Really simple but fun idea, and the black-and-white art style looks so cool. Chasing every bubble could get a little annoying, but I liked that you could ignore them. I may have hit a small bug near zero, though.
I got there in 49 seconds! :D
Very simple, but also pretty fun and a really neat idea. I think there's a bug when you enter the splotch right around the time you hit 0? Not entirely sure, but one time I felt like it did the counting down to the next number but ended up skipping one and killing me.
I liked the simplicity and the style here. Really effective!
The 7->6 transition is really hard haha. Maybe placing the dot lower and a bit to the right would help?
Oh yeah, that's a transition a was on the fence about, good call out. Thank you for playing and your kind words!
Pretty fun, honestly kinda annoying trying to get every bubble, but the fact you can just ignore them when you want makes up for it. What I really want to say is that I absolutely adore the art style, it looks so cool!!!! having it all be black and white and having effects like death just entirely flip the colors, along with everything being made out of smooth continuous shapes, I just love it. I would like to see a full game look like this some time, I might even try it at some point
(also I forgot to mention but my score was 64)
Thank you for playing and congrats for beating it! Glad you liked the art style.
You're the first person to mention not getting the bubbles be a deliberate strategy, nice! It was important to me that the bubbles be more of a time skip and less of a mandatory thing.
This seems very well polished! I would only suggest adding sound effects, and maybe tuning the acceleration? I found it accelerated too quickly when you were already at speed, and too slowly when you were at a standstill, but that might just be me. Idk!
Thank you for playing! And the feedback, it's really helpful to know if/when I re-tune this down the line.
And I agree, sound effects would really seal the deal here. Already thinking about some post jam updates.
Nice presentation and a fun challenge - felt very well-balanced. The static boundary between black and white looked a bit harsh - maybe anti-aliasing would have helped?
Thank you! Yeah I think there's some work to be done if I make a future version to make that feel more crisp for sure.
Really good game! feel so polished
Thank you!
This is so clever! Getting past the first 10 seconds is the hardest, then I got in a flow and clutched it out 😄 The margin of error is ruthless 😄
(optional?) SFX would go a long way I feel! Not just as juice, but to help me understand I’m thrusting.
Loved the artstyle, I always admire what people can do with just B&W, or any two colours really: works very well!
Thanks man, congrats on getting to the end!! And for playing. I ran out of time before I could add sound, but I'm taking notes for a post jam version.
Heh, that is a neat little concept! I'm not nimble enough for it, only made it to 67, but quite enjoyed my time with it. Well done!
67 is a feat! Thank you for playing!
Wow, such a cool and unique concept! I love how it's easy-to-learn, hard-to-master, well done! :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Super cool concept! I clicked instantly and didn't wanna leave t until finished (in 56 seconds :p) !
Oh wow, that's a really good time, congrats! I think that's about the finish time I get after playing it so much while developing.
Thank you for playing!
I did it, niceeeeee. Sometimes it feels like a trap to eat the bubble thing just to die in the next one cause it was too close haha. Very unique idea, simple but great execution!
Thanks for playing and congrats on getting to the end! The bubble is a tricky one haha
got the hang of it eventually, that super precise controlled boosts is where it's at. It was pretty fun!
the pain of getting so so close lmao
Oh noooo. That hurts to see. Thank you for playing!
Having to navigate inside of the countdown is a pretty unique concept, and I think you used it pretty well by requiring careful inputs.
Thanks, I was thinking I would need to add some obstacles when I first thought of the game but it turns out staying within the numbers is hard enough already haha.
This kept me entertained! Feels kinda difficult at first but then I got more used to it. Still wasn't able to complete it though haha, but maybe a skill issue lol. The presentation is really well done. I didn't have any audio - maybe intentional? Either way congrats on a fun jam game!
I didn't have time to add audio haha. But I'm glad to hear you liked it, thanks for playing!
Such an interesting idea! I really like it and played it for quite a while. The controls are a bit challenging and take some time to get used to.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for your kind words!
This is so cool. I LOVE the 1-bit art! The game is very difficult but still really fun. Nice job!!
Thank you! I didn't originally think I was going to go 1 bit for the whole thing, but I kinda kept sticking with it. Glad you liked it!
Very cool concept, the game feel is crazyyyy! Really like this game!
Thank you! I spent a lot of time trying to tweak the juice. Not sure if I got it exactly where I want it yet but it was a lot of fun to mess around with.
Cool concept!
Takes me 5 minute to even pass 70.
Nice Work!
Thank you! Appreciate your pervasiveness 💪
Really fun game, shame I couldn't complete it, but could see myself playing this one again!
Thanks man! I realized after submitting that this game is a little too far on the difficult side. That's what I get for not doing any testing and playing my own game 234789123 times 😅
