The concept is intesting, but I think the controls should be a little more controlable to properly allow going fast, it felt like I was going on ice sometimes haha

The 3D models are also nice, well done :)

Queen County Unsound Transit?! I spot a fellow Seattleite. :)

I love the visual style! I played a second time just to drive around and look at everything. I also appreciate the timer not going down as long as I was accelerating, if only that were true irl, maybe the 8 wouldn't be late all the time...

o/

The original plan was to route out the 8 for the jam. :)

Genuinely driving with 12 seconds left on the timer had my heart racing. First time I've ever wanted to yell at people to get on the bus faster!!!

Submitted(+1)

The setup is hilarious, and made better by the death effect. The visuals are nice (love the cel shading), but the terrain can be janky at times. It would be nice to have some way to help get the bus unstuck

Developer(+1)

Definitely want to improve the terrain further. We used a simple script to generate the road mesh which was a nightmare to properly align with the terrain.

How were you able to make this in 4 DAYS?! It's AWESOME!!!

Bold choice, it’s hard to make a driving game in a jam, came out nicely though. Visuals are charming, I like the cohesion.

It’s a cool concept, I enjoyed the fast-paced chaotic movement!

One small suggestion I have is giving the bus a negative speed while driving backwards so the timer doesn’t always tick down in that state (if you’re still driving fast enough).

Great game Well done

Please rate my game Flip it

Those people did not thank the bus driver so I had to blow them up! Fun game, loved the visual style, but didn't get the idea from the get go. Only after reading the description and the second try it came down to me what the fuss the game is about

I really liked the driving mechanics and the unique take on the theme (especially the part where the countdown timer was on the bus itself). I can imagine some dramatic music playing along with this that gets more intense as the timer gets lower and lower...

Finally, the spiritual successor that Crazy Taxi deserves.

Fun game! On my first try, I decided to take a shortcut through the mountains and got lost in the city. I didn’t expect the bus to blow up when you lose, so that made me laugh. The part after the city felt a little boring, but I managed to complete the game in the end. Good job!

Really fun lol. Nothing better than slamming your bus into people waiting at the stop to efficiently get them in! Great game!

Fun gameplay!

Halfway through the ride I realized that I was roleplaying the bus drivers that I have in my region an started wondering if they were having as much fun as I had driving the bus in this game XDDDD

Submitted(+1)

Nice game. Driving the bus is surprisingly fun; I thought it would be clunkier, but it handles really well. The only thing I miss is being able to drive through objects in the city, but that's just a tiny detail. Great job!

Game doesn't seem to load for me on either Firefox or Chrome which is a shame because this is along the same vibes as our game so I was really looking forward to playing it! I just get stuck on a solid red screen after the game loads

I love the art style of this game! Feels like Crazy Taxi with how you try your best to get to the next stop as fast as possible!

Looks is amazing, love the color themes and the shapes.

Love the pitch of start, it realy does set up the theme perfectly!

I would have lovedddd to have somekind of BOOST after stopping for passenger, because going back to 0 is a bit anclimating as you need to build back your speed once more

Great concept overall!

I really like driving the bus but i got beached when i ran off the road :D

Submitted(+2)

You did a great job making the bus difficult to control, but not so difficult it stops being fun! I got exactly what I imagine the intended experience was, slamming into obstacles, sweating as the timer ticks down, getting unreasonably angry as the passengers SLOWLY WADDLE TOWARD THE DOOR!

The only things I wish to see improved would be to make the bus movement smooth rather than choppy like it is currently. It looks like its teleporting rather than driving. I also wish there was some music or atmospheric sounds to accompany our ride.

Is it just me, or could the city cut back on their spending quite a bit if they just stopped building sky roads to nowhere?

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing!

> bus movement smooth rather than choppy

By any chance did you play on firefox? We were trying with lots of Unity experimental (Unity 6.7, WebGPU) features and the triangle count of the far away city did result on perf drops on mobile and firefox. Wish we had more time to work on performance, this is something we want to get working on mobile.

I played it on Microsoft Edge. The choppy movement felt less like a performance problem and more like a consequence of how the bus movement was implemented. Like, the overall framerate felt fine, but the bus was teleporting forward. If that's not happening on your end though, then I have no idea.

I just relaunched the game to check and the movement was suddenly fine. So now I'm even more confused. I guess it's just a random chance? Even so, it didn't affect the controls at all so don't worry about it too much.
