Love the art style and aesthetic! The sheep are super cute. I think there could be better feedback when sheep get killed, to make you feel it more?

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, the biggest problem concerns the programming of the sounds effect, we ran out of time to correct them, they will be fixed for a v2 after the jam :p

I couldn't handle the hard room, but I was able to *grind* out the easy room a few times!

Developer

Thanks for playing!
Yes, the balance isn’t great that’s one of the main things we want to fix.

the look of this game is beautiful. I love the art direction. It’s a simple concept but very well executed and polished. I feel like this is one of those games you could expand on the core gameplay and do a full game with different types of rooms and mechanics for the sheep. But gosh darn, the sheep are so cute and so is the star so it almost feels wrong to sacrifice them haha.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

We plan to release a more polished and fixed version after the game jam. However, we won’t make it much longer — just better balanced to avoid players finishing the game in less than five minutes.

I love this game so much! The art, the music, and the gameplay all absolutely amazing! 10/10 game

Developer

Thanks for playing!

And thanks for the 10/10! We’re still going to release a more polished version, though, because we’re not completely happy with the final result  it’s missing some juiciness.

The sheep are so cute...WAIT, WAIT a second. Haha, ^^ this really took me off guard. I really love the artwork in particular. Fantastic work!!

Developer

Thank you very much for playing!

If you’ve finished the game, it means you were brave enough to sacrifice that cute little sheep. What a cruel thing to do !

Submitted(+2)

Really fun game to play! The artwork is AMAZING and this in such a short time... well done! :D

...also, poor sheep! :(

Congrats!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

There were five of us on the team, which is why we were able to achieve so much in such a short time. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to make the game as juicy as we wanted it to be

I DON'T WANT TO SACRIFICE MY SHEEP!!??! NOOOOO!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for playing!

You’re one to talk  you’re turning your sheep into black holes

Submitted(+2)

Great graphics and atmosphere! Sorry for the sheeps tho  Ꮚ°ꈊ°;Ꮚ

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing!

Don’t worry about the sheep as long as your final flock is bigger than the one you started with, right ?

Dude, I don’t understand why you’re not in the top charts! Huge thanks for reviewing our game and leaving a comment. Your game is insanely cool from A to Z: sound, music, gameplay — I’m just blown away, honestly. It’s really a worthy piece of work, I really liked it!

Developer

Thank you very much!

It's also worth saying that there are plenty of games that deserve much more attention.
I've only played 36 games so far, and I can already say that some of them really deserve more visibility.

Really good concept, I loved the idea of the sheeps, the movement was well done. The art style is the best part of the game and having a costume mouse pointer was a huge plus. Anyways great game!!

Developer

Thanks for playing!!!

I won’t tell you that for three-quarters of the development process, there simply wasn’t a cursor. I had to make do with a debug version.
It was only towards the end that we added the star x)

This game is really well executed (not an intended pun!) Not sure if you intended to show the contrast between the bleak slaughterhouse and open fields, but I think you pulled it off! The sheepies are very cute and I was definitely emotionally invested in saving them. Also lamb is delicious. Great game!

Developer

Thank you so much!!!
Yes, that contrast was definitely intentional the drastic change in music, atmosphere, and post-processing, as well as the change in directional lighting between the two environments, were all meant to emphasise it.
And what do you mean? The lamb is delicious... Well, at least nothing goes to waste.

Submitted

I think I was playing it too late at night, on the one hand I felt very bad about sending the sheep to their death, on the other hand lamb is delicious... again, well done!

Found the controls a bit janky (could just by my internet) but overall really cool!

Discovering that the left-over sheep get to stay in a beautiful meadow meant I had to try again.... and again... and again...

Excellent jam entry :)

Developer

Thank you for testing the game!

I see what you mean. I've already noticed this issue myself, although on the Windows version. I'm not entirely sure what's causing it, since most of the time it works perfectly. My best guess is that it has something to do with how I'm processing the mouse delta.
If I were to remake the game, I'd probably get rid of the star system altogether and use the mouse directly instead of locking it to the star. I think that would feel more intuitive and would probably avoid a lot of these issues.

And thank you for giving the game another try to save the sheep!

Submitted(+3)

Game was fun to play concept is very addictive walking around with sheeps and trying to save the most you can lol

Developer

Thanks for playing!

You say you tried to save them, but your sheep kill count tells a different story...

Submitted(+3)

Cool game, really like the art.

Submitted(+2)

im the worst shepherd in the world..... but clever concept!! i really love the art style amazing job!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Don’t say that the sheep were the ones who decided to follow you. They knew the risks.

Need more horde-movement games in my life. A little morbid, but that's fine. I wish there were more levels or a higher number of sheep we needed to get through, since I did hard mode and had my flock multiply a couple of times and then that was enough. Good use of the count down to mean both sheep remaining, sheep sacrificed and the count down to survive. Art style was consistent and the horde movement worked well and was responsive. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

It’s true that seeing all those sheep blindly follow that little star is satisfying. That was the first thing we coded, and it immediately confirmed that we were heading in the right direction!

Initially, we came up with the countdown idea around managing the sheep resource, and the other countdowns survival time and sacrifice gates came later. That really reassured us that we were on the right track with the theme.

We really racked our brains to come up with a game concept that would fit the theme well.

Those poor poor sheep I only saved 4 in the end, really cute art and simple yet challenging on hard mode

Developer

Thank you for playing!
As long as the herd is alive, it can recover.

First time i saw a shuriken  i was ok, the 2nd time it stalked me around the room, as i expected it to in a circle D:

Developer

Thanks so much for playing!!!
I had a good laugh reading your comment x)
The worst part is when the shuriken corners you it can wipe out your whole herd.

Submitted(+2)

Great game, mildly disturbing, but still really enjoyable ;)

The nice art style was an unexpected contrast to the actual gameplay xD

Well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing!
Just goes to show that killing sheep with a saw can be rewarding.
