Easy mechanic but takes some time to understand and master! A very well-polished game, and I liked the artwork and music of the game!

Developer

Thanks for your effort! Oh yes, steering requires mastery - but you can also use "show predicted trajectory" in settings - it gets a bit easier. I'm glad you liked the art!

Submitted

I found it a bit confusing at first, but then did understand the game, and still sucked at it.... but cool artwork i must say

Developer

I still hope that dying in space was a good and relaxing experience xD Btw try to enable "show predicted trajectory" in settings - it makes steering easier.  Good luck with parallel worlds discovery!

Beautiful art, love the colors combinations and the simplicity of it - clean and calming. Sounds fit perfectly with the gameplay, which itself is a lot of fun - seems easy, but it is a bit tricky and rewarding. Very polished experience, well tested! :) Congrats on such a successful first release, especially a game jam one!

Developer

thank you so much! it was just the two of us, so hearing it all feels like one piece is so good. "seems easy but it's a bit tricky" - you've just written our tagline :)

Navigating through space was pretty fun and the art is good.

The hidden level is a nice touch, though I’ve only been able to find one.

Would love to see more mechanisms at play though, and I seem to have passed the levels only through trial-and-error.

Developer

Wow congrats on unlocking a parallel world! You are in top players in this game!

15 mil km traveled 🚀 Absolutely amazing art direction and really unique concept! Loved the other worlds. (Funnily enough I sort of encountered the entry point multiple times, but never actually entered it by myself. Only did so after wondering how people got to that high of a distance traveled and reading the about section 😅)

Developer(+1)

15M is a serious run, congrats! I see only two buckets in the leaderboard - either almost minimum or awesome scores like yours (that required a lot of time to master the rocket navigation). Welcome to the orbital mechanics club! :D
I am glad the other worlds were worth the effort :)

this is the type of game that would randomly get popular because of some random making a video essay or something (complimentary)

Developer

Wow that is a REALLY nice comment! Thank you, now I see it was worth the grind.
Virality is a lottery, we won't get that lucky. It is enough to bring some fun to smaller audience :) Thank you for discovering our game!

Very cool game, visuals and audio are very well done,  I really liked the rocket trail effect. Parallel universes introducing new gameplay was neat as well.

Developer

Thank you! The rocket trail is secretly a fluid simulation. This is also the reason the game lags on older hardware :D
Congrats on discovering parallel universes - either you are good at orbital mechanics (maybe KSP?) or you devoted a lot of time to master it in our game. I am so happy our game found a good audience like you :)

Short but charming experience. The audio and sound design makes it a very relaxing game to play despite all the crashing into meteor!

Developer

It is actually very long - it is not about the escape :) Try unlocking parallel words! :D It is all about hidden content.

Submitted

Really? I will get back into it in a moment!

Developer

:D Thank you!

Really creative game! I liked seeing the different universes.

Developer

Wow congrats on finding them! Most players don't notce them. So glad :D

Here's my review:

Very cute and charming experience, I especially liked the fluid sim, even tho it lagged a bit (I have also tried it without it). Steering the ship by clicking with the mouse is a good way to do it imo, I just wish it was a bit more responsive (I often lost myself in space for that) tho this is a minor problem for me (might also just be skill issue on my side tbh). The audio is also good, I think the soft electric piano notes work way better than a normal spaceship engine noise would, also the sound design fits well with the overall chill dreamy theme.

I can't say this enough but congratz for the fluid simulation, that's sick!

This was all I had to say, overall a very good entry, good luck :)

This is a really special game. And I can still see a few question marks on the map for discoveries I haven't made yet.

I'm so so glad I went into this blind and didn't see the screenshots before I played, so I didn't really know what to expect and wasn't spoiled by the secrets, I just knew I should explore from the description.

My first run I was just feeling out the controls and pretty much made a bee-line across the map as directly as possible, and after getting my bearings, I went in again. This time I found black holes, a parallel universe and some mean butterfly's that chased me when I got too close!

I've already spoken with you both briefly on Discord, but I think having these little discoveries are so rewarding. Granted, many players will speed run through and miss many of the things you've worked so hard on, but they were going to do that anyway. This way, the people that are really engaged with your work, get all these bonus discoveries.

I'm a big fan of KSP, so naturally I was hoping for MechJeb and my manoeuvre gizmos that I have become ever so reliant on over the years. But alas, I guess we're doing it the old-fashioned way. Out of curiosity, do you know if there are any Lagrange points where you can get into an infinite / stable position without  using any fuel? I feel like I was nearly able to find one in a zone with 2 binary systems, but I couldn't quite get it stable.

I did have some performance issues, even with the GPU fluid effect turned off, but as I understand it, the performance patch is coming post-jam which is great.

I realise I've only spoken about mechanics and design, so let's speed run the rest:

  • Visuals - STUNNING
  • Sounds - MELLIFLUOUS
  • Vibes - IMMACULATE

Thank you, thank you. Absolutely wonderful game.

This game is insanely cool, I can't believe I have never saw this before. The sound, the art, the vibe, the JUICE it's all very very good. I also love the concept of discovering new areas if you manage to stay in a system enough. As someone who spent nearly a thousand hours in KSP, this is so satisfying. I don't like to linger on a game for too long, but I will definitely come back! Great work!

A full 5/5 all over game.

I wish I could give you feedback but there is none sowwy :(

Developer(+1)

a 5/5 with no notes?? best kind of feedback honestly :D thank you so much!

Submitted

Extremely pleasing to look at and sounds effects are perfect!

Developer

I could say the same about your game which is a master piece - probably my favorite this jam.
Thank you for the review!

Submitted

Very well made. Really reminds me of KSP and I love the theme interpretation! Only thing is that it was really laggy when I played it from my old laptop. When I switched it was smooth tho, so I dont think its the game's issue.

Developer

KSP is the main inspiration here indeed! Thank you for making the effort to play the game! We will ship the performance fix after the jam.

Submitted

This game is so beautiful and smooth, and the sound effects are amazing too!

It was frustrating (in a very fun way!!!) trying to open black holes to other systems but when I could, it felt so satsifying!! Didn't realize there were other paths until I randomly found myself in the red area at one point!! THE AUDIO IS SO AWESOME I LOVE IT SO MUCHHH

Developer

I'm so glad you found it! Congratulations you are one of few who managed to see other worlds xD

Submitted

The music and the graphics are beautiful! Very well done. Thank you for making this. I played for like 15 min :D where do I find the other systems? I tried like looping each planet and then going through. I went up and down XD Is it obvious?

Developer(+1)

It's designed in a way that when you get better at this and improve your score the game will unfold ;) You can try enabling flight path drawing  in options it helps a bit, and also play in fullscreen, this way it should be easier to notice things :D

Submitted

Interesting flight mechanics, quite fresh and unusual. Captivating.

Submitted

wow thats such a great game! i love this mechanic very much and the art represents such a beautiful and  polished  vibe. i love that the sfx of my click changes but didnt think it was necessary for the menü buttons? it threw me off at the beginning but then I got it after playing but still. really cool idea and execution, really hope you can fix the webbuild with the lag its such a pity.
