I do enjoy some chaos in my games. This one was fun because of that, ahaha. I liked all the different stuff that happens and you need to keep track of. Really a stressful game, in a positive way.

Here's the VOD (game is at 0:03:00)

I was trying to cross the last crosswalk, and it started lagging like crazy (after I scrolled),
But before that, it was great!
Such a crazy chaos, whilst you're just like: leave me alone, I need to get to work.
Love that there is no dash,  just walking at a nice normal speed !

We are crosswalking in the middle of chaos with this one

This game was hilarious and fun! I like how whenever you finish crosswalking, it gets crazier when you try to crosswalk to the next level. Great job!

Fun game! The cars are very OP, and end the vast majority of my runs, especially once the map gets larger.

This games pretty funny, kinda reminds me of old-school webgames.

Very cool game!! I had to give 100% attention to complete the game. Had alot of fun playing it! <3

The crosswalk timer is a very good take on the countdown theme! I got to the last (?) level with 30+ seconds to cross and the game just lagged the heck out and I couldn't complete the level. I had a few normal tries but then it just started lagging and spinning my fans really badly. I would have loved a button to hop back or forward if, for example a car comes running out  the side while you're right in front of it and don't have time with the walk speed to make it one way or the other. Otherwise, great entry!

From my testing it is always possible to dodge the cars if you react quick enough, but I understand it's way more difficult than I intended. And sorry about the lag - a lot of people have been experiencing it, and unfortunately I couldn't fix it in time. Thanks for playing though!

That's how game jams do be, isn't it? No worries, the point came across and I was stubborn enough to try to push through it for at least a while haha! I think with enough practice I'd be able to dodge those cars too, but it would take a lot more of that practice and knowing the timing more precisely to do so. Great for a longer game, harder for the average audience in a shorter one definitely.

I love the look of the timer! Fits the game very well :) It’s a fun game and challenging game. Good job on that!

Some things I would’ve liked to see:

  • The car telegraphing is a bit hard to see, the cars come in quickly and the telegraphing only being at the very sides makes it difficult to dodge.
  • I would love another movement ability, maybe a short dash or a quick spring? or a jump to jump over cars? Just something else I can utilize

Fun game in general!

This was exactly how I remember heading back to school!
The music and sounds that you picked were perfect for this game, and I like the assets that you used, great game!

Thanks for trying it out anyway - could you describe in more detail why you couldn’t play it for very long? I’ll be sure to check out your entry when I have time.

Submitted

I think the idea is really great, but I couldn't play for very long because, at a certain point, I couldn't get across the street anymore. Still, it was fun, and that’s the most important thing. Thanks for wanting to try out my game.

it's so overly chaotic i cannot xD

great game!

Great telegraphing via visuals and sounds. Not a lot of that in these game jams games.
Progression felt great, anxiety was getting higher and higher every round. Loved watching zombies get obliterated by cars, meteors, and cracks.

Funny concept, I enjoyed it a lot. The cars are absolutely brutal. Final level seemed impossible at first but if you take it slow it's not that bad. Had a lot of fun with this one. Good work on your submission!

Impressive work for a game made with Scratch, and a very unique take on the theme. I like how you added fitting indicators and sound effects for everything, made the game feel really polished.

That last level is brutal.

this game is literally that one spiderman meme where he;s just walking all sad with all the chaos around him. was a fun game and pretty easy until the last level where my laptop really started lagging
