How does your game fit the theme?
You command a crew of characters, but you only control ONE at a time, and control counts down and auto-rotates to the next one every 5 seconds. Layered on top is the level's own doom clock (a bomb fuse, a rocket launch, a reactor meltdown), and almost every object has its own countdown too: timed doors, burning fuses, crumbling floors, launcher cycles. The puzzle is orchestrating a whole team you can only touch one at a time while several countdowns tick at once. Everything counts down and juggling all of them at once is the whole game.

Countdown within countdowns, super fun and creative! Clean minimalistic art.

Great game! Love the little guys, and I had to read the comments to get through Level 4, but it makes a lot of sense after understanding the mechanics.

I like the clean art style! It all feels very put together and great level design!

This is a VERY polished and well-made game for such a short time span. I loved figuring out the order needed for the levels. Great job!

Cool puzzle! I’d like to see more concepts for games where you control multiple characters

Cool and fun idea! You should try to develop this further after the event, when you have more time :D

Really awesome game! felt really smooth and polished. really cool that you can mess around with the mechanic in the main menu before you start, it made starting alot easier

Very cool game, Fun puzzles. I think some of the buttons that start a timer on another object were a bit buggy. Sometimes the timer would stop the minute you switch even with time left, other times it would work fine. Otherwise game is fun and the character designs are nice.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! When switching/skipping characters, the time left, still gets deducted from all timers. So skipping with 4 seconds left on that character means every timer still loses those 4 seconds (including the timed doors).

Hope that makes sense!

A lot of fun to play. The characters are simple, but are easy to control and have a lot of life to them. I love how they lean forward to show momentum when moving. Things like this go a long way to how a game feels.

Puzzles were good and the difficulty ramped up nicely. Great job.

I think this system has a lot of potential. It reminds me a bit of The Lost Vikings. Switching characters is fun.

In practice, I think the puzzles could use a bit more polish. In Level 3, one of the switches deactivates even though a player is still sitting on it, and I'm really not sure why. If this isn't a bug, it would be helpful to explain the reasoning.

Thank you for the feedback. Could it be that you mean level 4? If so, the top button opens the door only for 2 seconds after being pressed. This means you have to make sure that you press it at the end of lets say A’s turn and be ready to instantly walk through in B’s turn… Pressing it too early will make the 2 second timer run out before you can enter with B. And trying to walk in with C after pressing the button with A won’t work since skipping B’s turn will cost you 5 seconds aswell…

If you actually mean in level 3, then that is very odd, since there were was never any bug with buttons not working…

Sorry, I meant Level 4!
Thanks for explaining. Perhaps a timer on top of the door or an animation would help to communicate what is happening here. To me, what it looked like was that the door was closing when the characters switched.

Developer(+1)

Okay thanks for letting me know! There is a timer above the door, but I noticed from other comments aswell that this is not clear enough. Definitely a lesson learned for me. Thanks for playing either way!

Ohhhh gotcha. It can be interesting to see what players notice and don't. This is not something devs can judge for themselves because they already know the information they're trying to convey.

Fun puzzles. I like the blocky graphics too. Will save this one for later :)

Good job! Really had fun playing this one.

Pretty interesting. I would like to see a bit better platforming physics. There was a lot of friction on walls, so I missed few jumps which could work. Otherwise very nice job!
