The presentation of this game was incredible, and i really liked the voice over as well. it added a lot of charm!

The fact that there was platforms moving every step as well as some projectiles etc was sent in real time made for some interresting puzzles, but unfortunately combined with the Awkward camera views and the very punishing fail state it became pretty frustrating to play.

with some more polish though, i think you've got a really neat puzzle game here. Especially with the main character who feels very cutesy and memorable!

Awesome game! I really like the 2D pixel art over top the 3D world, its a hard style to pull off. The puzzles took me a bit but thats on me! amazing work

Far exceeded any expectations that I may have had, very creative usage of the countdown theme, very pleasant visuals, audio design, and above all: it was a fun time, and unbelievably impressive for a 4 day jam. Great job!

Very nice work on the visuals and the setting! I like how the world and character is introduced. The concept of a global counter is also interesting. But I found the game too punitive. I was confused by the mix of turn-based obstacles, and real time projectiles. The fact that the perspective can be hard to read (even with the very helpful camera rotation) made avoiding those a bit too hard. And in the end I never knew if I was playing well or not. I finished a level with some steps remaining, and the night ended? Not really sure if I won or lost. I think the core concept is solid though, and the game introduces it efficiently. But I think it’d work better with smaller levels, and obstacles that encourage you to think rather than running through bullets.^^’ Still, congrats for making a such beautiful game in a short time!

Thank you so much for playing our game and for sharing such detailed feedback!

We're really happy you enjoyed the visuals, setting, and the core concept. We also agree with your feedback about the projectiles: the idea was to add a small "action" element to the gameplay, but we understand that it can make some situations harder to read. It's something we're already looking into improving after the jam ratings.

Thanks again for taking the time to play and for appreciating what we managed to create in such a short timeframe. Your feedback is really valuable to us!

This is an amazing achievement for how small the timeframe was even when considering the higher than most usual amount of people that were behind the different facets of the game. Everything here is really highly polished and has clear effort behind it. I did have some issues with the game tho. First, there no being any way to restart other than reloading the game or just wasting the amount of moves you have is a bit of an annoyance as it meant every time I commited a mistake I pretty much had to just close fullscreen, reload the page, wait for the game to load back up or just continue knowing i would get a game over anyways. The second issue was a bug that when I went into one of the elevators to the next level (the one at the end of level 2 I think) it stayed behind, and once I reached the next level I just fell through the floor, which led me to have to reload the page again. Even then, I cannot in good conscience say the game is anything less than a 5/5.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing our game and for the amazing review! Knowing that you enjoyed the experience and that you considered it a 5/5 despite the issues you encountered means a lot to us.

We're really grateful for your feedback, and we'll definitely use it to improve the game after the jam ratings.

Thanks again for your support and for taking the time to play our game. We hope you'll enjoy whatever we make next!

Really impressive game for a four day jam! This was definitely one of the most solid connections to the theme that I saw. For such a simple initial concept, you created some puzzles that had me pleasantly scratching my head. (Or I may have just had more trouble than you're supposed to with the spikes lol). It was satisfying to finally make it the end; I was very happy when the dream ended and Pete 3 woke up.

By the way, for anyone else who has a bad habit of naming the characters when you're playing jam games: Unless you're very skilled at this kind of game, DO NOT name the kids you're trying to wake up. (RIP Pete and Pete 2)

I look forward to seeing whatever you make next!

Thank you so much for playing our game and for leaving such a thoughtful comment!

We're really happy you enjoyed the puzzles and that the connection to the theme stood out to you. Hearing that some of the puzzles made you stop and think is exactly what we were hoping for!

And... poor Pete and Pete 2 😭 We'll make sure to remember them. You're actually the first person to really focus on the child who needs to be woken up... and here the plot thickens! dan dan, the dream is starting to collapse, and it raises the question: what is really happening to Pete?

Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement. We're already working on improving the game after the jam ratings, and we hope you'll enjoy whatever we make next too!

Very neat and charming little game! Sometimes 3D objects got in the way and I couldn't see, but then I realized you could move the camera.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the valuable feedback! We totally agree. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to include a dedicated tutorial during the Jam, but we're already working on it. After the voting period, we'll release a small update based on your feedback and the suggestions from the community!

Such a pretty game! There's a unique, interesting narrative that fits well with the gameplay, which gets difficult fast but not to the point of being off-putting.

Very nice game! The visuals are amazing, and the audio fits the game really well.

Aweee such cute graphics! Simple and easy to get gameplay too but ramps up in difficulty so well done!

Hope you all finish it off eventually :)

Very cute little game! I love the indicators above objects - really helps keep track of where I can/can't go! Well done :)

Love the aesthetics! At first I thought it would be easy, but when all the spikes and magic were added the difficulty definitely ramped up and became a good experience.

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! We're really happy you enjoyed the game.

A very cute game!
Sometimes, I had some little issues with perspective and bullets, but I enjoyed the puzzles (rotation  was key to figuring out some situations). One more small thing: since rotation is used frequently, I would have preferred the character not to always face the camera, to avoid the sense of disorientation.
Great job! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and for the valuable feedback! We're really glad you enjoyed the puzzles. We totally understand your point about the character always facing the camera, it can definitely create some disorientation, and we'll keep this in mind while polishing the experience.

After the voting period, we'll release a small update with improvements and fixes based on the feedback we received from the community. Thanks again for taking the time to play our game!

Cute artstyle and fun game play.

Nice Work!

Thank you so much !

The movement based timing was quite fun to wrap my head around, but there were some moments where I genuinely couldn't see what I was doing because of the environmental assets. It was also very sad if I got hit by a projectile to need to start from the beginning of the level rather than just the nearest safe location. Otherwise, good job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the valuable feedback! We're really happy you enjoyed the game core. We'll definitely keep these points in mind for the future update after the Jam!

This is very impressive, the art was especially good and I loved the way you built the atmosphere. You guys made an astonishing 3d game within the very tight time constraint, good job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for your amazing feedback! We're really happy you enjoyed the art style and the atmosphere we tried to create. It means a lot to us, especially considering the limited time of the Jam.
