for the tasks themselves is missing. Highlighting the current objectives in the timeline and showing which objects need to be moved would make the tasks clearer. Thank you for the valuable feedback!

Cute little game, and I love the thematic! It would be interesting to have some random events you need to act fast to solve as well! Nevertheless, congrats on the game!

Developer(+1)

Glad you found and enjoyed the game! :) Random events are a great idea and would definitely add more replay value. Thank you for your feedback! :D

Really liked the art style. The game was short and simple but still pretty fun. I do agree with some of the other comments about having some audio, I think even just adding some free sound effects could enhance this a lot

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I'm really happy you enjoyed it. :) I definitely agree, some audio would have added a lot!

Submitted(+1)

Congrats on  your first game jam projecct! Short and simple, some audio would have greatly enhanced this!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! The jam just randomly appeared in my feed and I was really excited to try making something. At the same time I wasn’t sure if I could finish something interesting in such a short time. I’m really happy I managed to make it and receive such generous feedback! :)

Cool small game, pretty nice art

Developer

Thanks for playing! Great to hear you liked the art style! :)

Very interesting and cool game. I really like the art style, it was clear and little animations were fun.  Evacuating the workers was the real challenge because they were so many and so small, but it was a fun challenge. Would've been nice if there was more feedback when a preparation was complete but it still had enough for a jam game. Some audio would be great.
Great work...keep it up!

Developer

I'm really happy you enjoyed the game and liked the visuals! :) I'd love to add more feedback and sound effects if I continue working on it. Thanks for the valuable suggestions!

Cute game! The UX was nice and clean and I was impressed by how elegantly it told us how to progress. I love how crisp the art is, and the people jumping with joy at the end was a nice touch. Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. :) I spent quite a bit of time polishing the transitions and experimenting with the start menu and task layout, so I'm really glad you noticed those little details! :D

I am fired as the mission coordinator :C

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Oh no, what happened? :/ Did you try to press the launch button before the countdown ran out?
