Art looks great, you did a good job in creating a haunted platformer atmosphere.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind feedback! We put a lot of effort into creating the right atmosphere, so we’re really happy that you enjoyed it :)

Fun game and good use of the theme. Gives some flash  game vibes.

Wish i were to give more detailed/constructive feedback but I am feeling rather burnout right now (lol).

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback! I completely understand — I think all of us burned out a little during this jam :)

Interestingly, our original idea was actually to make a game about a game developer slowly burning out =)

Good use of the chair. Has flames. Theme check.

Rather fun, but can be a bit punishing if you are almost at the end and fail (like me :P)

Controls are easy, although a bit clunky with the jump.

Good graphics, love the drawn story at the start.

I love the music that starts playing after a bit.

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! To be honest, I rarely manage to win myself =)

i like the art of the game

Thank you! I’ll pass the compliment on to our illustrator :)

Very interesting game, lovely art too. Enjoyed having to survive.

The one thing I'd ask you guys to consider is adding some platforming QOL (Variable jump height comes to mind), still, nice work!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! That’s a great idea!

Really enjoyed this! Surviving until dawn kept me on edge, and I liked using the chairs to create safer paths. The atmosphere and art were great, and the ghost AI made the chases fun. Nice work! 👏

Developer

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! It’s incredibly motivating :) I’ll definitely pass your kind words on to the rest of the team!

Solid entry and aligned with both themes. The mood and atmosphere set during the intro scene is spot on, though there is quite a disconnect in terms of art style between the intro and the actual game; not sure if it was intended or just a lack of time (understandable given the confines of the jam).

The visuals inside the room were a bit hard to see in the darkness, definitely gave the idea of being at night, but it was hard to see anything even with the monitor brightness high enough. The physics needs some tweaking: a bit more weight to the player, or extra gravity, as I felt I was floating most of the time, and the jumps definitely felt like being on the moon.

Nice touches with audio direction both on music and sound effects.

Love the atmosphere of the game. Good game.

Thank you for playing our game =)

Cool! I really liked the game. This kind of game fits perfectly into the jam. I also liked it:

The soundtrack when it starts to get light, it's very cool

Easy to manage, you understand everything quickly

We played both jam themes well, well done.

If you really find fault with the fact that you could have added a little more content to the game, but this is more of a task after the jam, and the game doesn't need it for this event. All in all, it's a good game. Good luck to you)

Fun game, the controls are very responsive and i like the burning bar

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback! I’m really glad someone noticed and appreciated the burning bar, because I added it right at the very end and stayed up until around 2:30 a.m. working on it =)

I also played and rated your game!

Reminded me of old school pack rat, spent hours on these linear up plataform games, the graphics are really good, the scenes e except for some clunky jumps in the chair that compromised my scape from the ghost, it's fun! The scenary and music  though can be polished, I think you had the same issue as us with the sound when exporting to web html right?

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback! We’re really glad you enjoyed the game.

There couldn’t have been any technical compatibility issues with the audio, since the game was built in JavaScript and runs directly in HTML5. We simply added the sounds in a hurry right before the deadline, so they definitely need more work.

You’re absolutely right about the animations as well. If we decide to develop this prototype further, reworking them will be the first thing I tackle.

The art in this game is amazing! The character felt pretty responsive, but the hitboxes on the ghosts could be a bit more forgiving. Nice game!

Developer

Thank for your feedback! We many debated about hitboxes, thank you for help =)

There is some depth in setting up the chairs to make shortcuts. It can be quite fun.

Developer

Thank, you for plaing!

I survived until dawn.  I picked up a chair over my head but I don't think I ever used it.  I just jumped around while holding the chair.  I think the game idea is quite simple - dodge the ghosts until dawn.  I wonder what would make the game more interesting.. maybe a way to destroy the ghosts or have a health bar or ghosts take more damage in front of the sunlit windows - I don't know just throwing things out there.

Developer

Cool ideas, Thank you for playing

Submitted(+1)

Liked the art and vibe of this one, I think it could do with having the difficulty ramped up a little or something more to do in the level as I found myself just chilling in the basement or loft haha

Developer(+1)

I really tried to repeat your tactics, but I was killed :D

Nice game and I loved the art! Tho it might've needed to be harder and faster, cuz I was only being chased by 1 slow ghost and others were far away

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. You are first player, who asked to make game more difficult. Other people said, that game is realy hard)

Submitted(+1)

Wow the art is just so good!! keep the great work like you did with this game

Developer

Thank you for play game)

Lovely start art and ingame! Feels like the game doesn't start until dawn when the ghosts get faster and you have a timed goal. You could flesh this out with some more objective or collectible during the night. The controls were okay, would like a duck or dash for more control in intense situations!

Developer

Thank you so much! That’s really nice to hear :) Our illustrator truly gave it everything and even stayed up for a couple of nights to polish the artwork to perfection. Those are great suggestions, and if we decide to turn the prototype into a full game, we’ll definitely keep them in mind!

the ghost AI is really well done, it reminds me of Pacman - each ghost has a different behaviour, so they will eventually corner you from multiple sides if you're not careful.

the game gets really hard towards the end, with the ghosts being much faster.

i also really like the beginning illustrations, and the map layout

overall very fun to play! :3

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! I’m really glad you noticed how much work went into the ghosts’ behavior — our programmer will be very happy to hear that. I’ll pass your compliments along to our illustrator as well :)
