This game kinda felt like a rage game, like i was quite high and then i just fell down at the begenning and i was sad :( idk if it's supposed to be that way, but if it isn't I'd restructure the respawn mechanic when you touch spikes (i get that the counter reset the level and that's cool, but it feels like the spikes do the same...)
Very awesome entry! The movement is really smooth and enjoyable, the level design is cool, and the mechanic of the level changing over time is great. Btw, the spikes popping out are some elite-level ragebait, haha. I absolutely enjoyed playing this game. Congrats on the submission!
Joke's on you, I suck at platformers. No, but this is a nice game and I always dig emissive against dark contrast. Took me a bit to not get stuck but I made my way through eventually. Good work!
absolutel peak
The game is very polished! Great work!
Nice art style, the gameplay us a bit confusing though but it was good nonetheless
The concept of the map changing based on the time left is super cool! I felt like sometimes this did cause some unfair moments like spikes popping up underneath you without warning or platforms moving when on them (or maybe this was intentional haha idk) I really like the simplistic art style. Thanks for making this fun little platformer!
Thank you for your feedback as well.
Cool game! I like the story and the level getting harder as time goes on is a cool mechanic. I think the dash button should be something other than C, though. It's hard to press while also using WASD.
Yes, pressing C isn't very comfortable when controlling with WASD, but normally in the game you dash with the Shift key anyway; it's only in the WebGL version that you dash with the C key. This is because when I first built the WebGL version, the Shift key didn't work, so I later changed it to C specifically for the WebGL version. If you download and try the game, you'll see that you need to use Shift for dashing.
Thank you for your feedback.
Oh that’s interesting. I wonder why that happened. I’ll try the download version out.
Really fun game overall i really love fast paced platformers, the artwork is simple tho loved how didnt affect the game cause u added glow to the player and squish animations when falling and jumping that shows u really worked hard polishing it and thats impressive, i really loved the dash mechanic although having to press "C" to dash was kinda hard tbh it would had been better having to press shift but that is a tiny problem, one last thing that i would have loved is being able to dash upwards or even 8 direction dash that would have added so much depth in terms of gameplay, overall awesome game dude well done.
Yes, I know the C key isn't practical for dashing. Normally, if you download the game, you dash using the Shift key anyway. The reason C is only for the WebGL version is because when I first got the WebGL build, the Shift key wasn't working, so I replaced it with C for WebGL only. If you download the game, you can dash with Shift; I also mentioned this difference in the controls section. Regarding your other point, I also thought of an eight-way dash system and initially included it in the game, but I thought it was too simple and wrote the current standard dash system instead.
Thank you for your feedback.
cool Game :D
Very cool!
The layout of the game is very pleasing to look at, and I really enjoy the background music as well. I may have been a little dense getting to understand how the map changes each time I died, but it did eventually make sense so good job making that intuitive. My only main critique would probably be some of the text in the background, I barely noticed the "C to dash" instruction and stuff like that. Overall though the level of polish on this feels very nice. Great work!
Thank you very much for your feedback.
I fell for a ton of your tricks haha. This was challenging, but I was all for it! Nice job!
