How does your game fit the theme?
The countdown is the player's life. Time constantly moves toward zero, while defeating zombies earns back precious seconds. To survive, the player must keep fighting and extend their borrowed time before the clock runs out.

Fun and really well polished! Really great work :)

Very fun! art is really nice and the gun mechanics had a nice feeling. However, echoing the other comments I also found I ran out of ammo towards the end and couldn't seem to find any more anywhere. I also think having some enemy variety would have made the game feel a bit more dynamic.

Good job, game is really great!

really fun! great job man

Developer

Thank you so much, man! I’m really happy the game gave you a good time, and even happier to hear that you enjoyed it 😄

made it to wave 8, very polished for a 4 day jam, but definitely ramps up in difficulty. It also felt like I was still getting headshots but they weren't killing the zombies the further on I went, that might've been them just having more health. Either way, excellent submission, congrats :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much — this honestly means a lot! I really pushed myself during those four days, so hearing that the effort came through makes me really happy 😄 And yes, you were right: the zombies gain more health in the later waves, so headshots won’t always be a one-hit kill anymore. Wave 8 is a great run! I’m really glad you enjoyed the game, and thanks for the thoughtful feedback!

Submitted(+1)

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why i cant escape wave 5 lol im badd cool game !

Developer

Hahaha wave 5 is where the game starts fighting back 😆 You’ve got this — one more run and those zombies are cooked! Thanks for playing!

Taking out zombies was fun. Just wish ammo kept spawning. Kinda impossible without it.

Developer

Thank you! I’m really happy taking out the zombies was fun 😆 The ammo shortage is actually intentional — I wanted every bullet to feel borrowed, with the run slowly becoming more desperate the longer you survive. I may have made the late game a little too cruel though hahaha. Thanks for playing!

A nice little game loop you've got here. I eventually ran out of ammo and couldn't find enough to shoot the zombies in the end. When they swarm you it can genuinely feel pretty tense. If you had some more time to polish it you could probably have a pretty cool boomer shooter on your hands here.

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really glad the zombie swarms actually felt tense 😁 Running low on ammo is part of the survival loop — I wanted players to stretch every shot and keep the run alive for as long as possible. And hearing that this could become a cool boomer shooter honestly made my day hahaha. Really appreciate the feedback!

Nice FPS title! Like someone else said, really reminds of Krunker / Pixel Gun. Killstreak feature is a nice way to add some spice to the countdown mechanic. Shots costing time also has the added benefit of disincentivizing full auto and adding a resource management aspect to the game. Only qualms are performance-related, first launch seemingly had a memory leak that crashed my laptop.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! The Krunker / Pixel Gun comparison made me smile 😄 You understood exactly what I was going for with shots costing time, discouraging mindless full-auto, and making every bullet a resource. The first-launch crash definitely wasn’t intended though — sorry about that, and thank you for reporting it. I’ll need to investigate the memory usage after the jam.

Fun game!! After playing for a while, I ran out of ammo, which was annoying and couldn't find any more in the whole map (only health boosts). I know there was an axe, but it isn't as fun lol. My biggest complaint is that enemies despawned in front of me sometimes, which was frustrating.

Developer

Wave 8 and 7000 points?? You actually matched my own score hahaha, respect! 😘 And yep, the enemies disappearing in front of you is intentional — I made them reposition sometimes to keep the pressure up, not a bug. The ammo issue is fair though, running around with only the axe is definitely less fun 😂 Thanks a lot for fighting all the way to Wave 8 and not giving up!

Nice, simple FPS idea. The gun is satisfying to use, and the visual style reminded me of Krunker. I have to ask: did you use AI for the capsule art/logo? According to the rules, you are not supposed to use AI generated assets at all. And you have ticked "No generative AI was used" label for your game.

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really happy the shooting felt satisfying 😎 And no, I didn’t use generative AI for the capsule art or logo. They were put together manually using the credited assets from the project. I really appreciate you checking and giving the game a proper try!

This game looks awesome. I don't think I quite understand how killing zombies gives you more life, but it reminds me enough of Halo Reach's ending that it get points from me, Nice game!

Developer

Thank you so much! The Halo Reach comparison honestly made my day 😆The countdown represents your remaining life, and every zombie you kill gives you a few seconds back, so you have to keep fighting to stay alive. I’m really happy you enjoyed it!

Very fun! Headshots were very satisfying. The environment assets are fantastic.

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really happy you had fun, and hearing that the headshots felt satisfying honestly made me smile 😁 I’m glad you enjoyed the environment too

Submitted(+1)

Nice environment! Fun to play :D

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really happy you enjoyed the environment and had fun playing 🤗

Hugely satisfying lil' shooter. Always, always, aim for the head :)

Will totally be returning to this one to improve my score!

Developer

Hahaha yes, always aim for the head 😎 I’m really glad you found the shooting satisfying! Looking forward to seeing how far you make it on your next run!

The camera keeps snapping when i look around, cant tell what's causing it.. Pretty sporadic.  Also, My HP ran out before my time soo.. HP is thing despite the rumors telling me otherwise :')

Developer

Thanks for catching that! The camera snapping definitely isn’t intended. If you remember which browser you were using, that would help me track it down. And yes hahaha, HP is absolutely real — the timer isn’t the only thing trying to kill you 😁

Using OperaGX :)

Developer

Opera GX, got it. Do you have the CPU or RAM limiter enabled in GX Control? If so, could you try disabling it and testing again? My guess is the resource limit may be causing frame drops and irregular mouse input, so other graphics-heavy WebGL games might behave similarly too. Thanks for helping me narrow it down!

Submitted

Tried with and without the limiters, all from minimum allowance to 10-15% CPU and 8G ram.. Also tried with full energy saving on my laptop, but I'm having trouble re-creating the bug.. Might be hardware related, not using the same mouse as before atm.. will get back to you if i find it again!

Interesting concept.

Though if I were to give some advice, it feels like this game was built looks first rather than feature first - the map is huge, but the two button weapon switch implies there were more than two weapons planned.

For the future, I'd advice getting the mechanics down before working on the looks, and setting your priorities based on the 20 - 80 principle (20 % of the substance tends to take 80% of the time, so do the 80% of substance that take 20% of time down first - and things like map, looks ect. have a tendency to be the time eaters.)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to write such detailed feedback 😘 You’re right about the weapon slots — they’re leftovers from a bigger version I originally planned before the deadline forced some cuts. The 80/20 reminder is a good one for the next jam. Glad the core concept still came through!

I love the models! Also shooting feels satisfying

Developer

Thank you so much! I’m really happy you liked the models, and hearing that the shooting felt satisfying honestly made me smile 😁

Submitted(+1)

The map is huge, i like shooting, it's feels really nice :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I’m really glad you had fun with the shooting 😁 And yes, the map somehow became much bigger than I originally planned hahaha.

Submitted(+1)

Very nice work!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I’m really happy you enjoyed it 🥰

Submitted(+1)

Very simple game with decent graphics. I feel like the game mechanics are kind of underbaked, like there wasn't enough playtesting but all things considered it plays fine.

Developer(+1)

Fair point 😁 I definitely had to make some brutal cuts to get it finished in time. Glad to hear it still played fine though — thanks for giving it a proper try!
