How does your game fit the theme?
The Broken Clock is a short puzzle game about fixing time from the inside. You guide two cursors through a living clockwork machine, recording their paths in short loops so one can replay while the other acts. Hold buttons, turn cranks, and invert time when a mistake locks you in — then race the countdown before the gears jam for good.

This is remarkable. Really beautiful art and sound, clever puzzle design.
Run into a small issue though. After few failed attempts to align the last gear, the gear stuck at starting position and both controlling gears cannot rotate.
Yes! I've been adressed this bug but I didn't have the chance to spot it while making it. Thanks for reporting and thanks for your feedback!
Yea, this is the shit. Great job implementing the theme, I like the puzzles, feel very coop, with a single player lol.
The puzzles are a little finicky, nothing horrible and nothing not expected from a game jam in 96, so kudos all the way around! Can totally see this being expanded on for a full campaign!
I would look at how to make things not seem tedious, like the gear acting weird for example, but everything else is great.
Yeah I messed up with the gear manipulation. I should have spend more time on that but I was tricked by time 😭
Thank you so much for the feedback though!
Wow, the art, animation, and sound design are on another level. The game is super polished and really creative. I don't think the puzzles were super difficulty but I kept messing so it took me a while.
Really good game, congrats!
Thank you so much
This game is so good. I saw other play first with a character then with another once the timer goes down, but one that intercalates them never. It was really fun and a really creative idea, good job!
Very unique puzzle mechanic - would love to see more!
Thanks a lot! That's so nice to hear!
Just a really good game, honestly could go for a steam release with a few more levels!!
Thanks!
Great game, everything was perfect, atmosphere, gameplay, audio, visuals, narrative ideas, creative use of theme. Definetly one of.my favorite games from this jam, hidden gem! ❤️
Wow thanks! The jam was so hard, that's actually so nice to hear!
A really great puzzle game, especially the penultimate level, where you have to do everything in reverse it really makes the most of the whole system you've set up.
I found it a bit frustrating when I moved one character incorrectly and then had to replay the other character’s entire sequence before I could fix the first one. Being able to choose which character to control at the start of each loop should solve that problem, and I don’t think it would hurt the gameplay.
Yes, I should have worked on the fluidity of the gameplay. I noticed that replaying my own game was kind of tedious but I was stuck by the fact that the level was one background, it was complicated to redo it as it had consequences all over. Next time I'll probably work with levels instead of one unique place. Beginner's mistake 😅
The puzzle mechanics are very interesting, and the art and animations are absolutely beautiful!
Thanks!
Very cool! Love the art!
I'm clearly not smart enough for this game as I was stuck on the elevator xD
Wow, this is such an artful game! Loved the puzzles, beautifully done
Thank you so much!
This game looks absolutely beautiful! It's screaming Alice in Wonderland vibes, very cool!
awesome game!
Thanks a lot!
YESSS!!! What an amazing game, the only things I think I'd like to see would be the ability to ask for hints (I felt I didn't need them and would have preferred not using them) and maybe an undo? Like there were a couple of times I messed up and had to redo a puzzle because I went backwards.
There was one point I was certain I had softlocked myself but no it was fine, that's the thing I'm the most impressed by!
Honestly, what you managed to pull off for a game jam is absolute mind-blowing! The amount of animation, the graphic quality, and just the overall polish in such a short timeframe is just unreal. Absolutely incredible work, huge congrats!
I don't know how they created this work of art in such a short time. Congratulations!
So good! I love the visual style, the mouse is so cute :D The shadowed silhouette look and the watercolor-like backgrounds is just so pretty.
And the mechanics are SO clever! Had me scratching my head a couple of times before getting an "ahhh, right!" moment.
One of my favorites from the jam. :)
okay, you impressed me :D
This is such amazing work, I was so shocked how you designed the mechanics. Wow!
The animations, art and music are such good quality. Just a few levels above other developers.
What can I say, huge congratulations on your submission!
Dude! This is so awesome! The art is amazing, the gameplay is genius and fun to figure out! The sounds are nice and gentle but present in a really charming way! It felt like I was teaming up with myself. I had no idea what to do, but everything was so clear that I'm not sure it mattered. You can brute force it and still figure it out and it feels like there's no big punishment but maybe I didn't get super far. Right click speed up to time is really nice too! For those times you're just trying to fix a little mistake
There are few games with art and soundtrack so beautifully crafted that the moment you started it you know you are in one hell of an experience. And this is one of them. Excellent artistic choice aside, the puzzle and gameplay did not disappoint as well. With clever time looping and rewinding puzzle that forces players to think out of the box, this is truly a masterpiece if I ever see one. All the more impressive that it is made in just four days.
A few things I noticed as I was playing through the game is that it would be nice to allow players to straight up end a loop and start the next (I know you can speed it up but it still takes a second). The speed up tutorial was easy to miss (I missed it the first time). And it would also be great if I can choice which cursor to use on the start of each loop. There are moments when I notice a mistake I made on the previous loop but was forced to use the other cursor instead of fixing my mistake.
But nonetheless, this has been my favorite game in this jam so far. I am not sure if there is any plan for this game in the future and not sure if this game even needs expanding on but would gladly play a longer or even commercial version of this.
