This is a really creative game! I do think it would've been better if the game showed you exactly how the character moved, because I didn't even realize exactly how it worked until I started writing this review (maybe some kind of particle or animation once the movement timers hit 0). Either way, for a game made in only half the time, this has a lot of potential!

Really cool concept, I don't think I've seen anything quite like this in the entire jam, the array shifting idea is cool but hard to wrap your head around without some extra visuals or some way of tracking the numbers and how they shifted. It took me wayyyy too long to figure out that they're wrapping around themselves, and I might be getting hands-diffed but I struggled with getting the square to move how I wanted, the dash always going to the right even with left triggering at the same time felt weird, I think there's potential here for a better game but with 48 hours I feel you, its a pretty good one regardless (so I ain't holding that against the rating)

Very cool and creative idea!

How did you design the levels/timers? Was it just trial and error? I wonder if that could be a potential game mode. Where you get a list predetermined timers each level and you must arrange them on the grid before playing, tweaking the layout as you play through trial and error.

Had a lot of fun beating it, great job!

Developer

Sometimes I had an idea like with the second level where there is one way you can move it to move left but then you have to move the grid back so you can go right. Others I just used trial and error.

Really creative puzzle-platformer! It took me a little while to understand the mechanics, but once it clicked, solving the puzzles was really satisfying. Great concept!

At first, i didn't understand exactly how moving the arrays worked, maybe because i'm dumb, but once i figured it out, i fell in love with how clever is the idea!

Hard to master but good concept! Good job :)

I love this concept, very very unique! This might be the most creative project I've seen so far in this jam! The only thing holding it back is that it's a little unintuitive, and the timers get desynced after a while which makes the puzzles feel a bit off. I think it might be easier to understand if the numbers that moved around in the matrix only showed the maximum cooldown of that cell, then the timer was displayed as a bar beneath it? I think that would more clearly show that you're moving around both the maximum cooldown of each cell and its current amount, and it would let you see both at the same time which would make strategizing more intuitive. But still a really really great project, I also loved the visuals and audio that went along with it!

thanks for the feedback I did notice in development that they got desynced but it seemed to disconnected at different times. Displaying the cooldown over the timer was something I wanted to do but couldn’t think of a way to do it in the time that I had to work on this project.

A bit fiddly but very original idea

A cool idea! Frustrating but very satisfying once you nail it down. The use of sound really sets the vibe too, nice one!

This is really cool - and I mean really cool. It's also mind melting in a way I didn't know a game could be. That's awesome.

Interesting use of timers, got a hang of it as I kept playing.

Really interesting game! Maybe I did something wrong but its really hard too
It got my creative juices flowing, maybe matrix multiplication or rotation can fit in here too in some way

This is a really interesting concept. I think I am a little bit too dumb for it. I wish there was a level where 1 of the 4 abilities was introduced at a time so I could get the hang of it.

Also that jump sound is way way way too loud. Really hurt my ears!

Developer

I tired to turn it down in development because it was even louder at that point but obviously I didnt turn it down enough. Also the consensus is that tutorial type stages are needed.

Great idea and execution. As you know, it needs a ton of fine tuning and someone else commented that it would benefit greatly from a tutorial (introducing one action at a time). Still, very good job.

Very fun !!! I don't think it's fully clicked for me yet but when I manage to solve a puzzle it feels incredibly euphoric. Really great concept and execution!

This is the most creative platformer I've played in this jam so far, and by a lot. I never would have thought of controlling a platforming character with relays, that's so clever! It took a level or two for it to click but once it did I had an absolute blast, fantastic work!

Nice concept. After several tries I managed to make it go in the direction I wanted, but it takes time. A tutorial level would be a good addion, start the tutorial with on ly one direction to make the user understand the pattern.

Really neat idea, but definitely took me a while to figure out. Felt like a very complex rhythm/puzzle game, so solving things was pretty satisfying, but then again, I found myself solving some of them without knowing what I was doing haha. Overall, really cool, and definitely creative!

Developer(+1)

Yeah near the end some of the puzzles I couldnt think of anything so I randomly selected the numbers and looked if I could make it (:

Submitted

A very creative premise. Could not figure out how to control the character consistently though.

Submitted

It's an interesting concept, but I don't understand how to play.
