Like artstyle, music and idea for card game, but there is too much tension at the moment.
Maybe more effects and visual feedback could make better responsiveness in game.
Good job, awesome game!

Appreciate the feedback, I'm curious what you mean by tension! Agreed on the effects and visual feedback, those are certainly things we would want to refine further given more time :)

by tension i mean that for some reason, I was in a hurry to sort through the cards to get the one I needed. As the number of enemies increased, clicking and dragging became more intense, and the gameplay became faster and more intense. For card game i chose word "tension", but maybe there an better word exists :D

Developer(+1)

Ah got it! Yeah tension is a great word for it, that was our goal ;)

I like the real-time twist on the deckbuilder genre! Its a very cool concept. The game is nice and polished, and very entertaining.

Super cool and the vibe is great! It felt really unique and it did a great job a incorporating the theme. Some of the explanations of the power ups were a little confusing, and interactive or visual tutorial would be a great post jam addition.

Really cool to see more card based games!

The devs did a fantastic job!

Thanks so much! I love your solitaire bot building game by the way, once I played a couple solo games it started to click and the depth is fantastic :)

Good music and weird looking monsters!

On the gameplay though, I found myself regularly waiting to redraw and get the right number, which is not a fun thing to do. Shop items should maybe speed up this system.

Also, sometimes, when one enemy was above the other, I couldn't target the latter, I had to deal with the upper one first, which seemed strange.

Would have love more SFX too, for more juiciness!

Anyway, congrats for the jam :)

That might have been the fault of our lack of tutorial 😅 we had it at the top of the itch page and in the how to play but you can discard your cards to shorten redraw timer. Between that and card effects, you should be able to be a whirlwind of damage and it really changes stuff. The more common thing we've seen is people having too much damage and killing everything too fast since we tuned things pretty forgivingly so people could experiment more with the systems.

Glad you and enjoyed the music and monsters, we also want to add all sorts of juiciness and general ui fixes, we got super rushed at the end ♥️
