Interesting take on mixing countdown with typing mechanic!

Great Game! and such a cool way to utilize typing mechanic!
So much fun to stream and get to showcase live! It reminded me a bit of dispatch too! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

A lot to worry about, from calls to fire hazards, to medical needs, to police involvement. Really interesting game mechanic, considering it’s also a typing game! Great job!

Very smart typing game. The VO is also amazing even with different voice actors.

The gameplay is addictive once you are getting in a flow. Great Entry!

Super addictive. Love the command-line style controls, feels like using a console. The art is beautiful too, and the sound effects are really satisfying — especially the keyboard clicks, they're great.

Thanks!

The one thing i loved the most about this game are the sfx they are super satisfying and fit perfectly with the kind of vibe u went for i also loved the art and the city design u made and the mechanics are great, my only mini critique is that some text are hard to read specially cause they some of them are rotated in a specific angle so i had to tilt my head to read it, but overall one of my favorites in the jam great job!

the sounds are very satisfying, typing feels great, the art being sleek is cool, and the actual gameplay is rewarding when you manage to get everyone saved

I also really really like the time travel implications near the end, and it being potentially about Y2K being averted, that's awesome

Thank you! I like your game, too.

Submitted

hey, thanks!

I liked the concept! It was quite a novel typing game.

Few things I wished:

1) I wish the visibility on the text was a bit better. I got stuck when the yellow vehicle was on the top left corner, since I couldn't figure out what to type

2) Maybe real words could be helpful instead of some fake words? At times it was hard to figure out differences between the letter D and O.

Overall, did like the concept and cool that you can do so much through typing!

All feedback is gold and will be applied, thank you!

One of my favorite games in the jam so far! I'm a sucker for typing games and the theme on this one is just fantastic. The frantic feeling of keying in destinations really feels like I'm desperate to direct the emergency services correctly and making mistakes due to pressure.

So much fun! :) Great job. Can't wait to come back and play more when the jam is over.

Developer

Thank you very much!

This is an absolute gem in this jam! Everything is perfect, love love this "technical" games ˜just type the word to dispatch. Also reminds me of graph theory from undergrad days hehe

I wish I could give more stars for enjoyment. I love maps and typing so of course this was perfect. For me, the typing difficulty was great: on hard the street names were very doable but challenging since they didn’t follow regular English-language patterns (ie yewworthwic) but since they’re longer on the higher difficulties the names were frequently obscured by my units. If I remembered the street it was a fun Memory Moment, otherwise I either guessed (“-ew is probably yew”) or moved the unit if it was free. I wonder if inability to clear queue is an intentional balance choice or just an omission for time.

Please consider continuing to work on this after the jam (if you want to/are able to, etc etc). I would spend hours playing.

Developer

Yes, that's one of the aspects I'll be working on. Thank you for the feedback.

Really nice game, had a blast, if only the ui for the names were a bit better, then this would be about 5-4 star all around for Mav. Really fun experience, only slightly hindered by some overlaping of words.

Developer

good feedback, it will be fixed.

This is one of my favorit so far on this jam. The whole thing feels right. The visuals, the sounds, everything. Good colors, clean interface. I really feel like I'm on a night shift. Well done!
