As a fan of both DnD and touch typing games, this really is right up my alley. I love your interpretation of the theme, the art is quite good and the music is fantastic! Great job! If you do end up expanding it further, I’d definitely come back for more. :D

I really like your interpretation of the theme here!
Thinks makes for a fun typing game and you did a great job of staying on brand for D&D.
Great work!
This game got me excited more than I expected! A cool game, and man, those cats can be vicious.
Seriously, you’ve created a really cool touch-typing trainer, and I strongly recommend considering a commercial release.
Making modern players type text on a keyboard is a very bold gameplay choice, although it probably won’t appeal to everyone. I didn’t quite understand how the game connects to the jam theme, but both the idea and the execution are excellent.
The graphics are absolutely top-notch!
Thanks, glad you liked it! We’ll definitely consider expanding it :D
About the jam theme: we’ve interpreted the “burn” part as witty insults and the “slow” both as 1) it’s a game about speed and 2) each burn deals little damage, making it a slow process to defeat your opponent (inspired directly by the “Vicious Mockery” cantrip in D&D, because i find the concept of two bards shouting insults at each other, dealing 1d4 per hit, until one of them faints very funny).
I legitimately tried to smash my keyboard on the higher difficulties. (Didn't work).
Great game!
A super unique interpretation of the theme! And having grown up on Mario Teaches Typing I was super ready for this. I enjoyed it a lot!
Hi, I saw your post. I thought your idea was really original, and the sprites look great too. While playing, I also came up with a few ideas. One thing that could be really cool is if each keystroke played a rhythmic sound that synced with the background music. That way, typing correctly would naturally add to the melody, making it feel rewarding on its own. Another idea would be to have the letters burn away as you type them. I think that would fit the jam's theme even better, and it reminded me of that meme of the that guy whose ink catches fire while he's writing.
Since the game is fairly short, I tAhink adding a score system could give players an extra incentive to take on higher difficulties. It could also be fun to award bonus points for typing entire words perfectly without missing a single letter, something like a combo system.
It's been years since I've played a typing game. Really enjoyed the setting, theme and art. Good job! :3

I loved this take on typeracer, it's a great idea to transform it into a 1v1 fighting game. I see huge potential, if you'd want to spend more time spicing it up a bit, it would work great as a rogue-like or a multiplayer game.
Loved the cute art, great job! :))
Good job, typing games are fun if you can type. I had fun, but I wasn't paying much attention to the actual dialogue. so it's either reading the context and dialogue or typing and winning... :)
